Fantasy Football 2017/18

Look at Leicester's run in, fantastic fixtures. A defender and one of Mahrez/Vardy seems like a safe bet.

I'm just worried that they'll all "be on their hols" early with nothing to play for. Although I guess the likes of Vardy will be trying to impress for the World Cup.

Yeah it's depressing. We have guys like Pogba, Martial who should be pulling in huge hauls.

At least Lukaku was a great option for the first month, before mine and many other UTD fans reliance on him ruined our fpl seasons.

Liverpool, Spurs and City fans have an abundance to choose from.

Yeah, Valencia wasn't bad for a while either. Definitely no outfield set and forget players like the others have.

I'll double on United (maybe even triple if I can afford it) defensively for the dgw's and season run in.

De Gea obviously and I guess Valencia is still the most nailed defender. Probably take Jones too if he's fit by then but the cb's will no doubt be more prone to rotation. Bailly might be a good shout as he's had a decent rest out with injury.

Edit: Thinking about it more I might have to get Lukaku in there and build the team around a De Gea, Valencia, Kak spine. Our fixtures in the dgw's are West Ham (a), West Brom (h), Bmouth (a), Brighton (a).

I think the only single gw player I'll keep will be Salah, simply because he can outscore the doublers in 1 game.

City with 3 in the first half with no Sterling and KDB on 1 point. #ilovethisgame

I've also been thinking of tripling up on United, and Lukaku could be a huge asset in those fixtures.

How are we all tackling GW31? Specifically those with the FH chip available.

I'm not wasting a FH chip on that week. I'll play a team of 8/9 players and suck it up. Currently have Salah, Firmino, Robertson, Shaq, Walcott & Pickford. Will probably add a couple more (Stanislas and Mounie) and see what happens.

Free Hit is earmarked for GW35 where there will be better players to pick from that I won''t have loaded up on with my WC that I'll probably use in GW32 to set up for DGW34 & 37.

But aren’t you jeopardising GW 30 with that approach? City still have something to play for while Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea should all be looking at 3 points and clean sheets. This is the element that is causing me doubt - finding the right balance because the probability of maximising big points follows your logic but FF can screw it all over in a heartbeat.

Not really. It's all about striking a balance. My GW30 team will be

Pickford (Brighton)
Maguire (West Brom)
Davies (Bmouth)
Ottamendi (Stoke)
Salah (Man Utd)
Walcott (Brighton)
Sterling (Stoke)
Albrighton (West Brom)
Kane (Bmouth)
Vardy (West Brom)
Firmino (Man Utd)

Nowt wrong with that on paper.

I will captain Kane, but fear Pochettino might bench him before the Juventus-game. Llorente finally scored some goals, albeit against a crap team from League 1, if he was to ever start a PL-game this would be it. Huddersfield are wank and Spurs should beat them comfortably whilst resting perhaps Kane, Alli and Son. Don't think Eriksen will be rested as he is behind most of their attacking play. Playing the devil's advocate here of course, I think Kane will start and be subbed if they are 2-3 up at 60 minutes.

I'm going Salah.

edit - the weekly pick for captaincy genuinely gives me anxiety

I think Kane will be safe to start now that Llorente played midweek. Maybe get subbed after 60-70 if they lead. Huddersfield are not in bad shape.

Spurs are still chasing Chelsea for 4th, so don't think Poch will be going easy in the league.

I'd still go for Kane I think. As good as Salah is, Huddersfield are shite whereas Newcastle are super defensive in big games and Benitez will surely get his players amped up seen as Liverpool is his old club.

Think I'm going to make a knee jerk -4 transfer tomorrow morning. Get rid of Sterling for a Spurs mid, as the Spurs fixtures look tasty (Huddersfield then Bournemouth). Only worry is the Juve game in between, and how that might affect Poch's decisions.

Was always a tough choice for me, but now I just stick with Salah. He's scoring shit loads and gets more points for it.

Will Lingard and Sterling start this weekend? Have them both and don't really want to take them out atleast for another week.

team has gone to shit. This week I'll play

Pope

Chiwel Jones VVD Naughton

Salah Can Sanchez De Bruyne

Wilson Kane

Ayew first on the bench.

Gonna save 3 transfer so post GW31, I can get rid of Sanchez and upgrade Can, for Sane and Mahrez.

Dropped sterling. Was going to get Mkhitaryan but arsenal are a shadow of a team. They're probably all in therapy after getting hammered by city twice.

Went with Mahrez as Leicester have an easy run of games.

Not sure what to do with Sterling. Already have Mahrez and can’t afford Eriksen.

I'm keeping Sterling for now. He's dropped £0.2m but I'd still lose £0.5m by selling him. Pep said he might be back today anyway.

If I was selling him I'd bring in Sane or Arnautovic.

I've decided to keep Sterling too. I'm going to offload Monreal though. Probably for Robertson

Was so close to going Aguero / Sterling to Aubamayang / Eriksen

Wish I’d done it now actually, but let’s see.

fecking hell. I got in Bardsley and Taylor from Burnley using my WC to have guaranteed cheap starters. They haven't played a game since I got them

I don't know if getting any City players is worth it from now on with the league wrapped up and the latter stages of CL kicking in.

My favourite is seeing my measly points go even lower because someone conceded late on.

Just bought in Mahrez... Was about to post a rant but he scored last minute!

Can't wait for the BGW to finish so I can kick that useless cnut Walcott out of my team.
