Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

i would play Rogers, home against a poor team.

Eurgh. Yeah Timber maybe. Surely has the lowest XGi of all 4 and has just as much chance of a clean sheet as Hall does.

i would play Rogers, home against a poor team.
Cheers. Arsenal have been woeful defensively. My only concern with Rogers is that he gets early sub when Villa play UCL close to a league game but the upside might be worth it.

Just decided to get Trent instead of Gakpo and will now go Double Pool Defence.

Team for GW23 locked:
Becker
TAA Gabriel Hall
Salah Mbeumo Palmer Kluivert Amad
Isak Wood

Sa, Pedro, Robinson, Mykolenko

Might take a punt with DCL/Ndiaje in for Pedro for the Doubles and which would give me 5 players with DGW.

Overall 300k.

Which one to bench?

Timber (Wolves away)
Hall (Southampton away)
Sarr (Brentford home)
Rogers (West Ham home)

Leaning towards Rogers or Timber...
Timber. Think Wolves will score and ehas minimum upside outside a potential clean.
You'll have the same dilemma every week with that bunch in your squad though.

Team for the weekend:

Henderson (Fabianski)
Hall, Kerkez, Munoz (SvdB, Andersen)
Salah(C), Palmer, Rogers, Amad (Dibling)
Haaland, Isak, Gakpo

0,8M ITB

Plan is to ship Dibling to Bergvall and Henderson to Ward to free up the 1,5M needed to get Slot in for the double.

Thoughts?

Haaland and Palmer both dropped overnight. Palmer doesn't matter as he's a season keeper but Haaland again is annoying. I hope he smashes it this weekend. I plan on binning him for at least the next 5 gw's after this one so we know what will happen next.

It's particularly silly because City have been so poor in defense especially against attacks with some sort of attacking threat, i would be surprised if they keep a clean sheet.

Maybe frustrated captain blank rage transfers after Wolves.

Silly though. He could easily return against that City defence and then he's got a run that includes some of the worst defences in the league. Hope more people sell him tbh.

Weird to do it for one fixture if it is that, are they going to bring him back after City for West Ham at home?

The only angle I was thinking was that it could be a move to free up funds for Slot next week but I'm sure that could be done in many other ways. Just seems odd.

Edit: I see a lot have bought Trent this week ahead of the Liverpool DGW too and with a good fixture this week, guess that requires money.

Be funny when Bradley plays in one of them.

Yeah can see that coming a mile off, same with Robertson, no chance he plays both imo.
Nah I think Trent is fixed in the PL. They have CL/LC/FACup fixtures between the next three PL fixtures, plenty of occasions to rotate Bradley in then.

Could be famous last words though but would be surprised to see Trent rotatet in PL fixtures soon.

Sticking with this and saving transfers I think. Really undecided on starting the bolded or swapping with the subs. I know I should get shot of Jackson and Gusto but want Jackson for West Ham next week and can't see anyone I'd bring in for Gusto that's better than what I already have. Only possible is Konate but don't really want 2 Liverpool defenders and would leave me with no cash.

Raya (Sels)
TAA, Kerkez, Hall (Gusto, Munoz)
Salah (c), Palmer, Bruno, Rogers, Sarr
Isak (vc), Raul (Jackson)

Edit: Might do Jackson & Gusto to Watkins & Van Den Berg, no money in the bank after that but Watkins does have an easy run

Do we think Rogers for Enzo is a worthwhile venture if it means benching both Raul and Kerkez?

I don't like it but it was always the plan!!!

Pickford
TAA - Gabriel - Robinson
Amad - Palmer - Bruno - Salah
Watkins - Isak - Wood

Fabianksi, Rogers, Van den Berg, Greaves

I'm an idiot for having two United players in the squad let alone the eleven, but think I'll stick with that. Not particularly thrilled with Watkins having 90 minutes midweek.. and also with Villa needing a win on Wednesday. Worth a hit to get Gakpo in a week early? I've no intention of using the AM chip on Slot, although I should probably be trying to (finally) roll some transfers anyway at this point.

I'm not entirely sure how I have Watkins come to think.

Time to finally sell Haaland. 1FT. For Wood, or for Gakpo?
Forest's fixtures are going a bit shit to be bringing him in over Gakpo with a double, surely?

This assistant manager chip/double GW/week 29 blank is such a headache.

Despite the warnings I can reach Trent . Means I have to sell Gabriel to make it work if I want Slot and downgrade elsewhere next week. On the face of it, it's covenient I could do Hall > Mykolenko for his side of the double and get rid of a Newcastle player into the bargain ahead of GW 29 where I expect they'll be blanking. Newcastle's fixtures aren't great as a whole up until then anyway.

Big downsides to that though. I wouldn't really want to play Myko again until 29 so would need to do something from 25 until then as my options would be TAA, Timber, Rico Lewis (somehow he's still here), Myko, Greaves.

Best I can come up with is Lewis > Huijsen in 25 for Southampton A Wolves H, then in 27 I'll have my Slot money back.

Would want whoever I bring in to have a good GW 29 fixture too - it's Brentford at home for Huijsen which I guess isn't so bad.

Nobody has consistently good fixtures around that period and GW 29 itself looks hard for cheaper defenders. I see Guehi is going up tonight and he's likely to blank, not that Newcastle away would have been good for him in 29.

Might just bring in Allison or Konate instead, got a lot of permutations to go through, or I could possibly free up the Slot money another way while still going for TAA. Whatever I do it would be great if Spurs can hang on to their first leg lead in the Carabao.

Just realised I can do Lewis > Konate and have 1.6 ITB, enough for Slot next week.

If I want I can still do Hall > Myko for Everton's half of the double should I rather play him over Timber in 24. 26 Still a slight problem if I do, Konate away to City, and no Hall who would have been at home to Forest which I'd prefer. Could even do Greaves > Huijsen by then if necessary or forget about Myko and move Hall out after that should they get to the Carabao final.

Think Lewis > Konate is deffo the move, Gabriel, Timber, Konate, Hall Greaves looks half decent.

Lots of tough decisions for selection here, Timber v Hall v Wissa v Jackson and Sanchez v Fabianski. Might even end up in an unusual for FPL 4-5-1. I like the midfield 5.

GK
Gabriel Timber Konate Hall
Salah (C) Palmer Gordon Mbeumo Rogers
Isak

GK Wissa Jackson Greaves

Will decide in the morning.

Why have they changed the look halfway through the season? Surely that's something to do in the off season. As usual, it's a backwards step, but, I guess they need to find software engineers something to do to justify their existence.
I’d say it’s to make it more clear what is your bench and what is not. But more importantly to make design-room for the manager who comes next week.

This may suggest the AM chip wasn’t fully invented when the season began. Or just that they realized later that the design didn’t fit an AM. Then the logic step would be to introduce the new design closer to when the AM chip comes into play. (Now)

Watch out for Konate. Slot said he’s playing with pain (knee). But the games have some space in between so the chance might be worth taking.

Gone for Van Dick myself

What are people's thoughts for El Capitan?

Isak away to Southampton or Salah at home to Ipswich?

I'm on Isak at the moment.

I know Salah's at home and Ipswich were torn apart last time out, but Liverpool's away from is better than their home form and they've scored more goals away.

Southampton are hemorrhaging goals every single game and have conceded more at home (27) vs away (23). They've also let in 5 in three of their last 4 home games in the league.

If you're chasing, Isak is probably the play!

Need some advice for my Fantasy Draft Team. Bench dilemma.

Raya

Timber Gvardiol Konsa

Salah Son Gordon Eze

Wood Mateta Havertz

BENCH: Henderson, Trossard, Burn, Milenkovic

I could feasibly use all my bench on any other week.
Did I pick the right eleven?

I've gone
Raya -> Hendo
Gabriel -> Guehi

which freed up funds to bring Mateta in for that joker Raul and leaves me with 1.5 for Slot on the AM next week.

Sels
Hall Milenkovic TAA
Salah Amad Palmer Gordon
Mateta Isak (c) Wood

Subs: Hendo Guehi Anderson Dibling

Thinking about using AM chip on Moyes next week, depending on how they look against Brighton.

A 2-0 against Leicester and a scrappy 0-0 against Liverpool would be worth 20 points. He's only 0.5m to get in too so you don't have to free up too much money.

Perfect thanks- how much needed in the bank for slot!
Slot, Arteta, Maresca, Pep and Howe are 1.5m
Iraola, Hurzeler, Nuno, Ange and Silva are 1.1m
Amorim, Emery, Frank, Glasner and Pereria are 0.8m
Moves, Potter, Ruud, Mckenna and Juric are 0.5m
