It's true. My double Chelsea went to poop at the weekend. I'd I'd had a different two in James and Zouma it'd still have been good!

I'm afraid I have to be particularly happy as this cheeky guy at work has used 50 points in hits this last 4 weeks and is still motoring up the league. That shouldn't happen!
So I'm glad his super high risk of leaving 3 Chelsea defence benched and playing 3 Southampton boys hasn't paid off. (Zouma's 8 second sub for one!)

Slightly fearing 3 Southampton v Sheff Utd now. But surely he can't risk benching Chilwell and Zouma again!?
 
Kept McCarthy in team and Ryan on bench. Have Lamptey. So if at least Brighton manage a clean sheet, it is good enough.
Very unlikely though.

Hack his account and make the decision for him with a few four point transfers. He certainly deserves it by the sound of him.

I'm having by far my best week of what has been an awful season for me. I've been late to every party, wasted too much time with Martial and have still not managed to get Son in.
 
I’m just going to keep rotating Grealish Zaha Jota and ward prowse as the 4th and 5th midfielder. Bruno KDB and salah are going to be set and forget over the next few weeks even if I need a cheaper lead striker.

Vestergaard scores. He looks a good player. I was saying it the day we played them. He’ll be at a bigger club soon.

I'm just going to be holding him off the way this week has gone.

Not quite right how his utterly insane recklessness has paid off!

I had Vesty the first season, thinking at his height and build he'd surely score plenty of headers. Then erm...didn't until this year!
 
Playing someone in the cup who has Ward Prowse as captain!
This might be closer than expected if he gets something else!
 
I got a whopping 50 points this week...

The missus is on track to get 95 points.

She's being very gracious about it.
 
Arse biscuits! Might as well have had a clean sheet with Vesty scoring and Walker Peters assisting!

80 points from 10 players, I’ll take it.

1 point from Jota after transferring him in for Grealish was the only damp squid.

Anyone else with Ryan in the squad. The worst bloody keeper ever for fpl. No clean sheets, no saves. No hope to save a pen either.

Basically if I was given 2 points or playing Ryan I would probably take the points. At 3.5 million he would still be a waste.

Worth a -4 to sell him for Meslier? Leeds look better and he is getting saves.
I already have Martinez so could just play him and keep Ryan to the next wildcard.

I got Bednarek and do not want to double up ideally I think. Only double on attacking fullbacks like TAA/Robbo in the past and maybe James and Chilwell this season at some point.

With that said Mccarthy plus Dallas might beat my pair possibly and be more fun to watch. 0.1 more though and too many transfers to get.

I think Lloris could be worth it though at premium cost. He is a bit like De gea under Mourinho for us. Kane and Son might take the bonus that is the only downside compared to us.

I’ve done the same with Salah, KDB, Bruno and Kane.

Still feel it’s a bit much but found it impossible to choose between them and there are enough cheaper options firing to hopefully make it workable - had to downgrade DCL to Bamford but given the fixtures it’s a move I was fairly open to making anyway.
 
I can’t believe after Saturday that I am ending up with a red arrow this week! Only nine players will do that for you, I guess.
 
Has Ziyech dropped price recently? I want to swap him for Mahrez but I'm short 0.1m. FFS.

My GK situation is beyond awful. I was one of the lucky ones who had Pope almost from day 1 last year and he scored very high at a low price. This year I started with McCarthy who did nothing for me the first two weeks, moved to Ryan on WC, also nothing and then swapped him to Martinez who provided me with a grand total of one clean sheet. I have 17 points in 11 games from goalkeepers which is less than any goalkeeper would have got me at set & forget. I have both Martinez and McCarthy now, will probably make wrong choice every single game week.

Wow that is worse than me find that tricky to do. I have 2 clean sheets at least. 21 points in total. Basically Ryan set and forget would be better funny enough.

I rotate goalkeepers with easy fixtures to bring me more points. Had I just stuck with Mccarthy or just ignored Ryan I would be way better right now.

Last year I did way better with Pope and Henderson.

Yeah anything would have been better. I have basically been cutting goalkeepers when they were about to start performing, and picking goalkeepers who have stopped performing. I thought getting rid of Martinez and Vestergaard and going for McCarthy and Targett would have been better as it's cheaper and would add 0.4m to my budget but I am starting to think Martinez and Vestergaard is the way to go. Martinez will maybe save a couple of penalties and Vestergaard is a big threat from corners so will likely grab 2-3 more goals (hopefully not from the bench).

I definitely need to get one fodder in defense as it's so frustrating to be leaving 9 points on the bench. Chilwell, Cresswell, Vestergaard, Dias and Bellerin is definitely overkill and swapping Bellerin for Dier as I planned will not make my life even slightly easier.

The funny thing is I have barely got a save point from my keepers even when they concede a lot. How should you predict that really?
Only time Ryan made some saves was against Villa when I wanted Grealish to score.

Out of interest what are people's thoughts on the Manchester Derby in terms of do we think it will be good for fantasy assets or not?

I'm going to make an aggressive transfer soonish and I'm going to take 2 hits. Reason being I want 2 City assets for the Xmas fixtures.

The move is --> Vardy/Rodriguez/Ziyech out Bamford/Mahrez/Sterling in <--

Reason I dont have KDB is I can't afford him at the moment. Second reason being that everyone has him and I think City always will have a game when Sterling and Mahrez will outscore KDB so I hope with this risk it will move me up the ranks in my mini leagues. I've already risked no Kane and DCL so bringing in another must own just keeps me on par with everyone else.

My transfer can wait till next week if we think the derby will be a stalemate and will save me -4 points. I can do the move now or next week.

Mahrez and Sterling are highly annoying to own. Not a 100% guaranteed start, even sterling was rotated last week. Plus they're not consistent in their scoring either.

Personally I'd have Salah during Christmas and may be a differential like Pulisic if he's fit. Or else Zaha.
 
Will Newcastle play this week? I'm planning on downgrading DCL to Wilson if the game is confirmed. Plus bring in TAA for Cancelo.

Without touching other areas of the pitch, I would probably do Chilwell to James, Cresswell to Coufal which should will allow you to get Dier and Targett for Bernardo and Mitchell.

I agree on Chilwell out - he's too costly, plenty more valuable cheaper defenders.
Cresswell out for a cheaper defender is good too, but...
Dier is a very good choice, he's the most constant in Spurs defense. Son and Kane is a must in my team, so having Dier seems too much, we'll see.
No comment on Villa's defense, they're too...

Tempted to bring in Coufal.
 
When does the wildcard refresh? Still have mine and tempted to use it.

Know it’s usually January but didn’t know if it was different this year with all the congestion
 
I’ve still got Digne rotting on my bench. I haven’t a clue who to replace him with. I’ve got R James and Chilwell already. Want a city defender but seems like only the center backs are nailed on. Even considering Telles! Any suggestions from the caf very welcome!
