only coins I have are the ones I got from discarding so many shite bronzes. Made my way up to about 450 now!
 
Sold pretty much all my gold players I was going to use in my team. Still have a bunch of players to sell, and no team to use but obviously thats of no concern right now. But I have 4,000 at the moment and I cant be bothered to look for bargains with it right now. Will have to wait till tomorrow

I presums that's the "special edition"? If it is then yes you get a bunch of extra gold packs. Not all in 1 go though. You get so many per week/month or summat.

Having said that, I've only see the "special edition" advertised. I'm begining to wonder if there's a "normal" edition.
 
Discarded basically any player I wouldn't need and bought Jovetic with the money.

So if you get a gold pack in game, then you get everything at once, but with this you get like one pack every week or something like that? How many players do you get with this gold pack?
 
Huh? A gold pack is a pack containing a number of gold items. There can be players, contracts, healing cards etc.

A gold pack costs coins. You earn coins by trading players and playing matches.

With the Special Edition you get given some gold packs every so often. So to answer your question, yes it's good. But only of you'll play UT.

Are you trying to click it on the screen where you first see it? If so you can't open it there, you need to click through into the game, go to Store (if it doesn't take you there automatically) then click "My Packs".
 
1000 coins gift today and Danny Simpson in my two FUT founder reward packs. Nothing much to shout about. Although Danny will probably make up part of my Young Premiership 11. So not all bad.
 
Any news on whether you can search for manual players?
 
Just got a 4-3-3 LF Villa in a starter pack!!! Have no idea what to do with it... would it best to sell now while there's hardly any on the market (only 1 for auction, going for 420k BIN) or to keep for a while? Never had something worth so much on UT :D
 
I'd keep hold of it until the game comes out, more people will have more coins and you'll get more for it.
 
I think a good idea is putting it up for a hefty amount (like the other one on the market you mentioned). You never know someone might offer to trade 1 or 2 cards you might for it. I'd say dont be afraid to sell, but make sure its a large amount that will give you a good start in the game when the full game is out
 
Well I cant see anyone having that money yet. But as I said, you might be offered a couple of players that come to a value of something like that
 
I didnt actually do it on purpose, aside from focusing on premier league players but in buying players that I thought I could make money from selling at a higher price, I've actually picked up

GK : Szcznesny
RB: Bosingwa
CB: Jagielka
CB: Vermaelen
LB: Baines

Which, if for some reason I dont shift them at the money I want before the game comes out, is a pretty good starting back five
 
By the way, anyone like me and had an xbox and a ps3 ultimate team last season? I just remembered the persona switch down the bottom and went to my xbox 360 team. And got my daily gift too. I guess I missed a few of those which is annoying

Anyway, point is I'm not too interested in my xbox 360 team so I'm interested in cross platform trading if anyone is able to do it.

For instance I got Wilshire in my starter pack, not too much else.

So I'd be willing to trade him in return for coins or another good player on ps3 ultimate team.
 
Why does cleverley seem so rare? I've only seen one on trade and he was up for 16k. He's only silver and 73 rating.

I'm waiting on the January update to get him. Will be a low gold then instead of a high silver and will have his price drop accordingly.

I can see Jack Wilshere isn't thought of very highly in the trading this year only going between 4-7k. Carrick is only going at 3k as well. Someone could have their central mid with good chem sorted for as little as 7K this year. Bargains to be had.
 
Thats only at the start when there isnt a game to be played on the pitch. A lot of people are looking to sell rather than build a team. After a month or two of the game being out I'm sure you'll see plenty of Wilshires in teams and the price being a lot higher
 
I'm trying to build a half decent Argie Serie A based side, obviously can't afford the likes of Zanetti, Cambiasso etc but i've got a decent little team going.

All i'm missing now is an Argentine right back and goalie. Got Crespo, Gago, Heinze, Santana, Moralez, Lopez and Silvestre from Serie A, then some other Argies from around the world.

Not sure if I agree. The market at the moment seems to be dictated by the hardcore who populate the UT forums and jump straight on the web app who really know the value of certain players their stock drops and falls as their reputations in real life seem to. The prices of certain players will only drop in my opinion not go the other way.

I remember Shaun Wright Philips going for about 9-11k quite regularly on FIFA 10. His stats and usefulness remain about the same (possibly more so this year) and you see him going for around 1-2K.

In related news. I acquired Matty James and Nicky Ajose today !

It depends entirely on how good the player is. Our example is the player we've already talked about, Wilshire. Right now he's going for up to 7k as you rightly mentioned, which isnt that huge. But at the end of the day he's rated 82 and many consider him the best young english player. He's going to be popular. The only reason his price isnt somewhere near double that 7k is because few people have that kind of money to spare and few people are actually assembling their teams right now when its a sellers market and they're going to be given more freebies as we get up to and including the actual release of the game.

The prices players have right now are not yet settled and more than likely will not be the lasting price over a longer period in Fifa 12. We will only see what players are really worth after a few months of Fifa 12 when people have money to spend and a team to build and play as.
 
Forgot I had a second account, signed in got all the packs and shit and the loyalty packs. Got Ramires and a load of shit, but after discards I had like 3k and Ramires who goes for around 3-4k. Transfer that over to my proper account fo' sho'
 
I played Fifa UT on fifa09 on my 360. Will i still get the free packs?

And just bought Wilshere for 5.6k. Think that was a decent price..

And yet people are still listing other top players at what you would expect their value to endure at. I am not saying it will definitely stay at that price but I don't see his value climbing that much. maybe to 8/9k but it won't be anything near 14k I don't think.

Because they dont really want to sell. They're quite happy to keep those players until people have the money to pay those prices, and once the game comes out I'm sure they'll use them in their teams. In the mean time if one of the few people who might have 20k coins comes in and buys your card, you can then go out and buy another couple of cards that will rise in price once the game comes out and people have money to spend.
 
Saw my first Rooney in the auction house. Guy wanted 8,000,000 so I offered him RVN. Never seen a trade declined so fast!

Don't normally bother with this but going to give it a try this year. I have a sergio caneles but no one wants him. Any idea what price I should put him at etc...
 
Another question from a newb.

What does it mean when a player has white info for rating and position. Normally they have a shaded colour to them but some have white.
 
I still don't get how this works. Why are you lot all talking about selling your best players? Is the money you get from them really that important? Shouldn't you keep them and play with them?
