Fantasy Premier League 20/21

So I am thinking of making an aggressive move next week after the Manchester derby.

Remove Ziyech, Rodriguez and Vardy for Mahrez, Sterling and Bamford.

I kinda want KDB but I will have to downgrade a midfielder because I'm 0.2 short.

What do people think? Mahrez is 8.4 and that is cheap!

Two City players?
Up to you, it's not bad considering City's upcoming "easy fixtures" but I only trust KDB from that team.

Bamford is a good value.

Mahrez and Sterling both have the potential to hit big scores when they want to. I think it might be worth it over xmas.
 
81 pts with the GK, defender left to play Monday's game. Seems good returns. Thank God for that fruitful return to business by Zaha
 
65 with 2 to play. High average this week as all the big hitters returned.

Captain pick Mahrez was a fail and annoyingly my lowest scoring outfield player bar Ziyech.

Another -4 for me. Salah (c) and Bamford in for Ziyech and Vardy.

My front 7 is now Salah, Bruno, Mahrez, Son, Kane, DCL, Bamford. I want Grealish at some point.

Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure Kane has been rested most Europa games.

That’s nice. I like the idea of downgrading KDB to Mahrez and changing Son to Salah. Allows me to keep Kane and cover all of the top teams. Just not sure I trust Mahrez to return regularly.
 
86 points with Ward-Prowse to play. Doubt I'll crack the ton but a good week nonetheless.
 
Pretty sure I will have one or both of Son and Kane back in for GW 16, but I don't see the panic to bring them back in. Their underlying stats have completely dropped off and they won't be capable of continuing to haul without getting a lot more chances. If you sold them recently for Bruno and/or KDB or even someone like Rashford, I think the recent weeks have shown that to be a sound decision. Son and Kane have continued to massively overperform for you not to be rewarded.
 
Man City players are a nightmare on FF as Pep’s team selection tombola makes it difficult for continuity. Only KDB is likely to start most games for them and even then, he will randomly be benched.

I think the lower stats are because they played City, Chelsea and Arsenal where Jose usually goes into his shell. I think they will go back to early season form when the fixtures turn.
 
Jota (if he plays), Son, Kane and Ward-Prowse have excellent firxtures next week.

Going to wait until closer to Friday's deadline but think I'm going to have to fit him in.
Can't do a straight swap so will need to take a -4. Possibly Ziyech and Barkley out for Salah and Soucek. Or Ziyech and Vardy out for Salah and Wilson.

Imagine making a -4 now and then someone else important gets injured or ill. Or you bring Salah or Jota in now and they play midweek meaning a rest is likely v Fulham with Tottenham up 3 days after.

That's the only thing that's causing me to keep my deep team. So far since I've started going with a deep team nobody on my bench has had more than 2 points, and it allows me to capitalize on fixtures and offset injuries/covid. I've had a terrible week now with Ziyech as my captain and will still get to 60 points and be no more than 20 points off the best in our league who had Kane, KDB, Son and captained Salah.

I think I will do Bellerin, Vestergaard, Martinez, Jota, Adams to Dier, Targett, Forster, Mahrez and Watkins but that's like 5 weeks of transfers so not too bothered about it as I'll change my mind 100 times. Having Dier, Chilwell and Dias will have me nicely covered in defense.
 
Utterly fecked my team and OVR in the last couple of weeks by transferring out Zaha and Kane. How the feck do I fix this?

Nothing ITB. Feel like I really need to drop Jesus, I took him as a differential for the Fulham game but he doesnt look interested. But they have West Brom after the derby. Already used my FT to bring in Grealish.

Oh I don't trust him either. Just can't have them all. I mean to get KDB I need to raise £3.4m. The only realistic way of doing that for me was Kane and Bruno out for Vardy and Grealish.

So Vardy, Grealish & KDB vs Kane, Bruno & Mahrez.

I prefer the latter (for now)

I doubt Mahrez price will drop anytime soon but I saw a graphic that he was a prime candidate being shipped out by people upgrading to Salah or Kevin.

I considered him as a stop gap when Grealish got a blank especially since he hauled big vs Burnley but what put me off was when I saw his history and from GW3 to GW10 all his returns came in combined two games which were Leicester and Burnley while starting in all but one of those game weeks. Any city attacker playing such an advanced and ball dominating role yet blanking so much didn't sit well with me.

Obviously that's in the past and he could get a better turnout going forward but getting those many consecutive starts from Pep when you are not named De Bruyne is a godsend and he didnt make the most of it. From what I think of Pep he doesn't give a shit about form and just rotates players based on predecided rotation or whatever and Pep might move on to the next batch of starters for next set of games or whatever. 8 odd mill is a high amount so I generally would want to get someone more nailed. Even thought Ward Prowse looked a slightly better bet but he has the same issue of hauling big one game then blanking a bunch in a row.

Yeah I kind of agree. Mahrez is the prime candidate for shipping to get Grealish tbh. Like you I just cba with Pep and his silly games. You know the likes of Kane, Son, Grealish, Bruno, Salah are just more nailed.

Tbh I don't even mid if he's benched vs us as long as he gets the West Brom game after. Then I'll look at Grealish probably.

Re: Mahrez, by all accounts he was motm on Saturday. Small consolation for his fpl owners but I'm sure Pep recognised this. Created 5 clear chances according to stats. No doubt he's in form at the moment.

Thing about vice captain is Salah will come on even if he starts on the bench. Possibly even for the final 5 minutes.

Same for me though I don’t have KDB so will go for Grealish v Burnley on GW13 I think.
 
All the highest scorers will be in the midfield this season, although the likes of Son, Salah and Jota should really be forwards.

Long term aim is to have all of Salah, KDB, Bruno and Son. I think it's doable if you make sacrifices in defence, which isn't hard when there's very few clean sheets across the board this season anyway.
 
I never considered Mahrez but now I'm thinking about it.

I could easily go from KDB and Wilson to Mahrez and Kane.

Agree, that's why I've just gone all out, Bruno, Salah, KDB, Grealish and Kane all in the same team. The sacrifice being no DCL or premium defenders.

I have McCarthy and KWP so your words cut me to the quick.

It's my own fault really, it's poor practice to have too many defenders from one team.
