Fantasy Tournament: World Cup All-Time All-Stars

I prefer if you get as good a chance as possible mate as it is supposed to be about sharing stories and ideas about tactics - not a war.

I don't have the time though to push it further or I will not make a single post in the thread - something I don't want for either of us.
 
May be both of you should get an assistant who can make your case? I am mean you can discuss your tactics with them right now via PM
 
I have sent Pol a formation, without tactics or player profiles, and told him to start whenever is convenient. If I get a chance I'll venture into the thread and contribute but it doesn't matter if I don't, I'm not hugely bothered.

Can't see any alternatives to this really.
 
For me I would like the game to start in the scheduled time but I have no problems sacrificing my own ability to participate by starting it now.

I know I will have half the time to be here then - which hopefully makes it more even.

On the other hand though it has been almost a month to get ready with the write-ups.
 
Oh god, no forfeiting FFS. Worst case Fergus, maybe one of the managers that are out of the competition are willing to run it for you.
 
I agree with Anto here, start it tomorrow at the scheduled time, maybe one of the managers who are already out, want to take over as assistant, make short player profiles, a few things about tactics and then argue at least a bit for the players. It sucks for both managers, really, pretty sure Annah hates it just as much, if it's played that way. And when Fergus hopefully has more time in the next round, he can join his team again.

Start whenever you want then, makes no difference to me as I still won't be able to get my tactics etc across.

I have had far more important things to do really and there isn't usually such urgency to get it done from what I have experienced.
 
The player profiles aren't really important - as long as he gets his game-play/tactic up it is all good.

I have just one player profile anyhow.
 
It should only take 10-20 minutes to get a decent enough write up. Just forget the profiles, a brief description of what is going on - just simple shit like 'Falcao will look to dictate the play' - will be enough

I gave you the flexibility to choose any date from the last draft-day until our game started. You chose not to do that - I don't see how I am being unflexible or urgent.

I am already shooting my own leg to make it more fair considering I have all day after work tomorrow free until the match ends otherwise. Now I have work starting in 10 hours - then I will be away a similar amount unless something unexpected happens.

Rich coming from you Theon, but it's a fair point. Just a picture is no good, but profiles are not as necessary, particularly with Fergus' personnel off the top of my head.

That is more with upgrades though, I can stall for hours on a decision there - as you know from pm's!

On the actual tactics I'm alright, the one just then took me about 30-40minutes. I don't think tactics need to take that long, depends how in depth you want to go

I did mine in about 5 minutes, 6 tops.
 
If no one minds, I redid Fergus formation, because it drives me nuts that Matthäus is written wrongly and I turned it the way we agreed to do it, keeper up top in his case, so that both teams face each other:

Cheers man, really hurried through this all. Added a few points about my team in the thread (hope pol can add it to the op) and that's as far as I can go! Probably won't be back on here til Sunday.

The write-up wasn't really a big deal, the fecking pictures were annoying as hell though. There's not a single German curse, that I didn't throw at this11.com for not remembering the player names, when you reload or start over.
 
Been too busy to come up with my tactics, need to rush off now, will try to make time for it later.

No worries, mate. Your side isn't short of top quality either so hoping for a good matchup.
 
Just want to state it here too that Fergus deserves the cred for drawing without even being present. No matter if he loses at penalties or not he was the clear winner.
