Fantasy Premier League 20/21

I was resisting typing earlier knowing I'll jinx it but Vardy was gonna score at some point anyway. Still really happy that he didn't get much more than 1G and 1A over last 3 games given the plethora of managers camped on him and gave up their premium assets for him. Was really worried he would go crazy with some double digit hauls so as a non owner pretty lucky there.

Having said that, if you are not gonna captain De Bruyna against fecking Fulham playing at home then why do you even have him!
It's not as clear cut as that though because you often have couple of players with awesome fixtures and need to pick one. SHU have been the worst side by far this season, Fulham slightly better. I expected both to haul which is why they were my C and VC but fine margins can cause quite a point swing.

I like Vardy but De Bruyne is easily a bigger threat given the plethora of ways he can earn points, especially playing cannon fodder at home which is what he buries with eyes closed. A couple of inches here and there and and he was looking at a hat trick yesterday. Games like those are literally the whole point of owning these premium assets. Vardy isn't in the same bracket for me.

I can't watch this Justin anymore in defence.
Son and Justin for Zaha and Chilwell. Plus i can then uograde Burke for Podence.

Thoughts? I don't want to sell Son but it would be basically 3 players for 1

Edit; i really really don't want to sell Son

What about keeping Son and changing out Justin to Dier?

Nailed starter under Mou and they have a great defensive record early doors. He hits free kicks at times too.

I think he could be an interesting diferencial and Son will haul more often than Zaha I think.

KDB is in one of the best teams against a shit defense that tries to play out. It could (and should) have been a massacre.

Vardy thrives off hitting the better teams on the counter, which was not going to happen against Sheffield United.

I made the mistake of captaining him over KDB last week but not this week.

Vardy is going out. His output isn't value due to his price tag and his points are padded because of penalties. He doesn't even get many shots in the box at the moment.

Wilson will come in until Spurs fixtures ease and then I'll probably get Kane back.

Arsenal are white aren’t they, feck knows how we managed to play so bad against them

Not bad advice about Dier

Seems like points for everyone this week. Suddenly just Chilwell blanking means my GW is going to end up average. Justin and Hamez the only other picks with greater than 20% EO to blank.

A lot riding on Robbo and Jota.

All those who dumped Son out because of ‘difficult fixtures’

Were probably right to do so, assuming they got the likes of KDB or Fernandes in. Not least because they would likely have captained KDB yesterday and/or Fernandes against Southampton.

The idea was never that Son or Kane would suddenly stop getting points. Just that others would get more and (because of captaincy) you'd get more value for the money spent on those other players.

Very frustrating after such a good start with De Bruyne. Really needed him to get those other goals he missed.
Really need Wolves to stop Liverpool's assets hauling today.

A guy in my league is storming up after taking 44 points of hits over 4 game weeks!!
But's he's on 71 so far this week with triple Southampton defence to come!

Please let Brighton score and for Kane to get a few more points today (though ideally with no Son involvement!)

I didn't expect then to not get any points but I also think they won't be getting hauls in these games and so far that is correct as the fixtures are tougher.

My replacements in KDB and Vardy haven't exactly blanked either.

Edit: I take that back

Will take the Kane goal. Shame more Son involvement!

Difficult decision tonight now...

Kane & Ziyech to Bamford & Salah for -4

Or keep Kane and just do Ziyech to Jota?

Or hold until next weekend and judge then? Problem being that Ziyech will definitely go down tonight and Jota go up. Salah very close to going up tonight too.

I refuse to buy Son after missing the train. His form can’t last, can it? Can it? :nervous:

When you think they probably moved him to Bruno or De Bruyne perhaps less of a laugh after all?

Son was 9.0. He is in a different price bracket to the much more expensive Fernandes and Be Bruyne.

Also it’s possible to keep Son and also have Fernandes and De Bruyne, so assuming removing Son to get the others in, is a one sided view.

You can't have everyone though.
Many people, myself included have taken Son out to get one of the two. And it's come off for us so far as an overall piece of work.
Presuming Son doesn't get a 20 pointer today

Bruno and KDB going to feel like liabilities headed into next week when Son plays Palace.

Covering every attacking team is a headache.

Robertson goes out after they are done smashing Fulham. Have to cover as much attacking potential as possible given its all floodgates this season.

City - KDB. Don't need anyone else.
United - Bruno. There's no one else.
Liverpool - Salah. Jota as a budget bonus but not sure now.
Spurs - Son possibly given he's 1.5m cheaper and a mid.
Villa - Grealish - pretty straight forward.

That will be my midfield for sure. DCL is a season keeper up front and can be partnered with any of the 6m forwards. That still leaves me with no Chelsea cover. :(

I feel like I need to get Kane in as well as Son. It’s a great tandem.

It would have to be something dramatic though. Grealish/Calwert-Lewin for Kane/March.

It would probably be madness if the former two keep producing...

Possibly Leno/Jota/DCL for McCarthy/Kane/Anguissa

Keeper won’t make much difference, but Jota is 5th midfielder, so it could make sense for first team.

Jota on the bench, not sure it's worth the money playing roulette with him every week.

Salah getting an injury would save me a really tricky decision with Son and Kane. It’s great on days like today, but it’s really frustrating when they both blank. I was convinced I would be getting to fund Salah and Bamford.

I wish I could keep Kane and swap Son for Salah, but I don’t have enough funds.

Excellent news.
But less annoying then if you have Salah benched at his price point.

Should mean he starts v Fulham then?
If he starts in Europe his owners will panic though as it's a dead rubber!

That's probably a bit too much midfield money. Must mean you either have a team value of about 105-106m or have a gang of real chump priced defenders :)

Kane and Son combo helping out again. With the difficult fixtures ending, they should be more valuable to have. At 80 points if those two get bonus points. Good week.

They play Liverpool away in a couple of games time.
If they haul in that fixture they really are fixture proof!

Just replaced Gabriel for Dier. Spurs defensive record is too good to not have one Spurs there

I looked and I could get that midfield with DCL and Watkins up front, and still have Chilwell.

Dead weight Brewster 4.5m up front though and some cheapo defenders. So probably a bit too untidy.

Jota and Kilman benched hurts this week. We knew Jota wouldn’t get 90 every week, but this one hurts. Today was fantastic for FPL. Everything today so far has gone against. May somehow end up with a red arrow this week.

Selling Kane and Zaha two weeks ago feels like such a big error now. I guess Zaha had covid and Vardy played Fulham. Still Kane is such a beast to have.

Having to get rid of Kilman now as the reliable 4th defender. Will need to spend a few mil to upgrade to starter there.

Very tempted to use my extra cash to upgrade him to Dier. He is a top CB in the game now and at only 4.9, is great value to have.

Might just forget Kane for now.

Kept Kane. Had to sell Son to fund KDB few weeks ago. Still up on the deal with 5 Green arrows

Such a tough decision on transfers.

I'm tempted to do Ziyech to Jota. But then can you risk no Salah v Fulham? We marvelled at people not having Bruno last week and De Bruyne this week.
So no Salah is a real big risk.

But can you risk Kane out for -4? He can haul anywhere (bar Anfield)

Take out Bruno feels like the logical choice for me. I think he will be rotated over christmas a bit with his injury.

Salah might not be worth it since Pool are not really destroying teams this season. Easy move back to Bruno when you need to do it.
