Fellaini

Fellaini to Arsenal is even less likely than Fabregas to Man Utd, which I priced up at 100/1.

= Fellaini signing for Arsenal.

The odds of Fabregas signing for United also went up dramatically just now.

someone should do a compilation of certain predictions Storey has made over the years-

I remember his "where will the goals come from" posts when RVN left and laughing at us using sarcastic "5/10 year plan" comments. Ouch.

Can't be - He effing used the actual sentence "10 year plan" in grave seriousness about how Wenger's master plan is totally on track not too long ago.

383 - Since his arrival in September 2008, only Kevin Davies (405) has committed more fouls in the PL than Marouane Fellaini.

found this stat amusing

How's your 'plan' (if I can dignify it with that name - clusterfeck might be more accurate) going?

3/1 means there's feck all chance of them making a move anyway.

I don't see why not. You don't have to be a world class player to be a cert starter in the big European games, being a persistent nuisance to your opposition usually helps too - and we know from experience that Fellaini fits that bill. Heck, Park Ji Sung was a perfect example of it.

And Jones with Carrick against Madrid away.

The fact that Norwich are second favourites sums that transfer up. Would be hilarious if they were expecting Fellaini and ended up with the pikey.

Arsenal fans on Arsenal mania are practically exploding at the idea of signing Fellaini.

Thats exactly how they should respond, he isn't good enough for them and fits their style of play even less than ours. He'd also be their record signing which I'd find hilarious.

I write a tweet saying we're going to sign Tony Hibbert. If I had 20,000 followers, it would get retweeted a lot, and then retards would start betting on it, and eventually the betting would be suspended.

We're not getting Fellaini is what I'm trying to say. Wenger has more sense than that.

If he signs (please no) can someone at least force him to get a haircut?

Sorry Al, any excuse...

The hair makes him menacing, would look like a plucked chicken otherwise

He'd do well at Stoke. Aiding their attempted transition between hoofball and football next season. And they're probably the only team who woud get away with his incessant fouling because the referees accept it's their style. Perfect match imo.

That's really not what I meant, but since you ask, Crouch was bigger and hardly the best header of the ball.

He still won a majority of his headers. Thats why teams got him so they can hoof the ball into the box and let him deal with it. They didnt really get him for his 'footballing skills' now did they?

Hoping to add credence to your opinion by comparing it to odds you made up while trying to back up another opinion might be a sign of narcissistic personality disorder, mate.

There's a difference between being tall enough to beat a defender in the air and having the technique to do something with it. Crouch could never bring others into the game like Fellaini does because he wasn't that good a header despite his size.

Or it might be a sign knowing my arse from my elbow when it comes to football.

Fellaini scored a header today (from a corner) in Belgium's 2-1 win over Serbia. He played as a DM, but I thought it was quite a poor game from him. Even though he scored, I was hoping to see Dembele on for him because we needed to keep possession and Fellaini wasn't helping with that today.

That makes no sense. The hair is his main asset. His resale value would plummet. Nobody pays top dollar for a short cropped microphone these days.

Come to think of it...is it possible to buy just the rug? We could give it to Rooney - surely that would convince him to stay on, perhaps even take a hair cut...er, I mean pay cut.

Agreed. He was poor. Witsel did better in ball retention.

I thought the entire midfield was poor in possession, I wouldn't say Witsel was much better. That was my impression at least, I was watching in an extremely crowded hangar (Cristiano_RAFC: Park Spoor Noord :D) and it's not always easy to see who's who between Fellaini and Witsel. Serbia did surprisingly well to close them down. Anyway, delighted he scored what turned out to be the winner. That header was almost to easy, no one could get anywhere near challenging him.
