Did anyone do those SBC’s? I have 2 Lincoln players but none of the others required. I might sell the 2 I have as last I checked they were going for around 9k.

The SBC is silly will cost 16k or so for the required players, chances of getting that back is really slim imho. Take the cash, you'll pull in 17-20k which you won't make back from the packs.
I got 8.3k for 1 Lincoln City player, a victory for BPM! I read on the fifa forums where some guy actually suggested buying a ton of these players a week or so ago. Guy must be making an absolute killing. Chances are if I did the SBC I wouldn't have made 8k back off the pack.
Had about 7/8 of the players from Lincoln etc. Made about 50k
Am I missing something? Seems to me those 2 new SBCs are really shit value. Over 20k for either an electrum pack or premium gold pack.
What does everyone on here do with their untradeable players? Seems like such a waste getting players that you'll never use and are unable to sell. That's one of my only gripes with Ultimate Team compared to when I used to play it back in 12 & 13.
Yeah, not really worth it if you have to start from scratch. Like I said before, I had 2 Lincoln players but none of the other required players. I was tempted to sell and actually did, as suggested by @padr81 and ended up making around 18k for the two combined. If you have any of the players in question, the safe move is to cash in.
Ideally, use them in a relevant and meaningful SBC somewhere down the line. If you’re really stuck, throw them into 2 player upgrade packs and try to snag something relevant to your squad or higher rated that could be used in a bigger SBC. I’ve taken untradeable rewards from Rivals the past 2 weeks and it gave me players such as Thiago, Kompany and Jonas. I have no plans to use them as I’m working almost exclusively with a Serie A side; however, it’s always good to have your club stocked and ready to move on an SBC when it drops.

EA have said that there'll be 2 Halloween SBC's to get 2 Halloween cards that aren't available in packs and it's most likely the requirements will be 83/84 teams so it'd be a good idea to invest in some of the ones that are in good leagues/positions whilst their cheap before those SBC's come out.

I love that 4231 with the custom tactics, but I’ve really struggled against 41212 narrow lately, my last loss was against that formation. There was one game where I was being dominated by a guy playing 41212 narrow, my opponent had around 10 shots while I had 2. I switched to that formation and made some CT changes and I ended up winning 4-0 with more shots than him.
Bottom line: 4231 with the custom tactics that you mentioned should make you dominate every game apart from against good players playing 41212 narrow, in which I’ve found fighting fire with fire to be the best solution. If anyone needs custom tactics for that, I’ve found this to work out really well:
Constant pressure, 5 width, 7 depth, balanced attack, 6 width, 3 men in box(disclaimer: I’m not playing the game in english so the wording is probably way off).
Strikers on get in behind and stay in the middle, CAM on stay in attack and free roam, the other three mids on cover middle, the CDM on remain in defense, the two sidebacks on remain in defense

Anyway, you talking about the 4231 narrow? Try to set the depth and width to 7. As for attack, balanced, 6 width and 3 players in box works really well. I got that tactic off a pro player I faced. It’s perfect for dominating games.
Yeah I made Elite 3 last week and Elite 3/2 quite a couple of times on FIFA 18. My record right now isn’t that different to what it was at this stage last week. Think I was like 15-2 last week but the way I’m playing thanks to those CT’s is so much better, haven’t really had to grind out any games as they’ve all been fairy comfortable.
Yeah whenever I’m struggling against narrow formations I just put on attacking fullbacks using the D Pad as you can get away with them up the field due to the opposition not having wide players, it helps me break them down as there’s more attacking options.
Damn, didn’t think of that. That’s really clever, but the danger is you can end up in frequent 2v2 situations with two defenders against two strikers. How do you manage that?

I just try to stop them from doing quick L1 + X passes with each other when they’re countering.

I don't know if he'll go up again midweek, he's already out of packs and price might drop with rewards Sunday night, It's 40k profit, I'd cash out and find something to invest in. I can't see United being in CL MM either as they are in the league one.

The game seems to even out results regardless I find, if you started 1-8 you'd probably still be in the same position going into the final stretch. I know form plays a part but I think there is more to it than that. I find no matter how I start (good or bad form) I'll finish between 14-18 wins regardless. I've seen a few youtubers say the same, their results tend to balance out.
Yeah, I'd agree with this. I was 15-5 this afternoon and was pretty confident of finishing at least Gold 1. Ended up going on a horrible run of form and finished on 19-11

Yeah I definitely think the same. My mate finishes gold 3 every week despite constantly having a bad start with 1-9 and shit. Then I will always finish gold 2 now it seems. Last year it was gold 1 consistently with the odd elite thrown in.
I think I played too many games in 1 day. I couldn't be bothered playing for about 5-6 games today and I think I lost every single one of them.
I'll be sitting on about 300k after selling the rest of my Fellainis.

Also considered swapping my Bundesliga players for La Liga. Not looked at the costs yet but Varane or Ramos are a massive upgrade on Boateng. Rodriguez would drop to the bench most likely but I'd sell Alaba and Thiago.

Could go Serie A instead and get Chiellini, Sandro and Matuidi?
Can see me having the same problems with Chiellini as I did with Boateng and Van Dijk. They are great defenders, but insanely slow when it comes to tracking back. Want someone with a bit of pace in there. Manolas would likely be a better shout if I went that route.
