Gaming FIFA 19

Was beating the AI on legendary for fun Tuesday to Friday. Last two days have been a fecking slog fest. Could hardly get shots on goal.

Looks like I’ll only just make elite 1 by like 500 points which is annoying.

Looking forward to improving the team with the packs hopefully.

I think I've glitched the game out somehow;

Pre ordered weeks ago on the Xbox store, it came up 2 days into early access that it had failed to take payment and wouldn't let me play.

I realised that I had pre-ordered using my old card which I had lost and cancelled.

Paid for the game on my new card and everything worked as normal.

Now the good thing is, when I bought the game a second time the only thing to come up as being downloaded was the 40 premium jumbo packs you get with it, and now I seem to be getting 3 packs every couple of days randomly.

I've just packed Bale in one this morning that I certainly didn't buy.

I also packed Rashford in one on Friday that I also didn't buy.
 
After playing 20 games the flaws on this game are really starting to piss me off.

Overheads kicks flying in way too often.

Players shooting with their side foot for no reason.

Perfectly positioned defenders not intercepting the ball when it rolls right past them.

Ball constantly bouncing back to the opposition when it is tackled.

'Air balls' switching not switching when the ball is passed in the air, and switching when the ball is on the floor.

Amongst other issues. The more I notice these the less fun the game is to play.
 
Agree about overhead kicks, they're flying in all of the time from any half decent player. They're supposed to feel like unique goals.
 
Played some games over the weekend.. All seasons (No FUT as I have on players). See what people mean about pace off the ball. I have won 6 out of 6 but I find it hard to break people down who just grab their CM and let the AI do the rest. My finishing is pretty shite, but then again I don't know if I have timed finishing on or off so have been just sticking to normal finesse/power shots.

I have the champions edition but have no packs from it? when should I get my packs?
 
Of course I've gone and bought it because I can never keep my word when it comes to FIFA. I even went and bought the more expensive early edition but sold the code for additional content for a good price so it came uot exactly the same.

It's better than 18, I've played 13 online games so far and the game is noticeably slower which actually allows me to build up some attacks instead of going gung ho all the time. It's far from perfect and I have no doubt that they are going to dumb it down soon but maybe this year I'll get 100-150 games out of it in the online mode which will be better than previous two years.

If I can make it to January still enjoying the game then it'll have been worth it. Think last year's was the quickest I've stopped playing one.

Draft rewards decent? Need to do something to get a team. Currently have Champions league Stones, McArthur and Wilshere that's about it lol..
 
I haven’t seen a single bicycle kick. Feel like I’m missing out.

I’ve enjoyed it so far with the only minor annoyance being in Squad Battles in Legendary, conceding an indecent number of outside the box shots.

Special Cancelo dropped in my packs this morning and has funded most of my squad.

What packs did you get? Still haven't received a pack from Champions edition :(

You don't want to see the overheads, I have my centre backs going for them to clear the ball and setting people up for tap ins

I’ve got the standard edition do I get weekly jumbo packs but Cancelo dropped in my Squad Battles rewards. I also got Werner and IF Nakajima who bought in 30k between them. I have in Untradeable IF Ibisevic. Don’t think I got that many specials all up in FIFA 18.
 
I assume the timed shooting was brought in to put some skill into the shooting, what with it having a fair amount of randomness otherwise other than choice of shot. When turned off it seems more random than ever though. Maybe I'm just not used to the game yet, but even the power seems random. Shots trickling off the foot or smacking the bar from close range.

Do the hybrid leagues, hybrid nations and hybrid leagues/nations SBC asap. You’re pretty much guaranteed to profit a lot from doing those three. They’ll cost a bit, but they’re definitely worth it.

I have about 3k and a bunch of untradeables rated like 77 or less from my packs for playing fifa last year. I usually play some drafts to get me going but don't remember being this stuck to begin with lol

Draft is an easy way of losing coins (if you pay with coins to enter). Grind division rivals. You’ll be nicely rewarded on thursday

I cant grind though :( I have managed to play 6 games since Thursday and that's on normal seasons as I don't have a team to even play Rivals :lol:

Oh, if I were you I’d probably spend a bit of money on packs just to get a decent starter-team.
 
Struggling to notice much difference. I've only played 2-player against people looking at the same TV.

Can't quite figure out this new shooting feature, double tap or something? I should probably head to YouTube.

Tried this and got no luck really. Constantly getting caught up by defenders. I feel like I have to stop and turn around before they reach me because they'll always barge me off the ball with ease. No idea what I'm doing wrong.

I think my record online is 9 - 4 - 3 so I'm not doing terrible but I could've lost some of those draws. Everything delayed by half a second online though and it makes for some dumb shit during games.

Had this problem last year too so decided to buy a 4k monitor and i am reaping the rewards so far. Feels like i am ahead of the opposition with my reactions/passing etc.

I'd recommend getting a 1ms Monitor.

If you’re playing FIFA via a modern widescreen TV then you’ll most likely have input delay when playing online.

If you google your TV you should be able to find the specs online and see how bad the input lag is

Go in the catalogue and buy all the 1000 coins per game boosts and just play some squad battles if you dont want to play online, will get you a good amount of coins. Once you're at 20-30k you can start grinding all the advanced sbc's and you should be good once you sell what you get and so on and by the end you can easily have 100k.

Sounds like effort but i know it has to be done this time. I have landed on my feet in previous editions and ended up with millions after fut champs weekends. I will go for a 50k team and just play rivals when i get a chance!

Finished a game 2-0 today with 32 shots, 12 on target...

:lol: I don't know how many games there are but you're just using the ea coins that you accumulate over years of playing so it's basically free coins for FUT. Grind them out, should get you plenty plus if you do it in one mode (squad battles) you'll get good rewards at the end of the week on top of that, and then the advanced sbc's are easy money that you really have to do.
 
Every year there’s a player I just can’t play against. This year it’s Mario Balotelli.
 
Any way of changing the commentators for European games back to Tyler and Smith? This Derek Rae chap is so bad I can’t listen to it any longer.
