Gaming FIFA 17


Meh. Great stats for a center back of course but how the feck do I fit him in to my teams :lol: Have all the draft prizes apart from Rudy since I wasn't playing that week, then other untradables like Pogba, Alli, Perrin, Keane, and then Martial who I'm not willing to sell ever (even though he's been a bit shit lately).

Might sell everyone and anything I have in my club and then do a bunch of those sbc's to try and get some tots players. Maybe when the serie A one comes out.
 
Update broke my game on the PC.

Career mode saves are all corrupt and online modes just close the game when I click em.

I run 2 teams and I've managed to fit them all in pretty nicely so far, figured out a way to get this one in too though. Just can't use my untradable handanovic as he doesn't link to either Marquinhos or Nacho. Mind you, Marquinhos will only be on 8 chem but that's how it is now anyway (would much rather alex sandro then a psg left back).

Hopefully the Calcio A reward is someone like pjanic though as that would complete it nicely.
 
Think I'll start all over again, preferred playing with the likes of Kante, Martial, Coman, Dembele vs decent defenders than with Lemar TIF, Boudebouz TOTS, di Maria MOTM vs the likes of TOTS Alonso, Azpiliqueta TOTS, TOTS Keane, TOTS Verthongen, Luiz IF's etc, it isnt fun. You outplay someone, and all they do is sprinting back holding the circle button, and it works every single time.
 
Russian and Argentinian league tots out today, love the lower league tots theres some real beasts that go under the radar. I was saving ~160k for Carvajal, and have seen Mario Fernandes from the Russian league goes for 50k with very similar stats
 
Just seen Lucas Perez tweeting he got banned for apparently buying coins. So it makes a mockery of their banning system.

They unbanned him after 45 minutes.
 
That Serie A tots :drool: Hopefully Dzeko is only like 100k. Wonder who the 24th player is for it, no real standout omission (and Pjanic/perisic would be too good to put in as a free player).
 
Lads anyone sorting their weekend teams for next week? Requirements say max 8 gold players in squad. Do legends and special cards count as gold cards in that case?
 
Having an enjoyable Career Mode atm! Started with Bray Wanderers in the Irish league and won that, invested in the youth setup and signed two players projected to reach the high 80's which is cool for a 1 star team. After one season I went to FK Molde and won the league and cup there while also signing a good few youth prospects. Have now joined Newcastle in my third season. They're in the Championship, I'll probably stick with these now and build a world class team.

Do you play your games or just simulate everything?
 
Was number 1 of the PS4 world for a moment, then it all backfired and had to face such ridiculous teams that the guys who beat me sent me messages saying sorry for the matchup. Still got elite 2 in the end, and will do the Callejon challenge to strenghten my team. Meaning I will get at least 4 new TOTS Calcio A players for my Calcio A team, sweet.

Saw you on the leaderboards on friday when you were 6th in the world, with something like 14-1 record and was rooting for you big time. Elite 2 is not bad at all in this current WL where tots cards are available and everyone plays the sweatiest they can. I had someone go 3-2 up in the 70th minute, then sit in the corner for the rest of the game. I messaged him after and he was on his last game only for g2, so not even anything where you can get a decent reward at this stage

Ahaha thanks! It was a funny "achievement" which was only becaude I played most matches on friday. I have mixed feelingd about the TOTS cards. It's nice to have the cheap ones like Cyprien, Boudebouz, Torreira yourself but it isnt nice to face the likes of Alonso, Azpi, Keane, Walker, Kante etc, so overpowered. You can completely outplay someone just for the person to press the circle button rapidly the entire game to nullify almost all your attacks.

Still fairly happy with the elite 2, praying for one of Dybala, A Gomez, Mertens.

Cant even blame they holding in the corner, the margins can be so small. I sometimes do it in the 85th min when I play against skill dribblers and guys with fast wingers who driven pass it into the box. They can score goals which you can predict from the half line.
 
Just got TOTS Stindl for my Bundesliga team, and I have no idea where to play him. He'd literally fit any position bar keeper.
 
Considered booting this up earlier. But not playing the last few months means my team will be so crap compared to all the TOTS cards knocking about.
 
This game... always pulls me back in. Finished gold 3 last week due to time restrictions (was 18-11 on sunday when i decided to stop and go to bed). Had 2,000 coins on my account and a bunch of untradeable players only, so no chance to make anything for this weekend.

Rewards come out thursday, I open them with low expectations... rare players pack gives out TOTS Icardi, and a mega pack gives 89 Hazard, which gives me 440k to spend plus the 30k from the rewards. Built a solid but unspectacular team for this weekend from the belgian league (I wanted to try Dendoncker and Tielemans anyway), using TOTS Meite, Hernandez and the Swedish TOTS RB as my 3 silvers, sent the rest of the players to my club.

Then today see the TOTS guaranteed packs, 83 rated squad with 2 TOTS players for a tradeable one, throw together a team and add in Rudy and Fazio untradeable....

Pack Fabinho's TOTS card who will fit perfectly into my main team, and with all these tots packs now opening player prices are plummeting, so with the remaining 160k I have I can fill in some gaps (Pereira for RB being the main target now)
 
Struggled all weekend. Just hit 21 wins and have 1 game left to play. For the life of me could not work out what I was doing wrong, tweaked my custom tactics assuming that the silver players werent doing their jobs the same as my usual tots gold players in those positions but still struggled. Was 18-18 begging for this weekend to be over so i can use my real team again.

Then one of my opponemts paused, so i looked at my player instructions and saw they had all been reset because the current team was built using the concept squad bit. Quickly set the instructions to how I usually have them, suddenly theres no gaps in my defence, my players are making the runs they usually do and i've won 3 in a row without conceding, and feel like a massive twat
 
Played this for the first time in months other day, started a player career (my favourite game mode) at Utd and quickly remembered why I hated this game so much. Playing on legendary level even when just controlling the one player for some reason your teammates become like amateur level players. Oh and why the feck does Romero start ahead of DDG every game?

I completely forgot about the team selection issues. I think it's from the season when DDG was considering leaving and Romero started the first few games.

Shows how much they compare about the mode.

Frustrates the hell out of me, so much potential in this (and career mode) game mode but it's so buggy and they do nothing to address it each and every year because it doesn't make them money.
 
Any tips on getting back into this game.
I was quite good on 14 and 15, but 16 and 17 were just difficult for me (Although I didn't give them much time)

I just found playing online that everybody sat deep, yet their players seemed to be able to intercept all passes with ease.
Thinking of getting back into this ready for 18 as I really do enjoy playing the game when I can actually play well
 
First time playing the wl in months. Come bk to the silver restrictions. Actually going well.

10-2 with one disconnect. feck all coinage so have to play three/four games before buying fitness cards.

My team looks so out of place. Everyone with TOTS cards!
 
Is the tournament today for a random tots? If so I'm raging I got an 86 Schone :lol::lol:
 
EA are taking the piss with their TOTS players. I only got shite ones so far, Peralta and a Levante striker ffs
 
I got some 87 rated player from some shit league. Put him through the sbc and got an 86 in his place. Thanks EA.

Probably payback for the Fabinho they gave me the first time i did the sbc.

I've tried a few liga NOS players now, easily my favourite league so far and so cheap. Danilo Pereira, Pizzi and Andre Silva for a combined 140k is unreal, and if i can get 30k for Fernandes from the russian league (the rb from brazil) I'm going to get Semedo in his place. A 98 pace rb will deal with all those people using purple Son easily

Lemar TOTS is a beast. I played against him this weekend just gone, and my opponent wasnt getting anything through the middle or on the right. Sent it left side to Lemar, three low drivens from the edge of the box later and suddenly he's 3-0 up in 5 minutes. Best low drivens i have seen outside any ronaldo or messi card
 
through to WL, just about to give up and call it a night, went all attack in round 1 and should of been spanked 10-2 but my opponent couldn't hit a barn door, somehow went through on pens after 2-2.
2-1 in quarters in extra time, and 88th min winner in semi, probably the worst I've played them in the final turn it on and win 4-1.
FIFA can be so weird, anyway is the player you get meant to fit into your team? Like does the server know which player will have best chemistry?

Just because I have a full Brazil team and I got given 88 filipe CD who is a beast and will do nicely for the weekend. Very lucky if it is actually random

My gk full backs and wingers are my normal gold cards, I find it hard against special card full backs, even a good through ball sees them easily caught, hopefully have some time in the WL and make some money...get a good team then FIFA 18 comes out, standard
