£27m for Baines would be downright hilarious, it'd be long past the point of insane.
27m for a 28 year old LB with 18 caps for his national side. Great business. sarcasm

He told the journos off the record that were in Malaysia with them on our pre season tour. All the papers ran with the story the same day - in that story was that we could make a move for Fellaini once we'd had a look at other targets.

No way we are going to bid 40mil for those two, but not Fabregas. I refuse to believe that. Sheer madness if true.

We probably would have bid that for Fabregas in the end, if he wanted to come.
Two players over one player.
I think £40m is a fair bid, but if Everton want £50m they will reject the bid and settle for something nearer £45m.

Very happy if we sign both. Pretty annoyed if we just signed Fellaini but would get over it. Not signing anyone would be a lot worse.
It looks the the pair of them would cost a combination of £60m... you feel money well spent then with what they both offer?
We need midfielders and we can't afford to be picky with a couple of days left remaining

Not included in the squad to face Cardiff, It's MarouONe Fellaini!!!
Is that confirmed? I've seen it on twatter, but nothing official yet.
Sky Sports sources understand Everton have made an enquiry for Wigan midfielder James McCarthy. McCarthy has been linked with a possible move to Everton all summer following Roberto Martinez's appointment as manager at Goodison Park.
Can't see how Everton would be able to afford him if they don't sell someone.
Bastards, unsettling their manager's former club's best player like that.
