Gaming FIFA 19

Finally got to grips with this now it seems. One win away from being promoted to div 4 on that division rivals. That'll allow me to play less and still qualify for the higher rewards which is nice.

Started a career mode with Norwich on legendary difficulty and disabled the first summer window to make it more realistic. Currently 6th in the Championship after 16 games. Getting to grips with the first FIFA game I've bought since FIFA 16 (which I've played ever since) has proven to be a challenge but it's the most fun I've had playing FIFA in a long time.

I really can't see how anyone would spend money on packs in Ultimate Team. I just spent finishing the Hybrid Nations SBC and what I can got in my pack rewards was total bollocks. People actually pay for that sort of shit?

Grind the transfermarket based on SBCs. A lot more efficient way of earning coins. Doing SBCs is on average a waste of coins, unless it is a full league SBCs.

Anyone tell me why my squad battles werent updating last night? I couldn’t fulfil two of thursday’s fixtures and didn’t play friday, but before that was hanging around gold rank 1 before not being given any more fixtures when i logged on Saturday?

I don't know what this means :(

Try and buy players in advance of them being needed in SBCs their price will shoot up when they are needed so you can sell them for massive profit. For instance I just sold a silver Charlton CB for 2.7k

On the subject of trading, is buying discard price totw players a good idea? I'm guessing their price will shoot up once they are needed in SBCs?

Long term yes. Was very usefull in the halloween scream SBC or christmas SBCs last year. 84+ rating was a must last year: Yann Sommer. But GK can be a risk.

Isn’t it impossible to predict when they will be needed though?

You can try predict the marquee matchups. Can lead to huge gains but also to losses. Get in early and buy up a couple weeks in advance and then sell a couple days before release on the hype. I'd say never wait for the mms list to actually be revealed. Need to sell on hype.

Also just find an sbc that requires silvers. Find a silver player who people are using. Buy them on bid for less than bin. It's easy to get silvers cheaper on bids and people are lazy and will bin it off you.

Hazard will most likely be the PL SBC for september. Buying Chelsea, Lille and Belgium players might be an idea.
Also a less riskier and basically guarantee profit investment is just getting 83-84 rated players when they're cheap and sell when they're needed. Right now you can get some 84's for 2.5k, some 83's for basically discard price. If you need an 83/84 rated squad, 83's go for 3k or so and 84's can go over 6k. Even less of a risk is the 83/84 players from the premier league. Hazard potm would surely need high rated squad and premier league players. Pretty sure Kepa is one of the cheapest 83's in the prem, he's 83, plays for Chelsea. Tick off a lot of requirements right there.

Also if nothing else, you sell all these the day before the sbc is released and you'll make huge profit if you don't want to risk making the big money but also losing the guaranteed profit. The hype for these is always there and goes up a lot. Mandzukic for example I have loads of, got them at around 2k, last friday before the sbc's dropped he was almost 4k just out of a small chance of an 84 squad being needed for Lucas, and then he dropped and I got a bunch at discard price once they weren't needed.

Risk averse, but working well. Will try.

Do you know how important the player traits are on this FIFA?
Remember last year when flair was a must for most attacking players.

Anyone else noticed that if you get a ball played in behind, more specifically into the corner, the keeper will sprint out for it and you can’t stop it. Fecking Ter Steven has cost me two goals doing it.

Best bet for building squads is to do them per league rather than the best players possible?

Some really good tips there. I've completed pretty much all the SBCs now and I'm just sat on 90k with no real place to invest it. Considering constantly buying Sanchez as his price has been increased to 40k BIN and they are still selling out within seconds. Hopefully should get another maximum increase in the next week or so and could make 10k+ on each card

If you are looking for a suggestion beyond how to grind coins: Try Tanguy Ndombele and Thomas Partey. They are incredible in-game, and fairly cheap.

Just packed 2 x84 players in that champions League / auba SBC.

Pack luck has been decent so far with the SBCs I've done. Had a few that have gone for 20-30k. Built myself up around 100k coins to build a team with and haven't had to feck about with trading.

Not bad seeing as I don't even have the game yet :wenger:

What the feck man? This seems impossible, their defending is unreal constantly, they're blocking every possible pass, closing down constantly, and pressing constantly... If you do manage to get past their defense their keeper is unreal ffs. I don't understand wtf I am supposed to do?

On what?

It takes quite a lot of getting used to. I've probably put more than 30 hours in already and only just getting to grips with it.

With the effectiveness of hitting early crosses on this game, Trippier and Mendy are useful.
Good luck with saving enough coin for Pogba!

I'm a 1/3rd of the way there. Given the weekly rewards and the fact I've qualified for weekend league I should be able to get him in a couple of weeks.

It has changed massively hasn't it? Quit 18 about December time too.

Seems absolutely like a different game.

Done that divison rivals and got smashed, I had a bronze team and played somebody with all gold's IFS and purple players FFS

Im going down to the local Walmart in a few and wondering if I should get this. I play more career mode than anything else.

What is it with bicycle kicks in this game? Just because there were two high profile bicycle kicks in the last few months doesn’t mean every pass and shot needs to be one in your game, EA.

I haven't played since Fifa 12 or 13. I got a copy free today with my Xbox I bought from Argos, pretty good bundle two controllers plus live for three months and game pass for three months. Saw some lads playing on Fifa 18 when I was in the barbers and fancied getting back into it. I've been more of a Football Manager gamer but it takes so damn long to set up I've decided to call it a day with that.

To those struggling with running away from a defender with a fast player, keep tapping the sprint button R2/RT as it causes you to take quicker sprints - just found this out. Makes a noticeable difference.

I scored a bikey with Fellaini and have had Lukaku attempt two. Only played about 10 games.

Nice one, this works well when you've got the hang of it
