Is everyone leaving out City and United players cause they don’t play week 1?

Also how many transfers do we get per week once the season starts?
 
If the league owner hasn't been online since April, maybe we should make a new league? Seems unfair on the newer members (plus, we probably have non-active posters in the old one).

Yeah leaving them out. Tried making a plan to get them in but I can’t be fecked thinking about it. Just making the best team I can without em and will get Bruno in ASAP, then the rest when I can.

I really like this team and idea. Only thing holding me back would be Adams as a starter. I think Leno will start for Arsenal too, but a great team. Strong all round!

I think Rodrigo will be a good shout at 6 million after the first fixture.

I would like to be in it, my leagues are pretty dead with most not bothering after Christmas.
 
I just changed it Maluco haha. I don't like going with two 4.0 defenders, think we need the insurance of a playing bench option. Gone back to a 451. Adams out for a 4.5m striker, and upgrade a 4.0m defender to a 4.5m

Yes and 1 free transfer per week but you can take a -4 hit to get another player in (and then -4 for every subsequent transfer). Free transfers accumulate weekly if unused.

I ended up doing similar, went for Antonio up front so I can afford a Mitrovic/Rodrigo, Walker-Peters bench. I think it will be needed more than ever this season!
 
So what’s the trick here? Having one top player in each position and then surrounding them with mediocre players or just find the balance without any big names?

Tough decision to pick Havertz over Greenwood but I like the look of Havertz and think Chelsea will hit the ground running. I am aware half my team doesn’t play first week but figured you’re going to lose as much points changing them the following week anyway.

Are Bruno or KDB likely to rise after GW1? My plan is to bring them all in RIGHT after GW2 starts.

The consensus of the experts is that Bruno is overpriced, so a lot is going for Greenwood. General consensus to switch from Auba to KdB before gw3.

So wouldnt Worry too much. Auba to KdB is a downgrade of 0.5m Anyways

His scores in his first 3months were probably up there with anyone?!

Thinking Son -> Greenwood, Auba -> De Bruyne and possibly Werner -> Martial depending on how the former starts, and possibly Tierney -> AWB

Basically every expert with top 10k finishes who makes a youtube video. The winner last year, among several others. Basically they're saying that United wont get as many penalties for Bruno to convert again this year, so his price-tag is high.

I have 1.5 million to bring in Martial, Bruno, and De Bruyne in the 1st 3 weeks, but I'm thinking of maybe going for a better keeper instead of Martial. Thoughts?

Well, what's the craic lads. Does that old code work for the main league?

Happy to keep this year's league up either way. We can call it a Nations League style cheap knock-off imitation of the main one.

I'm in the Redcafe league, auto joined on renewal.

It's another tough year! Lots of new exciting players joining and impossible to have them all

I'm starting with no City/United players and I will probably WC early on - within first 4 weeks. Always have done and it seems to work as a strategy. Don't let the pack get to far ahead and keep your Team Value high.

So far I have Salah, Auba, Werner, Alli, TAA, Davies, Mitrovic in the team. Few other low value guys
