FBI says it has no answers for "Mystery drones flying over New Jersey"

These are probably the alien drones that were creating the crop circles but have got a bit bored with having nothing to do

Yeah who could have forseen that using helicopters to scan for drones is completely unfeasible.....

Personally I find it concerning that it is being perpetuated by congressmen and senators receiving classified briefings. This whole thing is just strange.
can only imagine they’re happy it’s keeping other things out of the spotlight.

Is the log wrong?

There are thousands of UH-60 flights available on FlightRadar per year. Some of them with even whackier flight profiles. Most of them are on training exercises.

For example these from the past 48 hours:

https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n260uh#3860c40f
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/16-20912#38573a1f
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n260uh#3860a3c1
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/n260uh#3860d159

The vast majority of mission profiles, that isn't a training exercise, will turn off public ADS transponders, especially as they're nearing their mission destination.

You might see something like a KC-135 on flight radar flying over continental USA, and then disappear somewhere over Europe, over the Middle East.

I love how you've assumed that because you've seen a Black hawk on flight radar, it must be hunting down drones.

The ignorance is staggering.

Ignorance? Jesus Christ I said there was a black hawk out last night in the area where the drones are, calm the feck down. We’re talking about a weird situation that is apparently DJI drones and stars just thought it was interesting that a chopper would be in that very area

you said there was because you wanted to infer there was a correlation.

There was probably an F-16 overflight on a house that had a termite infestation...doesn't imply in the slightest that F-16's are there torching termites.

Heard the thunderbirds got called out last night too but it’s only a rumour atm.

Black hawks being used to look for drones

What next, F-16's to take out a termite infestation?

I swear this news cycle has made people lose their goddamn minds.
I’ve a brother in Atlanta who messaged me earlier to say that there is a couple of Blackhawks doing circles in his area like they are looking for something. What that is he doesn’t know

Yeah but we’re not talking termites this is a online thread about a topic which is at the very least weird, right?

To add to all the madness there was an army chopper doing the rounds, might mean absolutely nothing and he was on a routine flight but it’s worth mentioning

Not everyone was in the military so a bit harsh no?

Black hawks cumulatively do around 350,000 flight hours per year, most of them being training flights. These training flights can be anything from infil/exfil, loitering, manuvoeur drills, high cadence load/unload. It'd be more of a surprise if people didn't randomly spot them doing random shit every day.

@Castia for full context, that area is next to a gigantic joint US Army/AF/Naval base. About 20km from where the flightradar was zoomed in to. Of course there's going to be a load of aviation activity in that region.

The ignorance was not to do with the fact that the average person doesn't know how aviation protocols work -

It's the automatic 1+1 = 5 kind of logic. Rather than take a step back and assess and read up on all the possible things it could be (see: Most of them being incredibly mundane exercises) the conclusions being drawn seem to immediately point to, "They're hunting down drones."

Another example is an earlier poster who saw a bunch of copters over New York and assumed they were drone hunting before realising it's because there was a really bad accident on a motorway.

Well pardon our ignorance.
@njred was on his way to work. It was pretty early and like everyone else we are befuddled about the drones fiasco. Some of us are actually joking so don't get too worked up about it your highness. Well strive to do better and brush up on our military knowledge.

You might want to reconsider how you speak to people.

i have a theory that this is proceeding the next great reset of human advancement. 10,000 years ago there was the likes of gobekli tepei, there were the myans, the egyptians. they were given advanced alien technology and used it to create a load of rice dishes, dips and flatbreads. so they got a reset. the greeks and romans spent most of their time bumming; technology taken. when it got to the industrial revolution, we used the technology to create football and beer and start lots of fights, which the aliens loved. now days they see all the woke people back to ordering rice dishes and flatbreads and drinking 0% session ipa schooners and not liking football, and they’re coming to take it alway again.

Since you’ve thought about it thoroughly I’ll say that I think you’re onto something

Maybe health and safety is considered important on their planet.
It's how they blend in so they aren't detectable, like how they don't show up on IR. Wouldn't want anyone spotting them and causing a panic.

What will really melt your noodle is when I tell you that there is no light

The initial ones had lighting otherwise they wouldn't be visible at all in the night sky. After this the possibility of copycat actors is quite strong this is why the FAA have issued a ban on drones in the area.

My bet is military penetration testing.
