Gaming Fifa 10

Guys, is there a solution for the disconnect glitch (getting stuck at team selection when playing online). Something with opening ports?
 
Does anyone know if allo these bugs people are going on about will be fixed with a patch at a later date?

To summarise;

-There is no virtual pro mode. At all.

-Manager mode is called "Battle for Glory", and is a bit crazy. Instead of money to spend in the transfer market you get "Transfer Points". Any player listed on the market costs 1 point, any player not listed on the market costs 10 points. You also need to have enough spare stars to buy the player, bringing me onto my next point. You gain stars by selling players, which also costs 1 transfer point (ie I sell a 15 star player, it costs me 1 point and i get 15 stars to spend).

-Players are rated with 1-20 "stars" spread across 4 stats. Speed, strength, and I cant remember the other two. A player can have a score of 1-5 in each catergory, the total making up their overall rating. This means that for the most part, players are almost identical because they have the same ratings in each catergory.

-Before each game in Battle For Glory you get some objectives to pick from. If you achieve the one you chose, you get some extra points to improve your team performance. For every 4 points you get, you can pick up to 2 "Game Boosters" (you dont see which ones you pick) - stuff like tackling boosts or uncommon/rare ones which can do shit like make your next transfer signing free, or the next player you sell sell for double. You can save the boosters for big games.


So then we get on to the actual gameplay
-The graphics are far worse, but thats to be expected from the Wii.

-For shooting, saving, free kicks, tackling, headers etc you just shake the Wii remote at the right time (on crosses and saving etc, you need to do it when the ball flashes green). Its a good idea, but far far far far too simplistic - there is virtually no control over the power and placement of the shot.

-There are almost no trick moves.

-Its just too easy.




That is a short list of the things i can think of off the top of my head. Truth is, its not a bad game, its just vastly inferior and different to the Fifa on the Xbox and PS3. They shouldve released it as a different game and not Fifa10 basically.

Na. i have a decent first touch, but its still sluggish as hell. The shooting, the passing, running. Everything is sluggish and i never feel totally in control of the ball, as i did in 09. I'm beginning to hate this game. i thought the more i played it, i would grow to like it. But im not.
 
I'm getting angrier and angrier playing this game.
 
It's just fecking shit. Everything about it is fecking shit. Playing CW1984 earlier. Leighton cnut Baines SHOVES (I mean actually barges to the ground) Dzeko. It doesn't even make sense.

You know I went to play Manager Mode with a mate, I came up against Everton just after I had played you. Yobo has to be the most disgustingly overrated player I've ever seen. He's so fast it's fecking unreal.
 
After 3-4 games in which I got really outclassed, I'm back to my winning ways online. 28-5 at the moment, which isn't that great, but once in a while I'm bound to meet someone who passes circles around me. I just met one such, but as often is with people who are great passers, he had a habit of doing it too complicated, and I beat him 3-2 after 3 scrappy (and simple) goals by me.

I'm still not thrilled with it though. Hopefully one of my mates will buy PES so i can give that a proper try.
 
I've had it with this game. The online is just a joke. First off, the game doesn't reward a passing game at all. It rewards counter attacks, which mean for the large part i can be all over an opposition, with him having 9 players back, and me trying to pick a decent ball or beat a player, which is impossible when all the defenders are impossible to get round as they just out muscle you forwards (unless you're Drogba) and the close control is so bad. On the flip side, one hoof from him and he's away. Fortunately 9 time out of 10 its impossible to finish 1 on 1's so im usually alright. The only time i ever lose is due to AI errors. It is litterally the only time i concede. 90th minute, 0-0 after being all over him and my keeper decides to dive over the ball. fecking Fantastic. I wouldn't totally mind if it was an occasional error. Next game, keeper comes to punch ball, misses. 5 mintues later, i pass the ball out to my closest defender, who in turn decides to take this opportunity, to run away from the ball. feck me. The AI is laughably bad.

The only good thing about this game, is that i think i should be able to sell it for more than what i paid for it (£25). I am so unbelievably disappointed.

I've only conceded online so far in about 10 games due to AI errors. Actually I lie, once my goalie passed it straight to their player from a goal kick because I was trying to skip through the gay replay.

EA SPORTS has told Eurogamer that a large number of the problems reported with FIFA 10 on the official forums have been addressed or will be addressed by a new patch, which should be out this week.

The game in general just makes me want to grate my own nut suck. Its so fecking infuriating. Im going back to 09, so i can play as Reading or Schalke again, and not have to worry that my keepers going to kick the ball into his own net.
 
fecking hell. I thought i'd give it one more try. So start my game, 5 or so minutes the guy gets a corner. He spends about 3 mintues shifting between corner takers until he settles on one. All of a sudden the box is flooded with roughly 8 of his players in a straight line. Ball comes in and they all charge at it. Obviously the AI controlled keeper doesn't do anything sensible so lets the ball come all the way to the back post, where drogba boots the ball in. I presume that must be one of the custom set pieces that i thought were supposedly disabled for online? Then the rest of the game just turns into another AI cotastrophy, with shots being blocked by my own players, players running into each other, defence stepping forward; you know, the usual. Passing this year has a sort of "well thats close enough" feel to it, with all pass's going roughly where you placed them and honestly next time im through one on one with the keeper im going to turn around and run back to the edge of the area; you have a better chance of scoring. The shooting is beyond illogical; its just fecking wrong!

I also played a game online, I won 1 - 0, hit the post twice and he was a good dribbler. Hope this helps.

Craig Gordon is fecking horrible and i'm never using the custom tactic i used in that match again.

The second game was much better and could have gone either way.
 
I don't have a specific team online but I'll usually match the opponents stars, sometimes lower, never higher than them. This time I was Everton and he was Chelsea. Everton are really fun to play with, I've recently discovered anyway. Just scored a great diving header with Saha.

Whenever some cnut chooses a super team (every fecking time) I'm usually City. Haven't so far played anyone better than me, or even as good as me. This game has an awful lot of glitches as well, the more you play the more appear.

Also just had a mental game, he was City, so I chose United. 2-2 after 90mins, I then score 2 in the 1st half of extra time and another in the 2nd half of extra time.

Still liking the game but some serious stuff needs to be addressed. Sometimes it almost seems impossible to score a goal. Even after multiple one on ones. I mean all you can do is press the damn button and a direction yet time after time the keeper makes an amazing save or the striker hits it wide despite it being a fairly soft placed shot. Raar.

Over celebrating is the best in situations like this.

I had one game vs chelsea, which i equalized in the dying seconds with fabregas ran him to the screen doing the 'shhh' celebration.

Another guy was real madrid, i was down 2-0 and got it back to 2-2 (first half) then he went up 3-2, then i drew up 3-3, then i went up 4-3 in the death and did the 'shhhh' celebration then pointed to the screen.
