Somewhat ironically, this will be disproved when your Arse end up signing the elbow.

I thought the entire midfield was poor in possession, I wouldn't say Witsel was much better. That was my impression at least, I was watching in an extremely crowded hangar (Cristiano_RAFC: Park Spoor Noord ) and it's not always easy to see who's who between Fellaini and Witsel. Serbia did surprisingly well to close them down. Anyway, delighted he scored what turned out to be the winner. That header was almost to easy, no one could get anywhere near challenging him.
Agreed about the midfield being poor in possession yesterday. Witsel was a little better than Fellaini, but it was only after Dembele was on the pitch that the ball retention improved for a while. After De Bruyne was replaced and we had both Benteke and Lukaku together on the pitch, it got worse again it seemed. Of course they also scored not much later which didn't help either, and it was just hanging in there until the final whistle from then on.
Fellaini's goal was classic Fellaini. He's always going to be a threat in the air and it's a great weapon to have.
I didn't know they were showing the game anywhere in public in Antwerp?! I heard on the news they would not be showing it on the Grote Markt out of fear for trouble. Nice venue though.. Park Spoor Noord.
Is it a smokescreen for the Higuain (or somebody else) signing, you think?
This strikes me as a massive ruse. He's not a Wenger player and I really don't think there's genuine interest.

A hairscreen more like.
Arse are usually not so fickle when they buy players for considerable sum. I call bullshit.I feel that those claiming he's not very good are wide of the mark, but I really don't believe he's a £23m player.

Please let this microphone headed feck go to Arsenal.
Everton is his level...simple as that.
Isn't that pretty much Arsenals level these days though?

He'll not do that at Arsenal.Regardless of which top club he goes to this summer, I think he'll prove most of this forum very wrong. Top quality defensive midfielder, the kind of player who will contribute massively to winning a league campaign imo.

I don't think he's as bad as people make out, would give them a presence and inject some personality into their midfield. Tell you what though, if Wenger gets in Rooney, Higuain.. a CB and a decent wideplayer that has a brain, they'll leave Liverpool and Spurs quite far behind.

We'd end most games on ten players if that lump joined us.
He'd be a last resort for me, like an ugly bird at 2am.Good point. I would take him here (though I'd rather Cabaye or Strootman) but I think he'd be best suited to Chelsea. Very much the kind of player Mourinho likes to have in a central two, win the ball back and have the passing competency to get it to Mata/Hazard/Oscar etc, while chipping in with a few goals and providing a physical presence.
There are also Reyes and Jeffers as examples but they are not that many. I doubt that they will activate his release clause as Fellaini is nowhere near 23m.Arshavin?
