Gaming FIFA 19

We need to talk about IF Weghorst... 81 rated, looks terrible, played 3 games for me, scored 6 goals, all headers.

Guy is an absolute beast in the air. 6ft 6in, 93 strength, 85 jumping and 91 heading accuracy with basic. Useless at everything else. I'm tempted to put a Sentinel on him and play him from the start instead of as a sub. With Sentinel, you have a 6ft 6in striker with 99 strength, 99 heading accuracy and 90 jumping lol. Guy will never miss but obviously is zero use at anything else. He's also got 83 composure which while not great is better then someone like Gabriel Jesus

Honestly I'm doing the Bundesliga wins thing, an my new tactic is put him on and spam crosses from the wings, if my Cam's end up inside, spam shots and get corners. He's scored or hit the post with every single corner I've had.

Sounds interesting, I'll have to give him a try. :lol: At the very least he'd be a great option to bring off the bench to cause some havoc in the box. Another good super-sub is Hulk, with Finisher chemistry at 5 he's got 94 long shots, 98 shot power. He's cheap as well, you can get him for about 2k.
 
Anyone play career mode? My housemate and I have began it with Wolves (his local team) and we are having a whale of a time playing it at the same time.

Cutrone becomes an absolute beast on it. Signed Ndidi and an Italian CDM too that's going to be the next Gattuso/Pirlo hybrid I feel.

Anyone else found any hidden gems who's potential can go through the roof?
 
Packed IF Mertens and Oblak in the Alonso SBC 100k pack.

I feel bad for people who play career mode.

EA don't care 1 bit about you guys.

Minimal(if any) made to that mode over the years.
 
With United being so disappointing this season, I was hoping 19 would be good.

Instead it's the worst FIFA I've ever played by far. EA have gone backwards in so many ways.

This is the first time ever in FIFA we're playing it. I think it's a good laugh when you and a friend are playing within same house. Better than one vs one.
 
Anyone lend me some advice on the black friday market crash and icons? Didn’t get involved with Ultimate team til quite late last season so i missed the first price crash this time last year. I’m currently holding middle Owen which i bought for 642k. Will the icons crash loads aswell? Or is he a safe investment bearing in mind i could probably sell him for 670k+ later on this week? Im leaning towards selling and sitting on my coins til Black Friday but keeping Owen would also be lovely :lol:

I'd doubt it, icons only really are effected by SBC's.
 
Without doubt the worst set of WL & Division rewards.. absolutely nothing in the two player picks and nothing over 82 in the packs:lol:
 
Is Dybala worth £240k? Thinking of taking the plunge but 3* week foot putting me off slightly...

Bought him for 240k last week.

I agree his weak foot is a bit off putting but any shot you do get off on his left 9/10 ends up in the back of the net.

He is also one of those players who feels "special" when dribbling so adds that extra dimension going forward.
 
How important are the chemistry lines? Does green really make a difference if the team chemistry is already at 100?

See my defence currently is Mendy, Laporte, Stone, Trippier I have Lucas on the right wing. My issue is I was planning on getting Walker in and putting Sterling in front of him but I packed Sergio Roberto who is 84 rated compared to Trippiers 81 and I have Ousmane Dembele in the ranks. I can then look to try and get Umtiti instead of Stones.

Anyway is it worth taking the hit of a red line for say the extra 3 rating points Roberto would bring.

Ratings don’t mean anything. Trippier would be just as good as Roberto so don’t think you need to play him because has a 3 higher rating. Chemistry affects the stats of each player so you’ll probably want all players on 10 chem though it’s not the worst thing in the world if you have a couple on 7.
 
Will be minimal/no difference having a player on 7 chem. Definitely not worth having to make a sub at the start of every game, hate those guys:nono:

I got red Szczesny and red Rondon in my red pick packs, Szczesny is ok I guess but I don't use a serie a team. I got 2 walk outs in my packs too and was super excited but felt let down in the end as one was IF El Shaarawy and Ozil so 2 walkouts that didn't even add up to 50k :/
 
Packed Road to the Final Hamsik from my squad battles rewards, nothing else from the 15 packs I opened this morning. Have no clue how I'm going to put a team together atm...

I have 5 players I want in my team and four are from different leagues plus an icon, Hamsik (Serie A), Potm Hazard, Rttf Tah, Casemiro, and Prime Rio. Hardest SBC I've ever faced lol.
 
Hate to hog the thread but I just go my best pack luck of the season, was doing the CL 3 player pack and I pulled CL Marcelo 89 rated, exactly what I needed. I can now work a little triangle of Marcelo, Casemiro and Rio.. happy days. Or I could sell RTTF Hamsik and buy Varane which would free my team right up.

Varane is godlike. I have him and Hernandez(CB IF) at the back with Anchor chemstyles. Can press as high as i want as there is little chance of running past them. IF you have not tried either of them, i seriously suggest you try them.
 
Someone told me recently that all subs enter the game with 5 chem regardless of their actual chem ratings if they started. Anyone know if there’s any truth in that?

No odds on either as well, means they can do some jiggery-pokery perhaps.

If you have enough points you can loan him for 5 games from the catalogue and see if you like him. His dribbling and finesse shots are brilliant.

Without a doubt, I get consistently better players from SBC's best player I got from rewards and probably only decent player was Hamsik, from SBC's I've pulled tons of good players (though nothing great).

I'll pick Varane up Monday I think, he'll be probably at his cheapest then.

The middle CAM in a 4 2 3 1, would be too weak/small for a lone striker probably unless playing a false 9.

Yes all subs will have a default 5/6 chemistry, from previous reading I think it was 6, but either way minimal difference really.
 
The most EA thing of all time happened today, they released Icon set 3, lots of people submitted icons and then EA deleted the SBC before people could finish the SBC, market is almost extinct. They cocked up big time... this sums up Fifa 19 to a tee.

They messed up big time on the requirements. After you had finished it the first time you could farm 100k packs for basically free. Had they not removed it, it would have killed off the gold market.

Indeed, but by removing it they left alot of players stuck, it's their fault for allowing baby icons to reach such stupid prices in the first place imho, had they not put such little supply and high demand, then they could ask for a baby icon and 86, 87 rated teams for an icon set like this. Given the players in set 3, there is not one worth a 650k baby and then an 86-87 rated squad. They've also driven up the prices even more by having so many submitted baby Icon's in an SBC thats disappeared and killed supply to the market.

Last years icon SBC's were fine they shouldn't have messed with the formula. Short times to get the SBC done have really driven up baby prices and caused the entire mess.
 
IF Belotti is incredible. On the other hand, I’m really struggling with Dybala. His stamina seems shite and I find myself thinking too much about trying to put it on his strong foot with only 3* weak foot that I’m getting dispossessed all the time.

That's a huge problem with dybala imho, he's also kinda weak. Easily dispossessed. He only really works at right cam or right wing imho.
 
6w 2l so far. Lost my 1st game on peno's after dominating. Won 6 in a row, lost my 8th game to a 92nd minute goal 3-2. One of those where I kept winning tackles but not getting the ball. Other guy was a better player though so was a fair enough L.

They also released Sancho as Bundesliga POTM but have now taken it down
 
I’m absolutely horribel in FIFA 19, losing every FuT game by 5 goals and have literally no idea how to play this years FIFA.. Sure, let the AI do the defending while I use another player to cut off passing lanes... But I’m getting absolutely crushed in every game despite being very good in every FIFA up until 19.. Tips?

Anybody here done the Aubameyang SBC? I've used his loan for 5 games and he has a grand total of zero goals. Too early to say of course but he's probably been the worst striker I've used so far this year :lol:
