Absolutely loving career mode and the training aspect. Got Pereira up to 71 through training and just got to January. I'm going to stop training Martial now he's at 81 and hopefully I can get Pereira close to 75 by the end of the season.
I signed Mane as a backup wide option and also close to signing Stones. I have never approached my squad like this before, and have to give credit for the extra incentive to not always spend big.
I will say however, that there can be so much more that can be done with career mode and it's a little irritating they don't go that extra mile. They could go further with training for example, in that you can have more slots, but you need to purchase coaches for each position in the same manner as you would for scouts. Perhaps they could also include player tutoring, so that your younger players can adopt stats and traits of the senior player. All of this would have an affect on match stamina of course, so that there is a setback. Essentially, get some of the Football Manager features in there, while adopting them to a pick up and play feel.
Then there's unrealistic transfers. City (trying to) sign Muller in January is infuriating (mainly because he was one of my summer targets), Sunderland bid £25m for Phil Jones, and I receive a bid for De Gea every day. Surely it wouldn't be hard to tighten up the realism a little? I just think as enjoyable as Career Mode is this year, they could do so much more with it and on the surface haven't actually put that much effort into it at all.
