Fantasy Football 2017/18

I'm just looking at GW30. My team could be in for a very rough gw. United play Liverpool, I've got three Liverpool players and three United players. They can't all get me points...
Only players I've currently got who have reasonable fixtures that gw are Kane (away to B'mouth), Sterling (away to Stoke) and Walcott (home to Brighton)....

My midfield is Salah-Sterling-Walcott-Shaqiri-Albrighton, 1FT and 1.3 in the bank.

Walcott->Son, does it make any sense?

Foster (home vs huddersfield) or
Pope (home vs southampton)

which one for keeper. I'm struggling to make a decision.

Not sure. Will Lucas mean Son might share some game time?

Foster maybe

Why is everyone so worried about GW 31? I'm just going to use my free-hit card. Others want to hold off on it or already used it?

Probably makes more sense to use it in gw35, according to the FPL experts.

I think it's because there are only 4 games that will go ahead in GW 31, 8 teams and no stand out fixtures other than Liverpool v Watford. The rest could all be dull affairs with not a lot of points on offer.

GW 35 will only be missing the FA Cup Semi Final teams and their opponents in the PL (Potentially 4 PL teams in the semi so United, Chelsea, Leicester, Southampton, Brighton, Bournemouth may all have a blank week). Some nice fixtures in that week, Arsenal vs Newcastle, Newcastle vs Everton, West Brom vs Liverpool, Man City vs Swansea (if they don't get through).

Obviously it could all go wrong and the dull affairs in GW31 turn out to be massive games with huge points.

I don't think anyone is worried about GW31 are they? Load of rubbish teams playing and everyone will be in the same boat for players. FH is a waste imo. You'd be better using it in 35 or one of the dgw's.

I've only just noticed the absolute state of City's upcoming fixtures:
28 - Arsenal (A)
29 - Chelsea (H)
30 - Stoke (A)
31 - Free week
32 - Everton (A)
33 - Us at Old Trafford
34 - Spurs (A)

And then an easy run for the remaining 5 games. I'm half considering taking Sterling out given he's also an injury concern. Just me?

I have Jones in my team. I knew that he was going to drop in value. But taking him out would have cost me 4 points. In the end, I just decided to let him stay. This got me thinking, which is better? To take a 4-point hit or a 0.1 value drop?

My first year in FPL - but how does a gameweek like gameweek 31 usually affect prices?

I have Kane, Sterling, Aguero for instance - how much will their price drop when everyone suddenly uses their sub-all-you-want for a week wildard?

Chips are not supposed to have any effect on transfer value, including wildcard and free hit.

I'm considering it yeah but I'd lose so much money on him. City can score against anyone. Also I have a feeling they want to wrap up the league early and then rotate the squad.

I'd rather lose Aguero than Sterling with Jesus coming back into the fold though.

I'm on that wagon too. Sterling just seems more reliable than a lot of other midfield options. Pep's darling too.

If it helps, I have already taken out Otamendi, my only remaining City player. I have enough ITB to bring in either KdB or Sané, but I am not sure how either will hold up in the current run.

Who did you bring in for Otamendi?

I've got him, KDB and Sterling. Not a bad idea taking him out instead of Sterling given the upcoming fixtures.

Just took another 12 point hit. I can’t stop.

Help.

Wondering whether to take a good few point hits during the blank/double gw run, as I don't have the wildcard/freehit chips? Could pay off.

I'm gonna take him out for Mane for the blank gw anyway. Then maybe Mane for someone playing in the double gw.

Jesus Christ Burnley. 90th min, really? I'll have a second Burnley defender coming on for crock 'ed Jones as well.

Mate, I had Mee and Dunk both cruising towards clean sheets.

Then Lewis Dunk scores his 4th fecking own goal of the season and Burnely concede in the 90th minute. Fecks sake.

At least Salah delivered but I reckon 70% of players will have also captained him.

Christ. Just can't seem to get a clean sheet in this game at the moment.

Got the exact funds to do Aguero and Wilson for Firmino and Vardy. feck gw31. Will monitor the prices but with next weeks fixtures I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on that.

So annoyed that Salah got a goal and assist yet no bonus points!

Hes saved my team this week once again. Walcott would been axed but need him for the BGW.

Still have Courtois, Kane, Smelling, Pogba, Sterling, Monreal and Aguero to play, but I expect not much from any bar Kane.

Yeah, all having Salah does is make sure you don't fall too far behind when everyone else in your team fecks up.

Think you have to get in Firmino, he's been great.

Done. Can't resist an early knee jerk transfer or two. GW29 team...

Pickford Burnley (a)
Maguire Bmouth (h)
Davies Hudds (h)
Robertson Newcastle (h)
Salah Newcastle (h)
Sterling Chelsea (h)
Shaqiri Soton (a)
Albrighton Bmouth (h)
Kane Hudds (h)
Firmino Newcastle (h)
Vardy Bmouth (h)

Subs: Elliott, Walcott, Ottamedi, Shaw

Going all in on Liverpool and Leicester. Captain Kane or Salah obvs.

Don't know how you can justify Firmino.

1 Liverpool player in Salah is enough. I have Van DyK as well which is hard to stomach.

Hopefully they can turn to shit soon. Thinking about ditching Jones and Sanchez and going United free which is really really really sad.

Is the Spurs game vs Newcastle in gameweek 31 delayed if they go through in the FA Cup tie against Rochdale midweek? Or is it confirmed (Its due to play on a friday, so thought something must be up here)

You should probably triple up if you can. Firmino, Salah and VVD is what most people seem to be leaning towards (and it's what I've got).

If Spurs beat Rochdale then their game vs Newcastle will be rescheduled

Says a lot that you can't really justify any player for us other than DDG, yet again. Jones has had a bit of a haul but typically out for half the season.

Yeah it's depressing. We have guys like Pogba, Martial who should be pulling in huge hauls.

At least Lukaku was a great option for the first month, before mine and many other UTD fans reliance on him ruined our fpl seasons.

Liverpool, Spurs and City fans have an abundance to choose from.

Look at Leicester's run in, fantastic fixtures. A defender and one of Mahrez/Vardy seems like a safe bet.
