Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Is it idiotic or smart to start triple Leeds (vs. SU) and to leave Gundogan and Dias on the bench (vs. Leicester)?
Not only do Sheff Utd look garbage but City have the 1st leg of CL v Dortmund 3 days later. Not inconcievable to think one of those 2 might be benched anyway.

In fact on my wildcard I'm finally thinking of letting go of Dias and having Ederson as a nailed City option.

Yep. I've only got Dias now.

Are there any Spurs assets with keeping beyond Son and Kane? I have Bale but was going to trade him for Salah on my GW31 WC.

Yeah I've got Son and Kane.

Was thinking of maybe adding in Lloris if I can spare a transfer. Areola and Martinez don't have the greatest fixtures until the end of the season now.

Also got my eye on Lucas Moura. Spurs triple attack could be a decent differential.

Plenty of time to decide anyway. Will stick with the og combo for now.

I'll be taking Dunk out of my team for a Chelsea defender. Assuming Rudiger starts tomorrow, do we think there is a possibility that Tuchel rotates him if he's played 3 full international games?

Otherwise Azpi may be a much safer choice given he wasn't picked in the Spain squad.

Also I have my wildcard and bench boost left, any potential strategies? Is the mammoth DGW in 37 actually likely?

Why does this influence you keeping Ward Prowse? It's replacing the Palace game in 32 so on paper a worse fixture.

Remains to be seen when that Saints v Palace game will be rescheduled.
O
Ah my mistake. Thought soton might be doubling

Just personally think Dunk is worth keeping. I think Brighton can be pretty tight and they still fighting for survival.

Personally for my team I look to sell my two City defenders first and possibly Dallas before I sell Dunk.

Need a one week punt before WC : Dunk -> Rudiger? Leaves me playing back 4 of Shaw-Dias-Rudiger-Cresswell with Dallas Benched
Selection headache if so if Son is back.
Martinez
Shaw-Dias-Rudiger-Cresswell(Dallas)
Bruno-Mount-Raphina-Son(Lookman)
Kane-DCL (Bamford)

I go with Bamford and Dallas 100%. They play aganst Sheffield.

Kane, Richarlison and Watkins up front.

Bamford with dreadful Sheff Utd.
Stick or change to him?

Con is that Richarlison and Watkins have doubles at some stage but still not arranged yet. And Leeds fixtures turn for the worse.

Maybe DCL is back being the better Everton option too so could be half of the way to getting him back.

With Bamford it could mean a possible blank, with him missing 2-3 easy chances. Or worse, Leeds score 4 and Bamford doesn't even get an assist.
He is one of the most frustrating players when you put him on the team.

I feel the opposite with Bamford. I am generally pleased with having him in my side and always feel positive about him. Like he has easily been my most positive and least frustrating player to own. DCL second I think. Kane too of course he rarely let you down.

The most frustrating players for me have been Bruno as captain since he is my lowest scorer as captain overall on average and we have only one win in 6 with him as my captain. De Gea for conceding easy goals for us and not getting many saves. KDB as captain for wasting chances and City still getting the wins. Soucek for hauling when benching him and no single returns when I started him. Antonio for being a huge annoyance just like Soucek.
Also add Jota in was my worst transfer in hindsight after Soucek, but I also knew he could get rotated. Him getting injured though was just typical.

Although overall Lamptey was the worst player I have ever had for FPL this season. Although he was not great when benching him mostly either. I think I got a 6 pointer from him once and that is my highlight with him.

Bamford and Watkins are surely without any doubt the biggest frustrators in the game.
Both miss endless chances and you could never risk captaining either.

Well I did captain Bamford in the double and it worked. Might captain Watkins in next double too.

I do not think Bamford miss that much though. His xG is similar to his goals. He is not super clinical, but I am generally pleased with him.

What annoys me with Watkins is not getting in the right place too often. Also without Grealish his form declined massivly.

I think in terms of wasting chances then KDB has been the worst when I did captain him. Although I got a few assists as well.

Let's put it to a poll...

Most frustrating player to own this season?

For me it's by a mile
1) Watkins

and then
2)Bamford

I wouldn't class Rudiger as a punt. Alonso is a punt. Also you can't bench those Leeds players against the worst team in the league. That's a BB squad if I ever saw one.

Gonna be a lot of points on people's benches this week before the fixture shift.

I think I've actually been lucky and had the best of both of them (bar Bamford last week).

For me Martinez because I've benched too many hauls from him and let him in my head.

City players as well. Foden and Mahrez. The exact opposite of Watkins and Bamford for me. Owned then when they've done nothing.

Watkins is more frustrating for sure. Bamford is still averaging well for his starting price. Watkins been unlucky with the woodwork a lot but still annoying.

Salah has been the most frustrating for me. Keeps blanking but this year, there's no one obvious to replace him with.

Yeah I've got Kane, DCL and Watkins. Just have to ride this one out I think with regards to Bamford. Still got Raphinha and Dallas mind. Very tempted to captain Raphinha as well.

I would be inclined to keep him but I don't think their fixtures are great. I've already got rid of all my City players. Pep lures me me in then fecks me

The problem is Watkins has Fulham at home, who have dropped off their insane defensive record a bit, and Grealish will surely be back. Having suffered Watkins for about 6months now, including Grealish's 6 week absence, , it'd be maniac to suddenly take him out now.

I've only owner Dallas for one week as a Free hit, so I'm Raphina only.

Also have Ward Prowse, but again a good fixture, so not the time to permo bring Lingard in, having again, had him on the free hit.

I am happy that Salah blanks and Liverpool drop points though. Otherwise he would be gone a long time ago.

It's this bench worth using the bench boost:

Forster (Burnley), Creswell (Wolves), Struijk (Sheff), & Traore (Fulham).

My main worry is that I can see some of Gundogan, Stones and Bale, who are in my starting 11 potentially missing out...

So I got big calls over the next week to make. It is 5 moves and 3-4 weeks to do the moves.

Dias/Cancelo out to Shaw, TAA, Azpilicueta, Rudiger.
Salah/Son to Bruno.
Gundogan to Lingard/Jota.
Watkins to Iheanacho?

How many of these moves would you do for hits? I really need to sell City before 33 so there is little point of waiting with transfers.

I think Bruno is a luxuary move, but the question is Bruno so good that a -4 is worth it to get him?

If I get TAA then probably no Jota though if I do Son to Bruno.

I also might do a -4 to Lloris, but he gets a double so that one is a calculated risk.

I’ve taken out Dunk and Antonio for Tierney and Lacazette. I have 10 players now for gw32. Arsenal have Liverpool at home (and I fancy them to get a draw at least) and 2 handy fixtures after that.
Arsenal assets look tempted due to their fixtures, but not sure I'd go for a defender. When was the last time they kept a clean sheet? Against us back in gw21
They will also be rotating heavily for the Europa League you would think.. tricky one!

I may get in Tierney. He has potential attacking upside as well and with those fixtures, he's a decently priced player.

Ok. Is it worth upgrading Lookman to Mahrez?
Definitely. Even if Mahrez plays 1.5 games out of 3 and Lookman plays 3 out of 3, Mahrez is likely to outscore him.

But there are other options in and around the price range that are better options than Mahrez (mainly due to Pep roulette).

Not playing bench boost in the end. GW36 might be better option for that.

Which three of these do I play?

Alonso (vs. West Brom)
Dallas (vs. Sheff United)
Stones (vs. Leicester)
Creswell (vs. Wolves)
Struijk (vs. Sheff United)

I can't be fecked thinking about this for the rest of the season, even though this is the best I've ever done

What's happening in GW36?

I'd go with Alonso, Dallas and Cresswell. I'm not sure I'd confident enough to have a double Leeds defence, even if it is Sheffield United. Stones would be my last choice I think.

Toss up on the third.
