The problem at the start is you have no league SBC's, its the league SBC's that pay out big. BPM alone is great early game, but league SBC's make BPM worth it now.
Along with making 500k+ profit from a cycle you get

90 rated Casemiro,
88 rated Skriniar,
2 87 rated players
5 86 rated players
2 85 rated players
7 84 rated players

Thats well over 350k worth of players (for Icon SBC's or whatever) plus the 500k+ profit. Its honestly no lose if you can invest the time but it demands serious time.

3 for corners and free kicks

ST: stay central, get in behind
LCAM/RCAM: get into the box for crosses(forces them to enter the box at times - low width makes them come inwards more)
CDMs: cover center, stay back
LB/RB: balanced and overlap for run type

I'd wait it out a bit if you can for the OTW to drop a bit more in price. OTW looks great value at the moment, but I expect he drops more once TOTS gets announced and the panic sell begins to fund coins for TOTS Ronaldo.

NIF CR7 is a giant turd IMO at this point in the game. He can't dribble at all(worst his NIF has ever been in this regard). He's literally the Real Madrid version in FIFA. Can only score.

He was driving me nuts the past 3 weekend leagues. He feels like a bronze compared to TOTY Neymar and TOTY Mbappe.

Interesting with the full backs. I know you are a pro player, but do you not feel exposed with the full backs (when playing better players) or do you only use this for weekend league?

I've used it vs other pros as well in rivals/weekend league.

I like the fullbacks pushing up. Makes it easier to transition to the final 3rd for me.

Now if I was playing a tournament, I'd probably go with more defensive tactics overall.

I would be a fan of full backs overlapping but I feel on this game especially people playing 4231 with CAMs stay high it kills me.

I have NIF Ronaldo and agree with you about his finishing, im happy with that though. If I could afford the elite players I would change him but hes the best I can do at the minute. Players like TOTY Neymar etc feel so good and responsive when I have used them in draft
 
Back in division 1 for the first time since that Colombia objective. Got Seedorf and Nedved feeding Gary Lineker and it’s working wonders.

Wish this advice had come earlier, bought him the other day and he has been terrible bar finishing moves off. Considering selling him and add prime moments best instead

I don’t get it. I mean, you can’t expect a player that’s 6ft2 with 70 balance to have movement like small TOTY attackers. Playing him on Engine helps a lot, and I think he’s one of the better tall dribblers in the game (better than Zlatan). If you’re using him right (don’t use him a lot in build-up, always aim corners at him and make sure to cross when he’s in a good position because I swear he has 150 jumping) then he is apart from his other versions undoubtedly the best <2M card in the game. I guess he’s not for everyone though.

I guess it's not playing any normal mode so not having used him much this year, in previous versions he's still been really nimble, plus I don't use him at ST due to other players suiting it better. At LAM he's not got the pace to burst through the defence any more.

Im with Macern, I am happy with him. He plays ST for me and buries everything. I think hes wasted at LAM unless you are crossing from the right to the back post a lot

Yeah that's why he's at LAM, Di Maria tornado crosses to the far post are lethal with him against a small full back. If Jukes tactics still don't feel too good I might just go 4222 in game and play him up top alongside Crespo

If I had a star studded team I would have no issues with him LAM but he is definitely better ST for finishing moves off

I’ve also got Crespo, FB Zlatan and CR7. I’m playing Crespo on the left with LB Maldini behind him so I’m avoiding playing on the left. Crespo is doing well there playing as an inside forward only recieving the ball close to goal.

I've tried Crespo in different places, but love him as the striker. Just bought 90 Mbappe so going to look at rejigging things and where I can fit everyone to make the best side.

720k, reckon he'll drop lower when TOTS drops, but I'm pretty happy with my side now so can't see me upgrading much
 
Yeah im hoping he drops. I have a few spot to fill still so hoping to be be content with a team in the next week or so. Then TOTS hits and ill wanna change :lol:

Yeah putting him on RW and having Ronaldo on the far post is like a cheat code. Makes it even worse when I bring Zlatan on late game and just spam crosses to them both

He basically is useless apart from finishing moves off. He's got over a goal a game for me at the moment, whereas Mbappe is on less than 0.5 per game, but I enjoy using him so much more.

I have seen a few things photshopped on twitter, 94 Neymar, UCL Son, Headliner Rashford. I didn't go with the baby icon in the end last time as I was completing Vieira but I would 100% do the mid icon
 
When’s the best time to buy a team?

I’m on 3.8 million coins with a team worth about 900k so I’d have about 4.7m to spend plus Desailly and Rijkaard. Last year the price of players rose after TOTS came out so I’m thinking of buying a team just before.

Prices are falling on players at the minute. 94 Ronaldo was 1.5 mil not so long ago on Xbox, can pick him up for 900k or so now. Wouldn't buy someone like Mbappe as he is nailed on to get POTY for Ligue 1. People say buy players on Monday-Tuesdays but Thursday are great if you have patience and do bid only. People list a lot o Thursdays due to rewards and I buy a lot on Thursdays to sell later on at a higher price
 
I kinda really want to do the Barzagli SBC, but all I keep reading are comments about how bad his stamina is, but for a low/high work rate CB 64 shouldnt be the worst.

Alternatively I save up a bit longer and get Prime Nesta to go next to Prime Cannavaro

Brought in Birthday Sane and CB Matthaus. Now looks like this in game....

Feels much better having Blanc in defence instead of Rijkaard, who although does everything right, just feels slow and weak, despite hardly ever getting beat.

Ronaldo just wasn't fun to play with. I'm past the point of hoping for elite 1/2 so just going to have some fun with the game now
 
@P-Nut I still can't get past 14/15 wins in the weekend league though :confused:. Hoping that'll change this weekend with my current team.
 
Have enough coins to get OTW Ronaldo and Moments Cruyff.

Will get both for this weekend. Really want Prime R9, but will need to wait a bit.

Hopefully OTW Ronaldo can actually dribble.
 
Decided against Barzagli, and spent 40k on 86 Izzo instead. With an anchor he has very sinlmilar stats to prime Cannavaro who has been a rock in defence for me.

Will try him this weekend, but if all goes well I'll be selling off TOTGS Koulibaly who has over 700 games for me, which will add around 90k in coins towards the TOTS kitty.

Hoping after the next couple of weeks to be sitting on around 500k going into TOTS. Apart from CB and perhaps GK theres not really much I want to change now.

Strange, I make gold 1 every week. Dream of elite 3 which I made a few times last year, but not a single time this year, despite my side being so much better

In fifa 18 you only needed 29/40 wins to reach elite 3 (72.5% wins), in fifa 19 you need 23 wins out of 30 which is a win rate of 76.6%. That’s probably why. Also keep in mind that everyone’s teams are way better this year due to EA flooding the market with great cards every week.

Yeah most likely, made it to 21 with a game to go the other day so that would likely have been an elite finish in 18
 
need 2 attacking players from the same team, or same league same nation. Can spend 1mil if needs be. Any help lads?

I have Ronaldo and Willian, so the other 2 can play either LAM/RAM or CAM doesn't matter as long as they can play there very well.

I don't want to spend coins on Mbappe considering his price will probably plummet hard when he gets either of POTY or YPOTY
