I hope Polariod wins the draft so that we can add "Top of the order isn't a good position to be in the draft" to anto's "D(r)aft Pele" collection.
He would have gone out had you not been asleep! I do however stand by middle being best and reinforcements will make it even clearer.
The reinforcements (specially like this with 4 rounds) have meant that you just need to clear the first round and you have another shot no matter how well or poorly you drafted earlier. Of course you need to have a certain amount of players you can retain and carry on and all, but this format puts enormous emphasis on the first round draw.
What I mean is if you take the reinforcements out (this format) there's no real advantage at any position in the order. I've won a draft when I was second from top and I've seen people win it from all positions in newbs (where we had straight reinforcements, i.e. take a player from the one you beat).

Pol's position is imo truely frightening, there are so many brilliant centerbacks available that he easily gets a massive upgrade on Ferdinand and he will either make his midfield completely unplayable or get his hands on one of Ronaldo, Eusebio, maybe Pele / Kocsis, if they become available. Can't see anyone beating him, if he doesn't feck up something. Not 100% sure about the restrictions, though, a lot of his key players are winners, but I'm sure he finds a way to make it work.

Please don't let this be Neeskens all over again .Managers should have picked those players with the 12 picks they had if they really rate them

I think he will go for a defender. Caravalho/Gamarra took some slack for being underwhelming WC picks. He mentions that his primary choice would have been Blanc which he missed, so he will look to upgrade the area.

Glad to hear that Pol. I would hate it, if people started to pick specific players to counter the opponent instead of continue to build wonderful teams. That was the most enjoyable part for me, we had really a lot of teams that tried to do the worldcup theme justice and I'm curious how the teams develop from here.
