I should play it smart and only buy players that play in GW31, but no City cover will kill me.

Took a massive and stupid punt this week by putting my faith in Everton players but maybe not that stupid since I got rid of two players that won't play the next 2 GWs. The punt I took was on Holgate. He's been on the bench for the last few games and with Williams banned for 3 matches he might come good with some points against Brighton (H) and Stoke (A) but probably not against City (H).
Sold Sterling for similar reasons. He won't play. Thought about getting B. Silva in return but with the BGW coming up I took a punt on Gylfi. He's Everton's best attacker by quite a margin but I honestly don't expect much with Allardyce at the helm. He was their best player against Burnley but he still, for some reason, took him off when they went behind.

Going for Burnley keeper and defender and another of their's on the bench who will come on if Sterling doesn't play. Taking a gamble for a potential nice bump in points.
Damn, what's with GW31? Surely they could've had a double gameweek instead of the odd 4-match gameweek, those with the Free Hit left will benefit hugely.

Really tough captaincy pick this week - going for Aguero over Kane but if Kane explodes that could cost me.
When you play the free hit chip, does it work like a wild card in the way you can continually make transfers all week or is it a one and done situation ie played today and can’t tweak next Friday?

And I have to say, I think that's essentially a flaw in the game.
If you make the transfers and they're saved, I think you should then be able to play the 'free hit' and then revert back to that saved team.
Mass Kane exodus incoming. Assume most will move onto Kak or Auba. IllI probably end up getting both after the next gw.
Yeah it definitely does not. The free hit wipes out anything saved prior in the same gameweek. If you follow that approach then you will lose your 2 transfers for the gameweek after also.
I agree, and for this reason:
I'll be using my free hit, but by the sounds of things there's no way I can avoid the Kane value drop due to using it.
