Any advice on how to win the ball back from someone time wasting? Went 2-1 down after about 30 mins and he just passed it around for the rest of the game, I just could not get the ball back at all.

In form versions of cards? Or get Messi in for griezmann or dembele, either play messi 7 chem or dembele 7 chem as a striker. Definitely go for special cards though. I get bored of making times without them.

Yeah I've probably sank 3000 quid into it since its inception ten 10 years ago. Stupid like. Only got Messi once and I got Icon Rui Costa this year but thats it. Well like in the first UT you got good player in packs all the time but it didn't matter cause the player performance cards were permanent. Everyone was running round with 99 rated players pretty soon afterwards.

I don't spend money on Fifa personally but I don't think there is anything wrong with it tbh, in comparison £3k may be a lot but to be honest, at best its 20 nights on the beer which gets pissed against a wall.
While I have issue with only using Fifa points for packs (EA greed, also I find them overpriced for what you get) you should imho be able to use them to buy players, just like coins.
There are much worse things a person could spend a couple of hundred quid a year on imho.
Aye to be honest I’d rather have 20 nights out considering my luck with packs isn’t that great. I mean it’s not the worst but it isn’t amazing. I don’t know how some players have teams worth millions of coins. The money the have to put in or the hours grafting a profit in the market.
They should take that 5% profit thing away. Just let players make as much coins as possible. It will only inflate the market anyway but at least there will be kind of an illusion that you have more coins.

@Macern stuck my aggression and pressure up and the difference is unbelievable, suddenly all my tackles are timed well and the counters from winning the ball back so sharply are dynamite.
Feels much more natural for my way of playing and Bakayoko et al are dominant.

Hot damn, 3 for 3 in my initial matches in WL. Adding Pogba and 90-rated Nesta to the mix has definitely helped my team out
What are the numbers for the aggression an pressure again?
The price for such a little increase isnt worth it in regards to the IF versions.

Sitting off was what hurt me against decent players. Too much time and space to exploit me. High aggression seems to be a game changer.
65-70 pressure and 85 aggression.
I like my defenders right on top of the oppo. Helps against the ping pong passing meta in PvP.

My attack right now is Martial-dembele-Messi. Love using him, especially his finesse shots into the far corner when cutting in on his left, easily the best in the game at that.

So they're releasing 3 players per day for Futmas until the 24th, based on shirt numbers. Today is 30, 29 and 28 (Michail antonio, gnabry and azpilicueta). Hoping for one or two of Rashford, martial, Lingard, Ibra or Bailly for 19, 11, 10, 3. Or Rojo for 5. Any United player basically

I'm sorry to hear that, fella. I can partially relate. Was chuffed to start off with 4 straight wins, then had a bumps, and now I'm back to my average just over 0.5 win ratio.
At least you've got London to take your mind off things
Begovic could be possible, since he wears 27 and PL is popular choice for EA. Pjanic wouldnt be worth it. His IF card would be much cheaper than his Futmas one. He would get 86 rating and the requirements would be more costly than getting his iF. I think he cost 100k a few days ago, now he is obviously scarce, since people bought him for future Futmas SBCs

Dominated the first two games; hitting the post four times with the other 14 shots either saved or gone just wide in the first game (lost 2-1), then two practically 90th min goals has me going in to extra time where I'm reading all the opponent's play but my players feel like they're running in mud and feels impossible to effectively press. Lost 3-2 in extra time.
Next game against a team with your legends CR7s and griezmanns but smash the fecker 8-2. All players feel crisp, my pressing matches my anticipation, almost every shot is flying in.
Won the next game, lost to the dude after that who was legitly a better player, but the subsequent 2 revert back to the patterns of my first two games.

Happens all the time. No matter how well I start, or how poorly, or how easy/shit my opponents feel, my range is always 19-23 wins. Tbf I don't play it every week but in all of 17 and this year, I've always gotten between those and pretty much always good 2 whenever I play the full weekend.
I remember by the end of 17 I'd be giving away wins in my first 3 games so I could have an easy run in my next 7 or so, then rince and repeat.
11 won in 19 played. Two of those losses were games where I conceded right from the off, lost connection, and was awarded the loss... *grumble*
Anybody else have that happen? Last one was against a team stacked with Icons too.
