Where does it say that the draft will start immediately after the last match? I've never seen that anywhere, it's not in the rules. It's just very much common sense to not start things in the middle of the night. It makes no sense to do it this way. Are you starting the next match tonight? Tomorrow? No? Why not? Because of the timing. Because the timing matters. What's unbelievable is that you don't seem to get that.
 
I hoped someone would pick Krol, so that I might get the chance to pick him up in the next round. Something tells me that getting him back from Pol might be a bit difficult though :(.
 
Yeah I really cant be arsed going up against Pol, very good team and will win votes from the casuals with that front line

You genuinely think it's no problem to start the draft in the middle of the night when there's absolutely no reason to do so? I don't think you think that. I think that you don't want to offend anyone and that's fine. I know you feel a similar way to me but you're not as upset because it didn't happen to you.

Basically, Pol fecked up a bit. I wouldn't mind as much if he would just say it and say sorry. I'd move on. But he absolutely refuses to have done anything abnormal.

Anna followed the rules but he broke the brocode. That is, give players a breather when their turn is happening over night or if they're in a different time-zone. Under usual circumstances you'd have PM'ed your pick but I had no idea this was starting at all and Theon wasn't sure either so no PM's could be send. Anna wanted Pele and so he took him. A dick move to not wait but a legal one. I wouldn't have done the same, Theon wouldn't either and we had already proven that previously in the draft.

Leave it now man, I did know it was starting but just went to bed because it was 3.30am when the pick was made. Its my fault for not picking straight away in the morning - although Annah could have waited, he didnt have to.

I especially won't let it go now, now that the draw has been made. Just like a good boxing match, this fixture needs some hype.

I think we're fecked mate.

I took a risk with Yashin to try and get through next round before hammering the upgrades, but Pol is the last one we wanted to face.

I think we would have had a great chance against the other two as well!

I get why you're angry and I understand that it wasn't really all that well planned. But Theon was online, I was online at night. I asked Pol if we start drafting with him picking after the match like last time and he responded by saying, he'll pick within an hour. I didn't really see a problem with it, so I'm at least as much at fault as Pol here. I could have just said, let's wait till tomorrow or Theon could have written something. No one really cared.

I was up waiting for you guys 8 hours all night. When my turn came I was obviously going to pick and finally leave this draft and live my life outside of it.

I accept that you may not have done the same - but I never make anybody wait in these drafts and that is a rule of the brocode you clearly don't follow.

What did you expect me to do? Sit here from 3 until 19 just because you wanted to sleep longer?

Me being angry now should prevent that from happening in the future. Everything else in this draft is done so well. Rules for everything, draft is regulated and only moved if both participants and Pol agree. That's cool. Why not the same for the drafts. It will be now, I'm sure of it.

I'm not going to argue with your decision to pick. You saw that 8hrs and 3 minutes has passed since Pol picked and so you decided that your time was up. That's your decision.

So when do we play the games ? Both on the same day? I actually liked that two games were played at the same time.

Because I was waiting to pick of course to not cause disturbance.

Of course picking a better player was positive, but I would have picked even if it was the 12th pick in the first draft. I don't pick because I want the better player I pick because I've wasted enough time and it is my turn.

It was done so in the previous round and I stated so again in your own match thread. Pay attention and keep up

Why was it in the middle of the night again? Because you made Anto and me wait until midnight before we could start the match! Talk about how timing matters, what a self-absorbed princess...

Snow, you are throwing tantrums like a child who did not get his dream toy, grow up really.
I myself was tied up during the 1st draft and missed my turn, Cal and Aldo picked ahead of me but Theon waited. I appreciated his graciousness and asked him to pick before I do. I missed out on my target and the backup within those 3 picks. No hissy fits like you here.
 
@Theon, it will be a great match-up albeit one that I did not want after two very tough matches against Aldo and Crappy

Seriously though, Krol can play anywhere in defense and as a post 72 non-winner he will be extremely handy

For the OP update. You just need to add in the dates for the semi's


All players who played in the WC are available for drafting. For the purpose of this competition, these players are judged based on their WC prime.

Limiting conditions for the 11 on the pitch
1. at most 6 from 1 continent
2. at most 7 WC winners (reduced to 6 from Semi onwards)
3. at most 6 from 1970 and earlier or post 1970 (go by player's first appearance)

Competition format is straight knockout. After each round, winning teams draft from a common pool of players drawn from the eliminated teams (the drafting order will be reversed from that of the previous draft).

Draft Rules:
Draft setup
1. There will be 4 drafts in total
Pre 1st round - 12 rounds
Pre Q-final - 4 rounds
Pre S-Final - 2 rounds
Pre Final - 2 rounds
Finalists should have a squad of 20

2. The drafting sequence is as usual

Initial draft sequence
Round 1,3,5,...11 - starts with Team 1 and ends with Team 8
Round 2,4,6,...12 - starts with Team 8 and ends with Team 1

3. You have 8 hours to post your draft pick. If you do not do so, the draft proceeds to the next manager in line and it is up to you to post your draft pick at your earliest convenience.

4. Do your part to update the overall list of picks.

5. PM the manager next in line after you have made your pick

6. After the draft is complete, match threads with public polls will be started where each manager posts their match team, tactics and any persuasive arguments why their team has an upper hand over the opposition

Oh do feck off with that petty namecalling. It's completely different when it's 16 or 8 players drafting and the draft begins normally. It's not the same as the first pick of the draft starting at midnight and you know it. The only waiting to be done this time was because you started when everyone was asleep. It's really irrelevant if 3 out of 4 people were awake. There was no reason to start it at this time. None at all. You were just too trigger happy to announce your pick.

Give me one logical reason for starting the draft so late. Just one.
