I haven't had massive luck but my luck with the CL packs has been pretty decent. I've packed CL Alderweireld last time and got Tolisso from the untradable 2 players packs. My luck with every other pack type has been junk.

As P-Nut said, once the MM and other SBC is over he'll be unpackable and his price will rise, I'd hold him till the Thursday (this day week) after MM disappears. That's when everyone has reward money and prices rise as people buy for weekend league. If you can hold out that long.

Guess you are up against players that let the AI handle all the defending. I strongly dislike them to. What they are doing is that they never take control over the defenders, and uses the CM/CDMs as the players that they control. Best way to counter it is to overload in attack, press immediatly after ball loss and with fast defenders sitting back in addition to a beast CDM that is not allowed to go forward. Get Mandzukic inform and start crossing towards him, will force them to start pressing.

So you think hold on for another 7 days? Easy! I need no excuse to hold on to him for a while, haha. Had enough coins to build a decent team around him and my luck continued this morning by packing (untradeable) Sandro of Juve in my rivals rewards. Happy days.

My luck got slightly better this morning. Packed Peresic untradable. He's a beast, good in general play and then the deep cross to the back post he beats pretty much every fullback to the header.
 
Prob the first year since Fifa 08 I wont buy this. Currently playing the 10 hour trial, but it just doesnt pull me in.

It is an improvement for sure. Just something missing that I cant put my finger on, it doenst have the itch to pick up and constantly play for some reason.
 
Started a FUT team today and currently my midfield is Gourcoff and Mvilla and if this was 2006 or whenever Talking Reds would be vastly impressed :lol:
 
So I got some FIFA points and got Kante on a walk out, but can someone explain to me why a team of the week card seems to be worth more as I got Jovic or someone who is 81, but just scanning the quick sale value of that card is 9k whilst Kante was 700. What’s so special about these team of the week cards?

Its abit messed up, but if you sell that Kante card he will sell for thousands. All the gold rare cards have a discard value of 650-700, even Messi would. But if you list them on the transfer market they would never go that low, not even sure they would let you start an auction on messi at 700 coins. The TOTW cards always start at 10kish discard value as they are special cards, but alot of them aren’t worth alot still as the actual rating and ability of those players aren’t particularly stand out great.

So apparently the cheapest one on the ps4 market is like 550k after being like 470k or so usually... annoying. Was about to buy. Have to wait for his price to normalize

Edit: Actually makes sense, since it's the WL tomorrow. Guess I'll wait til Sunday or Monday

Yeah when I went and had a look about in the market I saw that Kante was going for 400k+ I think I’ll just keep a hold of him thank you @Igor Drefljak

I’ve effectivly built the budget French team but the market is so weird and although I’m a proud card carrying member of Martial FC is the FIFA market flooded with us. Wanted a French LW so automatically thought Martial will do but he seems to be highly valued with bids starting at 30k so I picked up Lemar for just over 1k and is Benzema now filth as I got him for 2k? Strange place.

Yeah I picked him up for 500k yesterday. Seriously considering swapping him in for Pogba, he's good defensively so if you was going to use him as the DM he'd probably be fine.
 
Chose coins from division rivals (d3 r2), and hoped to the pack luck gods for WL rewards.

Got a spanish keeper, and then 84 SIF Lala for the player picks.

Then packed Koulibaly and Thiago Silva from a mega pack and rare players pack.

500k in a week from packs. Cannot complain at all.... almost makes me want to buy fifa points....
 
My fortunes have somewhat changed today.
Brought Immobile back in and things are looking up

Is it just me or have keepers gone to utter shit.
Like, coming out for things automatically that they shouldn't.

I've' had my keeper come out for a corner which ended in a goal, and a ball over the top that my defender was easily going to win until he clattered into him.
It's as if this new update has messed around with them somewhat.
 
I'd been away for a few weeks, finally got back to clubs today and joined the club I always join with old school friends (been playing clubs with them for about7-8 years). They were 36 wins, 4 draws, 0 losses. They made jokes about me not bringing them down. Anyways we go ahead and lose the first game, and I had a stinker. Feels bad.
 
My rewards were absolute muck this week, picked untradable players for Rivals, first week I've got absolutely nothing useful. Well a couple of 85's but I can't get them in my team. Skrinar, Kheidra

Sold Keane to bring in Pogba. He's just different gravy, 3 goals and 4 assists in 3 games.

Keane would be perfect as a DM but for the price he's really not worth it.

Did you sell before or after the new icon sbc's? They're all 100k more expensive now. Missed out by 10k yesterday and now I cant afford him :(

fecking before. Must have been about 5/6 hours before it came out. I could have got Eriksen to go with Pogba in my midfield had I waited.

Ouf brutal. Sold my Scholes and Giggs, had to since they're going for over 600k and I bought them for like 820k combined. 600k for the cheapest icons is a crazy amount. Have 1.7mil now after selling those 2 and my 500k I had before. Will buy them all back eventually when they fall back down to 400k or so, here's hoping that this is just a temporary price because of the sbc's and that they don't stay this high.

Yeah they dropped back down last time so hopefully they will drop back down a little bit. I want prime Keane in my midfield.

Managed to get the money together for Eriksen so I don't feel too bad now. I've taken Firmino from starting as a striker to my DM. He's insane in midfield on this game

Finally got 14 wins in game 29. Thought my gf was going to kill me.

Full meltdown, smashed control, neighbour thinks I'm mental, my kids are shivering with fear upstairs in bed. Pretty sure i have bloodbclots in my legs.. Good day... Never again.

I've struggled like mad today. 11 wins from 20. 6 wins from 10 for gold 2 would normally be doable, but the way I'm playing god knows.
 
First refresh for the scream cards. Balotelli's pace to 91, Forsberg and Shaqiri's shooting to 91, Caceres' defending to 91 and I'll lose coins on them all. This is why I'm not a business man, I thought I was going to make a boatload from these investments. Live and learn.

How the feck is Caceres so cheap? Stick a Sentinel chem card on him and he looks like one of the best CBs in the game right now

I know, it's mad. 94 rated CB with sentinel. I've played a couple of games with him and he's excellent.
 
Icons are gone stupidly expensive, if they weren't so overpriced I'd have Rio by now.
 
I was 13-2 this afternoon and was waiting for my luck to turn. It finally has and I'm now 14-6. I've lost the last 4 games in a row and it feels like every bounce has gone against me. Matchmaking is taking longer too so I'm assuming it's pairing me up against the better players. Suppose I can't complain too much as I definitely got lucky during my winning streak earlier.
 
Is it worth upgrading to Chiellini/Koulibaly from Benatia/Manolas? I haven’t come up against Chiellini once this year; however, Koulibaly has always been a monster when I’ve encountered him. Benatia/Manolas aren’t exactly bad though, so not entirely convinced just yet.

Also, is Callejon the consensus best option for RF in a 4321? For me he’s the best of a mediocre bunch in Serie A. I’ve used IF Suso before and didn’t like him. Cuadrado’s finishing rules him out too, I feel.

Don't use Chiellini, my pair is Benatia and Kouliaby and I am happy, although I've used Manolas twice and not Chiellini
