Current team. Seedorf is shite at CAM so want Nedved back there which means ideally I need a CAM that can play on the left. I’m very tempted to forego the base icon and get Douglas Costa.
I've had 2 different prem teams and just can't seem to get along with them, had Eriksen pogba fernandinho as midfield 3 in last team and didn't feel right
As @Carlsen19 has said. The last 2 FUTswap items should be available. An SBC released yesterday for McFadzean and finish Silver 3(I think) or above in squad battles. Reward for that will be given on Sunday

Nothing but regret - Seedorf is shocking.
Really? How? I had his base card a while ago which I enjoyed. I think he’s best as a CM with permission to bomb forward. Very important to use a chem style that boosts his defending with 3 ^
I think it's cause of his M/M work rates, he just seems to go missing and never seems to be where I want him. Quite strange considering his base and mid icons both have better work rates.
I don't really play a formation with a CM but I'll give 4-3-3 or 4-4-1-1 a go and stick a shadow on him and see how I get on cheers.

Each loss was decided by the fact that the oppo was filled with TOTY and/or Icons. Skill gap doesn't matter. The top cards will always get the drop of the ball, or your players to stretch at silly moments just to give the higher rated cards better opportunities. Or you're through on goal and their 93+ CB will barge you from behind constantly, with no penalties.
Mediocre players are rewarded too much in this game. Get rid of AI tackling. Like in FIFA 17 when it launched. The AI only tracked runs, it never attempted to tackle you.

I gave away a penalty from a corner and the keeper collected it easily but my defender who was in front of the keeper fouled the player behind the keeper,

The only reason Courtois gave the penalty away was because Zlatan is rated 92. If that's a lower rated player he picks the ball up, instead, the animation still plays out but Zlatan runs into my keeper and gets the pen?
It's just a terribly coded game. But it makes bank so who gives a shit.

5-0 so far in WL and haven’t conceded a single goal so far, has to be a new record. It’s because of base Maldini. Fantastic card! Had him twice now, he’s unreal. My defense is Handanovic, FS Militao, UCL Moments Manolas, Mid Campbell and Base Maldini. Four center backs really. I don’t understand why people don’t use players like Maldini and FS Militao as full backs more often. I’d recommend players like that for anyone who is playing with fullbacks on stay back while attacking. I think the med/high workrates really help.
Edit: Now 6 games without conceding. Only one of the games have been rage quits. It’s not like I’m parking the bus or anything either, I’m actually playing on 7 depth. I think it’s a combination of luck, a new defensive style where I’m trying to overload the middle and open up out wide to try and tempt the opponent to play out wide and cross, and the fact that my defense with 4 center backs is working really well.

Typical, I didn't play yesterday after Friday was so bad gameplay wise. Going to save my games until Monday now in the hope of a decent baby icon and a better connection.
Anyone know if VVD going to get a special card sbc for his player of the year win? I’ve just gone on a spending spree to try prepare for it anyway. He may just get released into packs and not an sbc but the risk is minimal anyway.

I've just bought a load of Groningen players as they are likely to be the ones no one has. Bought a few Celtic as well
Gonna get TOTY Ramos and Edwin. Currently grinding the trade game so should be liquid enough in not so long. Hopefully POTY/YPOTY shifts some cards.
Yeah the good thing is even if a segment requires just one or 2 players from ex teams I have full teams built I'll surely make coins as every player will rise from those particular teams.
Yeah that's why I've just bought random players, if it requires full teams I probably won't do it myself, but will make big profit. If it requires just 1 or 2 I'll make decent profit and likely do the sbc
Have gone from 11-1 to 11-6. So strange how that happens. I've played those 5 losses in 3 spells as I tend to stop when I lose a game.

I struggle with it myself, only thing to do is not press tackle and just jockey with them.
After this, I realised I was losing way too many headers in midfield. So I replaced Kante with the SBC version of Doucoure, and have won the following 4 games. Sometimes I forget how important it is to have tall midfielders.
Petit and Blanc transformed my midfield completely
Don’t charge aggressively. It’s very easy for someone who is skilled at la croquetas to dodge tackles when they see them coming. Another good tip is AI defending. Let the AI contain the opponent with the ball by holding R1/RB instead of trying to win the ball manually.
14-0 so far. Servers are shit, gameplay is slow, but seems like it goes for my opponents as well. I’m currently in Spain so that’s probably why.
Edit: 17-1. It’s so weird. I feel like I’m playing really bad, but it’s due to the servers. It’s a seriously stripped down version of FIFA here in Spain where you don’t have the responsiveness to do skill moves and quick combinations at all. La croqueta can be pulled off at times, but other than that it’s about passing it around and playing a bit ugly to be honest.
