WTF was I thinking picking Mazurka? I love the guy to bits but will never field a pre-72 keeper. Massive brainfart, would have got Conti late on instead. Christ on a bike anto :mad:

That was the most enjoyable part for me, we had really a lot of teams that tried to do the worldcup theme justice and I'm curious how the teams develop from here.

:mad: You have no idea how often you actually destroyed my plans :lol:. Had to go for Gilmar directly after you because I needed a pre '72 Southamerican goalkeeper and was afraid you would start the rush, which then cost me another pick I really wanted.
 
I called it during the draft, there's a distinct lack of wingers relative to the number of great fullbacks around, probably the first draft where that has been the case. Other than Garrincha and Lato, I can't see much quality from out wide. Then you start getting more central. I guess annah will have to pick Rivelino if he is to upgrade Ronnie. Actually, he would be amazing in his setup.

My issue right now is whether to deviate momentarily to gain flexibility and ten let it all fall together into place, or take an absolutely massive gamble that my 2-4th picks will afford me flexibility. Figueroa being pre-72 really fecked me over :mad: Make him post and he would already be joining the lads and readying himself for the challenges of playing an MM with a back three against all those magic squares flying around. We are gonna score more than you type game :drool:

Problem is I literally cannot take him on unless something else gives elsewhere and I can't take that risk, can I?

Like I said, Goycochea has nothing on him. Gilmar is the hero, no doubt. Love him to bits and won't sub him off, even if it'll drive me crazy that I have to work around the winner restrictions with him in the team.

The key thing is survival until it all falls together vs. making the theme come through eventually. Have to take an absolutely massive risk though, not just with the next game but I need BOTH my 2nd and 3rd picks to come through.

fecking nightmare, no chance of that happening.

On the other hand, I could pick Matthaus who would result in a stunning midfield for a 4-3-3 against all you square cnuts. But I would have to drop him for the theme to prevail eventually, which is fecking stupid with a first round pick.

Question is, will I ever manage to put it together anyway?

Not really, no. It's that if I don't pick Matthaus he would get a boner, crappy a headache and Annah is the winner whichever he overlooks. Neither of us is picking Garrincha and I doubt you will pick Lothar. Can't see him and Cruyff getting on at all the arrogant cnuts :lol:
 
I actually consider Matthäus, if you pick Baresi :lol:.
