Gaming FIFA 16

Yep, I'm really looking forward to Career Mode this year.

I'll probably begin with a Championship or League 1 side.

I know it's a minor, but I really hope that badges on the kit update accordingly when you get promoted/relegated.
Not at all. That could've probably been implemented back in the PS2 era and they still haven't done it.

One of my biggest annoyances with the game is the treatment of lower league teams in career mode. Even if you take Leyton Orient to the Premier League, they'll still have a budget of a £1 million and the same League 2 badges.

Finally some training for career mode, altough I hate these mini game training sessions. Just let me assign a long term schedule for my club and hire some coaching stuff, why is this so hard?

What also puts me off is I like the idea of turning a shite League Two team into conquerors of the world - but it doesn't feel right playing title winning games or champions league semi finals in a stadium of about 2000 people. Should be able to change it to one of the other generic ones once your budget allows it.

Agree with the badge thing.

From what I've read, the transfer budget of smaller teams will be adjusted accordingly when being promoted.

I've been sucked into the world of Ultimate team. It's so damn addictive. Only stated playing it around January and played about 2000 games. FUT draft sounds like a welcome feature.

The new crossing will be overpowered. Guaranteed.
That's my fear as well. I just hope that the developers have made it so that marking the opposing winger can make them unsettled and reduce the accuracy of the crosses.

Also, I feel like everyone will just play that fast pass regardless of what team they play with, and I fear the worst when we see the players play with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, or Borussia Dortmund as those teams have players who'll rarely, if ever, have a bad first touch.

No doubt the FUT nerds will moan and groan about these new gameplay features being abused when the game is released; which will lead to EA nerfing them thus offline players having to suffer as a result. Happens every year.

Same robotic players - junk. Marketing expertise will continue to be the only thing that separates this from PES, gameplay-wise.

Didn't it take about a week or so of UT in 15 for a completely game-changing patch to come out? It's actually insane.

First Gameplay video! Found this gem in the depths of twitter

Also another - this time with the new Bundesliga presentation.

Those forward drilled passes were supposed to be difficult to pull off, they're using them at every opportunity in that first video?! And I thought crossed was suppose to include a bit of skill now?
Visually, it looks way too similar to FIFA 15. Hopefully it's still under development as this is just the demo.

Beta starts today.

I got in the pro clubs beta, luckily my friend did too. Can't wait to try it and see if they actually made any changes to pro clubs this year.

Played like 800 games of Clubs but didn't get the beta :( Tell me about clubs also!

Literally no changes at all. To top it off I have to do the same accomplishments 6 years running.

Unless you count the change in colours of the menu.

Apart from the RB pass is there anything different? More wild slide tackles is all i can see

edit: and daley blind's flowing hair

Finally got the beta downloaded and its for the FUT mode, haven't played a game yet but from the menus that I have looked at I don't see much difference, change of colour is about all so far

Seems like Fifa is stagnating and PES is the one progressing, based on early feedback. Obviously a while till the games are released, but it seems like the exact opposite of what happened last gen.

I think that's a fair assessment after playing both beta and demo.

Furious that nothing has changed in pro clubs. Obviously it feels slower, but we have to wait and see when everyone has 88 pros. Crossing is overpowered again.

Pro clubs has been the same since it came out in FIFA 10. They should have got rid of accomplishments years ago. They should let you improve the non pros in your team.

I end up getting both. But for first time in ages might play PES for head to head and FIFA just for clubs.

I've got the seasons beta and everyone in the premier league is rated 85 to keep it even so I don't know.
Ah, I see.

I'll guess that they'll be...

Romero: 80

Darmian: 81
Valencia: 78
Smalling: 81
Rojo: 79
Jones: 77
Evans: 74
Shaw: 78

Carrick: 82
Herrera: 82
Fellaini: 81
Schneiderlin: 83
Schweinsteiger: 87
Mata: 85
Young: 82
Januzaj: 76
Depay: 81

Rooney: 85
Chicharito: 81
Wilson: 72

Player training in career more is a welcome update, but it will be rendered a bit irrelevant if they don't improve the way academy/regen players are. There seem to be 5 or 6 templates for stats which are rarely, if ever deviated from. So you won't ever find someone with really good long shots and average finishing, or great heading and also great crossing etc.
