Can’t find a good way to fit Aubameyang and Kane in a team without compromising the three in midfield. You can’t retrain Auba to be a RF. Only a CF.

Just played a 4-2-4 with Kane-Auba and Martial-Willian as the wings. Won 5 - 0. Can’t tell if it’s amazing or if the guy was crap.
Thats awesome. I like it this year, few issues but its a challenge and find there aren't as many 7-6's etc.. going on.
Don't get 41212(2), has never worked for me. 433(4) is my go to.
I started out with 433(4) had to switch to 433(2) point backwards instead of forwards. Was constantly getting picked off on the counter with no midfield sat in.
Seen a few people using that which I've never seen used before this year. Seems OP at the moment to be fair so might give it a go myself, need someone to swap for Mkhi if I'm going to move to that though.
Firmino moved back to CM is a must by the way for anyone looking at a mid range midfielder. Excellent shots and his work rate means he isn't a liability defensively.
Won all my games but two were very close. Last minute winner from Rashford in one and Auba got two in the last 5 mins in another to make a guy rage quit. He was playing like a dick too which was so satisfying.
Formation definitely leaves me exposed on the counter. I feel like when I defend I’d just be better off controlling a midfielder and letting my AI defend because it feels like everyone else does that.
Yeah this is 100% true which annoys me, but I've had to start doing the same. It's impossible to defend as well as the ai does so the second you start controlling a defender you get ripped to pieces.
I grab either Firmino or Fabinho and run around like a headless chicken.
I'm using 433(2). The results were horrible in the beginning when I had default tactics. Now I play with constant pressure and fast build-up. It's identical to how Liverpool play. I get more exposed in defence but also create plenty of chances.
Against some opponents who have pacy attackers and are able to easily bypass my press, I switch back to defensive where my tactics is to sit back and hit on the counter.
Won a ridiculous game last night when I was 4-1 down around the 60th minute. Changed to ultra-attacking where I had pushed all the players up. It was like a Fergie come back. I was especially pleased because my opponent was d*cking around after his 4th goal.
Serie A team users.. has anyone tried Matuidi.. have got around 80k coins to spend so looking to invest and he is the best CDM I believe.
I dropped to Rank 2 overnight and when I turned on the game, I had only 7 minutes left. I was under 1000 points from Rank 1. If I had gone on 15 minutes earlier, I would have got Rank 1. Anyway, ended up choosing the tradeable packs and my highest rated player was fecking Mandanda! I should have just taken the coins.
I made that mistake last week! Took the coins straight away this time.
I will never be able to get to rank 2 and stay there due to level of games, I played about 10 I think and won all 10 to stay in rank 3. Chose the untradeable packs (2 mega and 4 jumbo premium)... Got Fabregas and Sule and a load of crap.
Dropped to rank 3 over night. Chose 2 tradeable mega packs and got Fabinho so a great end result.
I don’t think I’ll ever choose untradeables, they are the devil. You’re forced to keep a player that you might not want, and then when you don’t wanna use them anymore, you’re pretty screwed.
Despite getting lucky with my packs, I don’t think FUT rivals is worth the time you have to put in, especially since the ranking system ensures that you’re always getting tough games. Champs with 30 games seems to be better value this year

The Division Rivals has been closed today. When will it reopen? Been playing Squad Battles to pass the time.
How does Fut Champs work these days and how is more rewarding? I might try it when I eventually get to 2000 pts. I have played 21 games in total since the game released to cant see me finishing 30 any time soon
So I opened a few (or 80..) of them crappy 15k packs on release but hadn't got round to playing much since this past week. The (underwhelming) pulls made me go the PL and Serie A route so I've been building on those teams for my first crack at weekend league.
I don't feel like I'm 100 with this formation even though i create plenty of chances so still messing around with them on custom tactics. Trying to avoid the typical 41212.
Am enjoying it and glad EA didn't go and change the whole thing with the patch.

I'm not sure how many rivals games I've played across the week, but it's around 30, and even then I couldn't finish in the top 2 ranks.
The rewards for champs are just better. It takes a bit of graft to get in, but once you've qualified it should be easy enough to stay in. You don't have to play all 30 games, even just getting to gold will give you decent rewards. There's a bigger variety of players who qualify as well so not every game will be against someone as good or better than you. You also get rivals points for winning champs games I believe.
Got decent rewards tbh... All untradable and two duplicates but
Gundogan, Fred (dup), Mandzukic, Werner (dup), Miranda and a few other decent players, should have taken the 58k and I'd be well on my way to getting Aguero but I couldn't resist the gamble.

I'm not much better tbh, current record is something like 106 - 28 - 80, although I did forfeit 20+ of those games for loyalty (I didn't know about the glitch) and have lost about 10 Squad Battles.
When are weekend league rewards out? I'm going to wait to open my rivals rewards until then. Think I'm going to go untradable all year. Should keep me interested in building my side that way, as if I took the money I could probably finish my side in a couple of months and then I'd be bored of it.

Didn't realise you dropped ranks. I was at Rank 1 the other day and when I played last night I was at Rank 3. Got back up to 2 before I went to sleep but it probably dropped again.
It goes with however much others play. Think rank 2 needed ~16k, rank 1 around 24k?

Don't. I'm looking to get rid of him, his shooting is so bad he misses the easiest chances and even though I've got him set to stay back as a DM he still pops up in forward positions all the time. I'm considering going back to Matic

I'm gonna go for Keano at just under 400k, seems to be perfect as a defensive mid.
I have Kante, I'm considering to swap him for Keane as icon card is easily superior and give better chemistry link.
Got 115k to improve this team. Thinking either Mertens or Douglas Costa. I like Gomez but he’s so tiny that he’s useless in the air so I’m worried Mertens will be the same. Fullbacks are the weakest part of the team rating wise, but they play surprisingly well. Alex Sandro could be an option too.

How is Nainggolan this year? I’m looking at snagging him as my next improvement, his stats seem to suggest he’ll be tremendously effective.
