Felipe Anderson

Italian newspaper Laripublica are reporting we are going to bid £33m for him. I think we should flo it if we can't get Mane or Moura. He's as quick as those two and can dribble. He's had an underwhelming season so far but still coming up with goals and assists.

He's like Memphis and I think he'd be daylight robbery at that price, I don't even care a lot for Mane but I'd stump up another few million and go for him over paying that kind of fee for Anderson.

That's alot of money for someone who is having an underwhelming season, I do like him but is he really going to make much difference between now and the end of the season, time to adjust, and find that famous 'football rhythm' LvG so loves to say.

I'd rather have Mane or Lucas. Would take all 3 of them though.
There's very little chance of Lucas to be honest, Anderson and Mane (and Fekir if he didn't get injured) are the next best options we have. Feel like Mane is ready to take the step up to a bigger team now though.

He's far far better with the ball at his feet than Memphis. It's not even comparable. He is also very good with both feet.

His crossing is also a few levels above our current options especially balls across the face of goal which we've had a lack of this season.

Might turn out to be a good player. Has a lot of talent, but still very raw. I think he'd need time, and won't be a player we can depend on to give us a lift this season.
Then again you never know, i thought the same thing about martial.

Why are we the only club who get our pants pulled down wrt to transfer fees even for players having an underwhelming season? Last time Mata, now allegedly Anderson.

This seems like a terrible idea. This is the type of player you add to a succesful team, where you can integrate him slowly and without much pressure to perform right away. Whoever we sign for big money now will be expected to basically save our season. That's a lot of pressure for a young, raw talent from a completely different league. As much as I hate short termism in transfers and managerial appointments, we need to be looking at players that are more likely to be able to step in and add something right away or we might as well not bother, especially considering LvG's tenuous position.

Just had a look at his youtube videos. Very meh. Don't want.
Watch him in an actual match, YouTube doesn't do him any justice, he's a very good player, exactly the kind we should be looking for right now.

i watched i fair bit of Lazio this season and i have to say that im not impressed with anybody there. They have the same problem as we do, they play terrible football and their manager looks clueless but you can see the quality of great players even when they play poor and i dont see it with Anderson. We should really aim higher then him, surely there are bigger obtainable talents out there....

No, quite a few teams do in fairness, but I doubt we'll pay that much for him, I think the max I'd pay for him is about £22m-£24m at the moment.

Youtube is supposed to highlight the best bits.

There's nothing there that excites me. Lucas is the one we should be looking at

Clubs know we are loaded and desperate. It will continue for sometime to be honest, I don't care.

We won't get Lucas, and even if we could interest them it'd cost well in excess of £50m, PSG are a difficult club to negotiate with, they always get good fees for the players or tell the team to get lost.

I don't care much anymore about the cost either if it is truly for a world class player that we need. If we continue spending big amounts on average players, we will never get out of this cycle of having to rebuild with millions.

There's no reason why he will cost 50m. He's not even a regular anymore as far as I know and there's no logical explanation for why his value should have increased since he's moved there. IF the player wants to move I imagine we'll get him for somewhere around 30m if not lower.

I really doubt it, PSG will look at the fees we paid for players like Martial, Depay and Shaw and tell us to top them, they're very good with transfer negotiations. Is there anything really concrete regarding Lucas? I love him as a player but I just can't see us getting him, I agree he's the ideal player I just feel like he'd be too difficult to obtain.

Honestly prefer Mane. He's played in the prem and we need some prem proven players. Get Griezmann in as the big money summer signing.

Think the Telegraph had something on Lucas to United for 20 odd million.

The thing with Martial, Depay and Shaw they were all young players doing very well and playing regularly. Lucas isn't for whatever reason. It's a bit PSG paying us less than we paid Madrid for Di Maria. The same logic should hold.

Seen him a couple of times this year, would prefer a plethora of other players infront of him, been pretty underwhelming this year.

I'll keep hoping but wish there was something a bit more concrete in your interest. Goodness, think how good we'd be in a few years time with young players like Shaw, Memphis, Januzaj, Martial and Moura all in their prime

People say that they would rather have Mane and Lucas over Anderson, but the truth is that we could do with all three of them. Our attacking options are so slim it is a joke. Mane on the left, Anderson in the middle and Lucas out right with Martial up top certainly offers plenty of pace!

But where do Griezmann and Ibrahimovic fit in all this?

Out of the "front four" only Mata and Martial have done anything to suggest that they are good enough this season.

I wouldn't want Mata as a starter. He's not been good enough. If he were sold, I would honestly not care.

Martial is young and we need a more experienced striker who is going to guarantee us 20 goals a season. That's why I'm thinking Ibrahimovic is the best option.

But where do Griezmann and Ibrahimovic fit in all this?

Ibrahimovic is too old. Griezmann could still be a viable option as he can play as a striker and as a 10, even as a winger. Everyone can see that Rooney is not good enough, and Martial as our only striker is much too thin.

Getting liked with Anderson again. This must be the 3rd transfer window in a row. The new Gaitan seems like.
