Gaming FIFA 17

I have some kid begging me to give him a win since it's his last game and he's on 17 wins. Apparently he lost 7 in a row and matched against me in his last game... normally a gold 2 borderline gold 1 player in division 1. Seems likely.

Edit: Smashed him 4-1. Sending me his depressing messages now about how he doesn't have time to qualify for the WL next weekend so he needed gold to play next weekend and now won't get gold monthly because he won't be able to play next weekend. Don't think I've ever had somebody beg me to give them a win

Ohhhhh, FIFA has thought me to block messages from people not on your friends list. Makes it much more enjoyable.

I had that once in the daily tournament final before. Pleading to let them win to get into their first WL. Felt a little bad because his team did look a little shit and he probably did put a lot of effort to get to the final.

But he had Musa, so feck him.

This guy had MOTM Son and a bunch of others, he was fine. No pity from me :lol:
 
Was playing a guy in division 1 the other night, went 1-0 up and was doing fine but he got back into it and went 2-1 up. I managed to score a header with vardy about the 75th minute, started thinking yes game on.

All of a sudden he chips it back to his keeper and just walks it into the his own net... twice.

I messaged him afterwards like eh why did you do that?. He said he thought it was a weekend league game and once he realised decided to give me a free win as I was unlucky not to win.

Didn't know players like him existed :lol: I needed the win badly too.
 
Is it just me or has anyone else been suffering from big delays and disconnections at the menus? I went on late a couple of times over the weekend and it was unnameable. Trying to see the Transfer Market or using a consumable would give me a long wait and a FIFA connecting error.

I couldn't stay connected to the servers the last few days.

Meanwhile last night in the WL I conceded 2 quick goals around the 70th minute and the guy shushed, dabbed and then time wasted for the remainder of the game. Such is life in Fifa

I managed to get 18 wins for gold although it was a nightmare WL with disconnects and lag.

I had to win 3 out of my final 4 matches and 2 of those matches I got paired up against people with red cards, but 3 red cards in each team and good ones too. I played a guy that had a strong team with 3 red french cards, one was Martial. They were a good player and tricky to play against and they went 2 0 up after about 20 minutes, and as soon as they went 2 0 up they pressed pause. I'm assuming it was inviting me quit (its a new trend apparently) I don't think they were changing formation or anything because they only had it on pause for like 5 seconds. I turned the match around and made it 3 2 in the 88th min, I should have paused it haha but I was just happy I managed to win.
 
I'm going back to 41212(2). Park the bus worked really well defensively, but Aguero was always so isolated that it was hard to counter attack every time. 2 strikers up top should buy me some time, so I am selling Hazard to buy Sanchez again (who I sold to fund my Hazard purchase). Hazard is a solid player but nowhere near effective enough in the tactics I want to use xxx
 
So after my last shameful WL outting only getting 21 wins i decided to sell Petit to fund my way for Ronaldo.
Surprisingly i haven't been so impressed with his finishing. He gets plenty of chances due to his pace, strength but with one on ones he always hits the goal keeper. 94 Suarez and Bale easily out score him.

Anyone else used him? I have him as LF in a 4-3-2-1.
 
Anyone know anything about players coming back as regens?

I read that when a player retires they come back as a young player under a different name and look etc. It worked in finding Pirlo. I searched 16-19 year old italian midfelders in the MLS and got my man! And David Villa!

But Zlatan was playing for Bayern in mine. Before he retired there were no Swedish regens in Germany. After he retired there were 2. Both left footed midgits with 90+ for speed.

Am i to guess Zlatan didn't respawn? Or respawned as two players with different attributes to himself?

He used to destroy me every time I played him so I took a punt on him and he didn't disappoint. Played him as a ST and CAM and he's class in both. Amazing dribbler and reliable at finishing any chances he gets.

One of the two will definitely be Zlatans regen, your best bet of working out which one will be to scout them and figure out the better stats compared with their age. Unless of course one of them shows "great potential" "exciting prospect" "potential to be special" and the other one doesn't.

They don't tend to keep the same stats or characteristics as the original player but the regen is always the same nationality and position as the original player and will be found either in the league they retired in or the free agents.

Yeah great player. I use him in a midfield 3 and defensively although his stats say otherwise he bosses it. His standing tackle is very strong. For me his best attribute is carrying the ball from midfield to my top 3 strikers.
The only reason he does't make it as Stiker in my team is because i have SBC Suarez who's undroppable.

Same old same old. Servers hit and miss but a lot of MOTM cards being released in rewards. For me the WL has been very tough since everyone has fully stacked teams.

Cheers, I need a good team to finish elite next time in WL, I think an OP player can help me achieve it. It's a shame I started FUT last month, would like such a player. How did you get him?

Ah okay thanks!

I know which one then. Because one has "potential to be special" and has 96 speed!

The speed thing threw me off because I expected his regen to be more similar to him than that. I thought he'd be tall (he's 5"7) and strong (46 strength) so it's a bit of a shame he's as different as he is.

The Villa and Pirlo ones seem to have similar stats to their predecessors, but I suppose luck of the draw?

Yep, luck of the draw mate. On this years game I've seen Zlatan regens ranging from 5"7 to "6"3 and had a David Villa regen that was 6"4 I think.

Used to enjoy signing the Lampard, Gerrard and Drogba regens after the first season, shame they've retired for that alone. :lol:
 
Anyone use 4312? Figured it would be decent with if gray, vardy and zola up front. if kovacic gattuso and if tolisso in midfield.
But really struggling. Dont kniw if its because im not used to having no wingers and target man
 
Just wondering if any of you are experiecing this proble with FIFA 17 on the PS4, it relates to the Daily Tournaments only. I've copied and pasted this from a PS4 forum as it explains exactly my experience:

"Every time I enter a daily tournament knockout game I experience the speed up glitch where my screen freezes for 2 seconds, then goes very fast for 2 seconds to catch up with where my opponent is, and then freezes for 2 seconds again. This makes it virtually impossible to play because every time I get the ball I have already lost it before I can move because my opponent does not experience the glitch. Is there any way that I can fix this, because at the moment it is not possible for me to play in fut champs because the glitch makes it impossible to qualify?"

Anyone else experiencing this? Its complete BS, particularly given how important the weekend leagues are now. Reallyl fed up with it.

Get promoted from division 2 instead. Automatically qualifies you
 
Played for the first time in awhile today. Lost the first game 4-0, won the second game 6-1, third game I was down 4 goals in the first 30 minutes (two long shots, a deflection from a corner and one where you could drive a bus between my centrebacks and they stepped up despite being set to cover) came back to 4-3 but it was hopeless. Then won 2-0 despite my defenders running in honey and conceding 11 shots on target to my 4 shots all game.

The difference in how it feels each game is just so frustrating. I'm in Division 3 at the minute after getting demoted and I seem to be playing division 10 players one game and the next they are either really good and spank me fairly or it's like I've got crazy input lag and they either don't pass despite me mashing it or they are stepping up past the player I'm trying to defend against as I'm in the middle of switching to them.

This has been my formation for a while and think it's very good with the right custom tactics and players. I like that having 3 CMs closer together helps press the opposition and win the ball back quicker and higher up the pitch.

Apparently a pro player called Tass went something stupid like 160-0 in WL with this formation.

I have one or two high energy CM's (in the mould of Herrera, Nainggolan, Renato, etc.) and have the middle more defensive CM set to stay back while attacking, same with full-backs. CAM stays forward and ST's press back line and get in behind.
 
Never been able to complete a month fully to get Elite rewards for the month but need 53 wins from the next two weekends to achieve it. Was 14-5 in the first weekend and couldn't be bothered to finish games, would have been far easier if I completed that week. 26 and 27 wins isn't gonna be too straightforward
 
I packed Goretzka aswell but wanted him sold asap to get SIF Carrasco so I can move back to 433 (4). Bale and Carrasco on the wings with Griezmann up top should be unbelievable!
 
How's everyone getting on so far? Had some mega hard games just now. Currently 5-0. The level of teams in the WL are crazy good. I gusss most people have completed their teams so that's normal.
