Fellaini

He's a good player, some of the comments here are way of the mark, someone would have thought that Arsenal are signing Gibson.

I think he could theoretically work well with Walcott up top, but Arsene would never play that way. In fact, of all the teams in the league, I can't think of one he'd be less suited to.

He'd be a last resort for me, like an ugly bird at 2am.

Your post, Neviller, reminded me of something that took place almost 30 years ago while I was at a political convention in Dallas. I was sharing a room with a guy in a hotel and at about 2am I was sleeping and he brought in a female companion. They engaged in coitus. By my stopwatch, it lasted maybe 45 seconds, 60 seconds tops. She was pissed. Real pissed. Mean and nasty Texas pissed. "You asshole, you didn't let me come!" pissed.

Not having any idea whether i was human or some other species, she walked over to my bed and asked "What about you?". Strange things happen at 2am.

Fellaini wouldn't be a bad option at all off the bench, but I'm willing to see if Fletcherinho has got something left in the tank. I'm glad we took a pass on microphone head.

You're an old man?

I thought you were a child from the way you post.

:lol::lol: wtf

"And then, Fruity Kate entered the room..."

I must say, I do feel that some of you are slightly underrating Fellaini.

Most probably because we are linked to the likes of Thiago, who of course seems to be the flair pick and from what I've seen, looks like he has the makings of a world class player.

With that said, I don't see why we can't get both really. They are very different types of players and Fellaini could work very well for us I feel. He is such a pain in the ass to play against, just watch his games against us.

He's a dirty spoiling cnut who can do a job for a mid-table club. He's no good to a top team since he can't pass the fecking ball.

Judging Fellaini is not an easy task. On the one hand there's no question he's a proven force in the English prem. But we do have the chance, it seems, of bringing in a very special player -- Thiago Alcantara. We really have no choice but to dig deep and see if we can actually land Thiago. But if we had to settle for Fellaini, I think most caftards would be okay with that. Disappointed that we missed out in the past on talents like Ronaldinho, Modric, Sneijder (when he was worth having), Lucas Moura and now -- hopefully not! -- Thiago Alcantara, but if we're consigned to accepting Fellaini then we'll make the best of the situation. But hopefully we would all agree Fellaini is short of that class of midfielder who would elevate us into a can't miss quarterfinalist in the CL.

This bump is giving you the shits, isn't it?

Not online yet, but the Guardian claim we want both Fabregas and the hairy one.

To be honest, I don't think many would be too unhappy with the signing of Fellaini should it be alongside another midfielder of quality. He does offer something we don't have.
Now, if he was our primary midfield signing, or even worse our only one, I'd be sick.

It's this summer's Charlie Adam thread...

I agree with this. Fine with the Fellaini signing, as long as there's a Fab, Vidal or Modric along with him....

Absolutely. Primary would be worrying - wouldn't be fussed alongside a better player.

He'd fit in well if we signed him. Without being direspectful to Everton, he strikes me as the sort of character who would go if a bigger club came in for him.

A midfield of Fabregas, Carrick and Fellaini sounds pretty good to me.

I've wanted him for a good while. He certainly would add to the squad.

But it's a transfer that will not please too many supporters.

I'd be pleased with him. People are underrating him for some bizarre reason. He's approaching his prime years and would offer us something completely different to our current midfielders and provide some much needed physicality in the midfield and would be a good squad addition. I doubt he'd be an absolute first choice pick for the big matches, but he'd be great to have in the squad. Moyes also knows him better than anyone.

You're not getting Cesc and didn't sign Alcantara because Moyes was worried about him on a wet Wednesday night in Stoke. Fellaini can try and get himself sent off there again.

Physicality is quite far down the pecking order in abilities needed for a top class CM. being strong isn't much use if you're not a very good passer of the ball.

It's not really. Fellaini is actually a good player, whereas Adam is and always was absolute poison and a horrible little cnut. Plenty on here rated Adam back then, they were weird times.
