I wouldn't be too many moves away from being able to have a midfield of Salah-KDB-Bruno-Son-Grealish. Would give you a decent base of points most weeks you would think. Rest of the team would be Martinez, Zouma, Bednarek, Lamptey, DCL and Bamford. Not bad either. Not overly much fun after that though, would make the game a bit boring

I can do it but I have to downgrade DCL and Chilwell. I pick defensive fodder anyway and I don't have a second playing keeper.
Yeah pretty much going with a feck defense strategy this season the irony of which is that I've been unable to remove Robertson since gw 1. Really should bite that bullet soon and free up funds elsewhere. For example I can do rob to James and upgrade Jota to Son and have a midfield of Salah KDB Bruno Son Grealish.
Zaha is back for Palace, just hoping doesn't be a wanker and bench Jota.
Owning KDB, Salah, Bruno and Son is tough as you almost need to have Grealish there and that ties up a lot of funds in midfield. I’m fine with 2 for now (Bruno and Salah).

The striker options are so poor I may end up keeping Brewster in my team as bench fodder. I would like to replace him but at 5.5m or under the options are poor. The only player I'm considering is Fabio Silva at 5.2m and given Jimenez is out, he may start getting games.

Welbeck at 5.5 is not bad until he gets injured. I think he’s guaranteed to start alongside Maupauy or Connolly. He will more now Maupauy is injured.

Thing is I never jumped on the Kane/DCL party beginning of season, everyone who did built really nice leads of around 75-100+ around me.
It's obvious what the template is now but for me to get onto the template will not make much sense because I only gain the same amount of points as they do.
I am the same, a woeful start, and by that stage, am 100 points behind. I pulled it back last year though by taking risks in double week games and using my free hit and wildcard effectively in the second half of the season.
There is still all to play for. Templates and form players change very fast. I tend to just look at my own team and enjoy tinkering with it and getting better weeks now.
If I get back into it, great, if not, can still enjoy chasing better weeks and trying new things.
Nope, binned him off weeks ago when I realised Arteta kept sticking him out on the wing, even when he scored that pen at Old Trafford he was well overdue for replacing. FPL have him down as a midfielder not a striker this year, he's not worth wasting budget on when there are better midfield and cheaper options right now.
I'm gonna wait till Auba manages to catch up in scoring with central defenders of other teams. Currently Kurt Zouma has scored double of what Auba has.

That’s what I will do as well, I want to avoid hits with a decent bench but I will take a -4 on a good fixture and take a chance now I need to catch up.

I was resisting typing earlier knowing I'll jinx it but Vardy was gonna score at some point anyway. Still really happy that he didn't get much more than 1G and 1A over last 3 games given the plethora of managers camped on him and gave up their premium assets for him. Was really worried he would go crazy with some double digit hauls so as a non owner pretty lucky there.
Having said that, if you are not gonna captain De Bruyna against fecking Fulham playing at home then why do you even have him!
Easily. Remember at the start of the season how he had become 'essential' now that he had been classed as a mid. In comes Mikel Arteta.
Wilson has West Brom next. They will also have a DGW at some point. The only downside is Bruce Ball.
