Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Spent all of yesterday considering Rogers vs Pedro but a true FPL asset makes your mind up for you, so cheers Salah. He's my only Liverpool player too, so I'm hoping that actually benefits me, as the aforementioned pair have good fixtures.

Muric
Van den Berg - Gabriel - Ait-Nouri
Saka - Palmer - Bruno - Rogers
Pedro - Jackson - Cunha

It's tempting to swap Salah for KDB or someone for a week, but I think I have a chance at a good score with the above. Of course, my bench is now just Greaves and Fabianksi. I do have £1.7m in the bank as well, so there's probably something I should be doing to strengthen with my free transfer.

Have to Palmer and Saka but thinking about going rogue with Bruno as captain. Might just end up getting couple of assists and or goal. We don’t know which Tottenham turn up and Arsenal away to Fulham can be a tight affair

So it’s postponed, any logic in selling Salah then? I’m afraid I sell him and then they extended the GW to say Tuesday and he still plays
Not possible as we play in Spain on Tuesday. I guess it’d be possible to play tomorrow but not sure of that.

Thanks! Forgot about the CL. Tomorrow sounds unlikely for all the TV rights and stuff I guess, but we don't know and I need to assume the game is off this GW.

Strange the deadline wasn’t moved, as it was when the Villa V Burnley game was postponed the other season.

Hmm so now my captaincy is Bruno vs Watkins vs Palmer.

Bit of a mindfeck. Which game will have least wind

At least this will create a lot of captain diffs. Saka for me, with Watkins vice.

Wise to choose at least one from a game not playing today do we think?

Yeah, I'm on Haaland and think he can be a decent diff with Salah now out. Palmer will surely be the most popular option, he was already over 140% EO last week

Yep, haaland owners could be right in the money here.

Fabianski
Gabriel Timber Lewis Veltman
Palmer Rogers Semenyo
Pedro Haaland(C) Wissa

I have Smith Rowe to come off bench if Veltman is out

Keeping Salah in your lineup will just mean he gets replaced by the first player off the bench, right?

Is it smart to keep Salah in the 11 just in case the match gets re-arranged for tomorrow or something like that?
Can only remember one euro game that was played the next day. No chance they'd be able to get this on tomorrow. Might be windy then too for one, but they will simply rearrange.

Is there any argument for moving Salah out to Saka if you're intending to wildcard soon if not immediately? Would lose some value but gains from Saka with a -4 probably exceeds what Wood gets at OT?

A hit for Saka? You'd need him to definitely haul and wood to do nothing to break even or make it worth while.

I think its a gamble. Im not doing it and hoping saka has a slow game on a windy day.

I'm on same as you Haaland but with Palmer vice.

Need to decide if Hall is a better sub in for Salah than Wood at OT.

I'm thinking of Joao Pedro as captain vs Leicester (A) instead of Palmer, Jackson vs Tottenham (A) or Saka, Odegaard vs Fulham (A). Anyone have any thoughts?

Depends how much value you'll lose and what sacrifices you may need to make on the WC as a result I guess?

Fulham is a tricky fixture too.

I'm just going to hope for the best (and worst?!) from Wood and this GW tbh...those still on Haaland will surely win this battle!

Yep probably not worth the risk, lose a lot of value and forces the wildcard hand when will have 3 weeks to use it otherwise.

Need Amad to play now who I brought in for Winks. But do have Hall as security to get an 11 in.

This all brings back memories of that week years ago where all bar 1 game was called off and Dempsey scored 2 from midfield.

Players literally only had him so got him captain!

Agreed.
I'm on Haaland but don't think he's a given as Palace often trip City up, we don't know if they're back on it after one win and a windy one doesn't scream made for Pep.

Hopefully he smashes them for a the most comedy differential ever...the top goal scorer and 15m man!

The YouTube hipsters have it on Palmer/Saka. Im torn between Palmer and Watkins and have opted for the latter.

In your shoes id do Saka.

Can't see that happening at all. Arranging policing takes longer than that and it's a legal requirement to have them there.

Probably Brentford and Villa? I'd captain Watkins if I had him, although he probably gets subbed after an hour no matter what happens.

Edit: Thought it was at Brentford for some reason  . Less windy in London would be my guess, so Palmer if you're worried about something else getting affected.
