Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Ffs saw Flekken with only 3pts and was confused. Quite impressive that he managed to make 6 saves in 35 minutes though.

Kellher out for Henderson it is. I'll leave Flekken in for the time being.

Get VVD out for a -4? If yes, who to bring in?

Is he injured, or are you trying to free up funds for a big upgrade elsewhere?

Wouldn't have normally thought that was worth it otherwise. That's even taking into account that I think Liverpool defence seem pricey right now based on form, 2 clean sheets in 10 is underhwelming, it's lower than the season average for all teams which is something like 23%. They've let in 10 in their last 4 away from home too.

Would think they have improvement in them, and fixtures aren't awful, but even if they didn't they're not so bad at the back that I'd have thought it would be worth a -4. If still wanting to move away from them might as well wait until it's free and use a transfer.

Looks like Cunhas ownership has gone up from 22% to 24+%. Not sure he goes up before the deadline tmrw but my plan to get Haaland is now on hold with Cunha not been banned yet.

Hate that I sold him. No going back now.

With the ban looming over over his head didn't want to be a position where I had 1 FT and fires to put out elsewhere, or it getting announced on a Friday or something daft when I'd already made my move that week.

While having a spare transfer to play with thought I'd get it done.

PL are useless.

Bruno gets a red card and his ban is instant (unless we’re stupid and appeal… waste of time).

Cunha attacks a non player after the game and it’s all on video and he’s charged. Then we wait a week, two, three while the morons in charge finish opening their presents and he carries on playing.

Not for the first time… copy rugby. Hearings in a couple of days - you said, we said, decision, done. It’s so fecking simple.

Did you WC when you took him out or was that Sandikan?

I just hope he can last till next game when he has Forest at home. He has tough fixtures after that anyway so plan was to move away from him after week 20.

Yep, I shipped him.
How on earth he's allowed to play on for ages after the charge I do not know.

Toney had similar, but they at least needed to collate evidence.
Watching a video of him twatting someone doesn't take much re-watching.

As the games turn over is so quick and I wildcarded last week, I'll leave alone. Give Jesus one more game, and rack up a 2nd freebie for next week.

Maybe they are trying to be nice over the holidays haha.

It's really odd, and pretty unprecedented. To actually charge him then just leave it is weird.
Either don't charge him and come back to it in Mid Jan, or charge and give the decision pre the next game.

Contentious bench for me...

Sanchez
TAA, Castagne, Gabriel
Palmer, Diaz, Salah (c), Amad, Rogers
Jesus Isak

Wood, Mykolenko, Hall (Fabianski)

Could easily have more points in those 3 benchies than a starter, but can't see who makes sense to leave out.

Just a regular transfer for me.

Seen people throw up examples lately on social media etc. They're not like for like at all though.

Two of them were Gibbs-White charged with abusive language after he'd already been sent off and Kudus getting his ban for a red card increased as he essentially commited 2 red card offences in the space of a few seconds.

They were delayed, but they were still serving their bans for the original reds when the extra punishment was handed out. There was no need to rush it.

Bentancur was the other for what he said regarding Son's cousins.

FPL makes you second guess. Thought I had a nice little plan sorted out, now I'm beginning to get other ideas. We'll see.

Toying with transferring Bruno out short term after all. Might have a 2 week punt on Son. Tied up in that is that I'm beginning to like Gordon a lot more, either for Bruno instead of Son, or instead of the plan to bring Mbeumo back after this week.

I'm having to deliberate with 3 options:

Sarr - would mean I would spend the next few transfers like this:
Bruno to Sarr
Semenyo to Gordon
Jesus back to João Pedro
Mazraoui to TAA

Gordon - would mean I would spend the next few transfers like this:
Bruno to Gordon
Roll
Semenyo & Jesus to Sarr & João Pedro
Mazraoui to TAA

Keep Bruno - would mean I'm unable to bring in TAA at any point. This one is unlikely for me as I want TAA for the double.

Any thoughts, ideally on the first two options? Slightly tempted by option 1 as Soton is a great fixture for Sarr, who is also about to rise in price.

Option 1 cause Sarr has a better fixture than Gordon this week. Also Sarr’s price is going up tonight.

I hope your being genuine and not because you plan on bringing in Gordon
 I do want to bring in Gordon but I have bigger headaches. I have Cunha and Evanilson. So that’s two transfers. Then maybe Munoz. So he is at least 4 transfers away so 3-4 weeks away.

Whilst I love the Munoz shout and someone I considered, I can't bring him in.

I've got Timber & Gabriel and I'm working towards TAA. My bench dudes are Hall and Andersen. And it's unlikely I'll ever line up with more than 3 defenders because my balls are huge.

Sorry, probably drunk too much, not sure what you’re saying (insert shrug emoji)

The absolute friggery would you want to bring Pedro in?
He's like 1 assist in about 6 games and not just A myth, but possibly THE myth.

I really wanted to get rid of Pedro and the only reason I didn’t, was because I have Duran and his ban.

Even then I nearly took a hit to get rid of him!

Option 1 (without Pedro).

It's not that I want to (I literally just kicked him out) but I need someone below £6m in strike to facilitate all my other moves and he's the best option because he plays 90 every game and on penalties. That's worth the £5.8m or whatever he is.

The other options are jobbers like Evanilson, Jimenez, Muniz, Vardy etc, they're all worse options.

I should have not taken him out but I had false hope that Jesus would miraculously score but as soon as the game started, I remembered why I normally never consider this useless wasteman.

There were other cases of players being charged by the FA this season. They all took a while to sort out too, 2-4 weeks.

People were bringing those cases up regarding how long it would take for anything to happen to Cunha.

I'm saying I'm not sure they were valid comparisons because they were either for different things or under different circumstances. I agree with you, don't see why it's taken so long.

Looks like they were right when guessing it would drag on. Enjoy your drink!

Depends on your rank. If you’re playing catch up then Palmer. If not Salah.

I'm doing well in my mini leagues, but do feel like captain choices are the difference makers now as so many by now have a similar team

Jackson not on any predicted line ups I'm looking at... and his forms off anyway, not that that really matters with him.... time to bring back Watkins as my move I think.

Where are you getting your predicted line ups, and how reliable are they?

There's bits and pieces around, looks like a mixture of speculation based off when they rotated v Southampton plus reading into Maresca's words.

He said this:
‘I think in December, we already played eight or nine games in 25 or 27 days,’ Maresca said after Chelsea’s west London derby loss to Fulham on Boxing Day. ‘If we are going to make one, two or three changes (against Ipswich) we will see. Now it’s a bit early to say we will change something.

I've been crapping myself over it all as my posts the past few days have shown!

There's no inside knowledge or in the know sort of stuff as far as I can see.

What there is is FFHub predicting a rotation, London Evening Standard in their newspaper column and Metro newspaper too. Possibly other newspapers as well, but they're the first two that popped up.

The newspapers are guessing this: Sanchez; Disasi, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Felix; Nkunku. Hub going for the same with the additional change of Jorgensen in for Sanchez which is the one I really don't want!

Anyway, even with possible Chelsea rotation went for the transfer with higher ceiling.

Might have no 'keeper but sod it, went Bruno > Son 1 minute before the price rises. Was seriously considering Sanchez > Henderson just in case but sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate.

If Sanchez doesn't play then hopefully Hendo concedes, and there's bigger upside in Son would think, more potential for an attacker to haul unless a 'keeper saves a penalty. Cursed myself into that happening now.

Sanchez
Gabriel Timber Lewis
Salah Palmer Son Rogers
Isak Jackson Solanke

Fabianski Semenyo Hall Greaves

Weird situation trying second guess Jackson's involvement. A 1 pointer off the bench if Chelsea do rest him and I'd be better off starting someone else. Mind you, if he is benched they might not want to bring him on at all because he's still that 1 yellow card away from suspension. If they're winnng by a couple of goals, and I think they very well could be there'd be no point bringing him on and risking that. Might as well start him in my team. It's likely I either get a start from him or nothing, and then Semenyo comes in for me anyway.

Might want to bump Hall up head of Semenyo, or even start him. United and our vulnerablitiy from corners but that's a choice for in the morning. Just about think a Lewis/ City clean sheet is more likey than Hall and Newcastle but it's a very close call.
