Fantasy Football 2017/18

Played my WC and here's my team. Suggestions welcome

DDG
Otamendi Ogbonna Taylor
Ramsey Sterling Pogba Salah
Ayew Lukaku Aguero

Subs: Elliot Monreal Simpson Romeu

1.5m in bank

I would ditch Ogbonna, West Ham are terrible at keeping clean sheets and he doesn't score or assist. 9 games since a CS - and they have played seven of the bottom teams during that run. I'd also stay away from Monreal and Ramsey until they are done with Spurs and City the next two weeks, then all in for Arsenal. Pogba to Martial if possible? Sterling and Salah are undisputed picks. Perhaps ditch Ayew and trade up for a 5th midfielder like Milivojevic or someone who plays an can score goals? Milivojevic takes penalties and they get a few of them. Ayew is a patchy striker to say the least, I think he's done for now.

I would also trade Lukaku, the guy only has 12 goals this season and that is way too low to spend so much on him.

Nice team, assuming Monreal will usually start Ogbonna/Taylor. Can't really see much too upgrade, Lukaku is a bit of gamble but could be a very good move as his % ownership is only 20% compared to Aguero(29%), Firmino (39%), Kane (44%).
Yeah, Monreal is on the bench only for this week. Didn't want Firmino + Salah as Pool are a bit inconsistent. Kane's price is dropping so had to remove him.
Plus have a gut feeling that Rom will score a couple against Newcastle

Why would you drop Kane due to his price falling? The guy scores....

The reason I picked Ogbonna was because none of the teams apart from us, Spurs and Burnley are getting clean sheets. Spurs have a horrible schedule and I already have one from Burnley and us.
Other points are valid and I'll try to upgrade the Arsenal guys for the next 2 GWs

Kane was due for a fall when I dropped him and hence giving me extra 0.1m. Although I feel he'll score against Arsenal (he always does), I had a feeling Rom will outscore him this week

Anyone having a soft spot and picking Evra?!
Even if he does get into the team (I'd be very surprised if he immediately replaces Cresswell), West Ham are shite defensively. Christ knows why I've held onto Ogbonna for so long.

Just had a look at my team and the fixtures guaranteed to go ahead on GW 31 ( Liverpool vs Watford & Everton Vs Stoke)...I have two player currently.

My picks for the FA cup games

Leicester city v Sheff Utd
Chelsea v Hull City
Sheff Wed v Swansea
West Brom v Southampton
Brighton
v Coventry
Huddersfield v Man Utd
Tottenham
v Rochdale
Man City v Wigan

so following GW 31 fixtures would be moved

Spurs 20:00 Newcastle
Burnley 12:30 Chelsea
Bournemouth 15:00 West Brom
Huddersfield 15:00 Crystal Palace
Leicester 15:00 Arsenal
Stoke 15:00 Everton
Swansea 15:00 Southampton
Liverpool 17:30 Watford
West Ham 13:30 Man Utd

Man City 16:00 Brighton

Same. I got him in ages ago and think I played him once. Ditched him for Robertson this week.

So who people Captain this week? I've gone for Salah but not sure if he'd play 90 with a champions league match on the horizon...

Other options for me are: Aguero, Kane, Sterling, Pogba & Walcott...

Same dilemma. Currently have salah but tempted to put kane or kdb or sterling.

You could say that about any of the obvious captain picks. Gonna stick with Aguero personally. Think they might smash Leicester.

Tempted to gamble a bit and go Hazard. He blows so hot and cold it’s insane, but he has a great fixture and when he’s on form he has a tendency to grab a double digit haul.

My team currently:

Fabianski
Jones - Rudiger - Otamendi
Pogba - Salah - Hazard - Doucoure
J. Ayew - Firmino - Kane

Elliott - Naughton - K. Long - Ibe

Swansea - Burnley can be a potential 0-0 and Ibe is playing against Huddesfield. Does it make sense to play the bench boost now or still save it for the Double GW? Unsure if the bench players would have such favourable matches later on.

I have a Hazard and Rudiger and I am keeping them this week for the exact same reason. After that, they play City and United so it's an easy decision to ship both out.

Anyone going to try and go with Auba, or will I just be on my own?
Might put him and Miki in.

I will stay away from Auba the next two games, but then the CL kicks in and Aguero might be rested in several games in the league as it's already won. Auba in - Aguero out, should be pretty similar haul with 1M extra in the bag.

Yeah defo worth looking at Arsenal after the next couple of games. Start to move away from City when Jesus comes back and they get closer to wrapping up the league.

I Would wait for the dgw personally but it's entirely down to luck. You could downgrade Hazard after this week and significantly improve that bench too before the first one.

I think I'm selling Doucoure for Dyer now so I can afford to make Otamendi & DCL -> Lowton & Giroud.

With Morata possibly out for the season then Giroud might be the way back to 4-4-2

My team would then look like this:

DDG

Lowton-Azpilicueta-Shaw-Robertson

Sterling-Pogba-De Bruyne-Salah

Kane-Giroud

Bench: Elliot, Mariappa, Dyer, Ayew

Salah or Sanchez as captain.

I want to have faith in Alexis. But I have this sinking feeling that we are going to have one of our frustrating blunt games vs Newcastle

I was thinking about Salah but Aguero at home v Leicester offers better odds I feel

I have the same dilemma. Currently have Sanchez as my captain too and hoping that it will be the differential considering that most will probably go for Salah but it can backfire too. Let's hope he will be our new "Rooney vs Newcastle performer".

Went for Sanchez(c) in hope rather than expectation. Salah is obviously the best choice.

Captain Aguero for me, was either him or Auba, went for the former.

Kane, as my enemies in a cash league don't have him, and I can see Arsenal being very open today, and quite likely having someone sent off. Actually I think I'll nip off and have a look at the odds for that.
