Fantastic squad on paper. Wish ours looked like that.

Now, people understand exactly what I meant when I said bayern have been very unimpressive regardless of their results.

The team has no identity and the players do not know WTF they are doing. That is not to say, that Bayern won't be good later on, but the fact is they weren't good so far and the results masked their actual play.

Also, think of what Fernando Torres did to Bayern Munich today. If he was 10 percent of El nino, he would of had a hattrick today and this is the team that has allowed only 1 goal in league play...

Carlo/Bayern need to figure out what everyone's roles are within the team and even consider starting Muller as a CM with Ribery/Robben/Costa as the wings or dropping Lewandowski for Muller....

Lahm-Hummels-Boateng-Alaba
Martinez
THiago-Vidal
Robben-Muller-Costa

Lewandowski is overrated by people. He cannot create and he misses so many good chances. he doesn't work half as hard as he did when he was with Dortmund and doesn't link up play that good. The goals he scored were a product of Pep.

Bayern might of won the Champs league before Pep got there, but Pep made Bayern into a consensus top 3 team for the past 3 years with Barcelona and madrid. Now, without Pep, Bayern might drop out of that tier 1 bracket.

edit: It's not losing to Atl, it's how they lost to them.

It's ok mates.

A lot of bayern fans are turning on Carlo now and understanding exactly what I've been saying for a while.

Also, Cavani is the same level as Lewandowski or better

Well, Kimmich couldn't go on saving our asses indefinitely. The state of our team is very much meh right now, and I can't help thinking that our youngsters Coman and especially Sanches could have used Pep's tactical drill for another year or three.
For now I take our current mehness as sign of the necessary transition from one coach to another, but I hope we'll get consistently better before christmas.

Up there with peterstorey claiming that Lewandowski wouldn't be an upgrade on Giroud two years ago.

To me it looks like we're stuck with a manager trying to uphold the possession football without actually being good at it. Ancelotti should just work more on his strangths and tell the players that it's okay to not have the ball for larger parts of the game sometimes.

And why is Lewandowski better than Cavani? Because pep made him the focus of the team last season and Bayern literally served him the best service in all of Europe?

Unlucky at times, incompetent at others. At least Sanches looked much better than before.

The evil NYC has also been vanquished. That makes it an overall "meh" matchday.

Bayern Munich reportedly tried to sign Ousmane Dembele over the summer but they missed out to Borussia Dortmund in part because they negotiated with the wrong agent.

The youngster signed a five-year contract and so far this season has started five out of Dortmund's six Bundesliga games, scoring once and registering two assists.

He could, however, have been playing for Bayern, but according to SportBild the champions' technical director Michael Reschke negotiated with the player's former agent Badou Sambague rather than his current representative Marco Kirdemir.

Not sure how reliable but they say according to sportbild.

Expectable. I mean they dress in strange clothes and having a thing called "Oktoberfest".

Imagine the outcry if stories came out that United/Woody did that.
Yep! And to be honest it wouldn't have surprised me if I read something like that in the last 3 years. We have had some entertainement off the pitch in that time, but good to see other clubs are catching up :D

That's a bummer if true

Wait, do you and other Bayern supporter actually believe this crap?

Reschke is an absolute expert in terms of scouting, together with Mislintat probably the best in the country. No way in hell would he make such a blunder. This does not mean that Reschke did not negotiate with Badou Sambagué, though. The press is simply too stupid to get their dates right.

Bayern Munich negotiated with Dembele´s camp since late 2015. Back then Sambagué was still Dembele´s agent. He did not change his agent until a few weeks before Rennes and Dortmund reached an understanding about the fee. The timing of the agency change was pretty weird back then and my theory is that Sambagué wanted to push Dembele towards a bigger club (possibly Bayern) as this would have meant a bigger pay day for him.

Dembele and also his mother (who is biggest decider of his career right now) were adamant to come to us, though, which led to a falling out with Sambagué. Dembele himself already said that he was set to join us for a long time (even personal Terms were agreed for several months) and if we would have reached an agreement with Rennes, he would have already joined us in the Winter window.

No.
I certainly didn't, or at least I'd assumed that there'd be more to the story than "wrong agent". Thanks for providing the details.

And yes, it always sounded like his mother was the most important person to convince :)

Another inconsistent performance, against PSV.

Well I'll try to concentrate on the positives.

Excellent game by Müller. Mobile, creative, inventive, involved. Should have scored a couple more though.

Some wonderful stuff by Thiago, too.

We start games very well. Started well also against Franfurt, even Atletico. What happens after 20 minutes is another matter though.

We have to accept that Philipp Lahm is on the decline now. I think Kimmich should play his position more often, giving a spot to Martinez in DM.
