Fantasy Football 2017/18

I should've known better than to triple captain a United player

Oh yes. This Lukaku treble captain looked a good idea pre kick off, with a less than strong bench for the bench boost.

Instead, Kane in 37 now looks a worry!

Forget about Kane. He will get 15 points MAX over gw37. Big deal. He's going to blank for me this week, after I tore up my FH to get him in after he made himself available from injury. Most expensive player in the game, not justified at all. Aguero will be the one to have in 37.

Can't believe Bailey not in the squad. So 'the ice man' comes in, and is competing with Smalling for bambi on ice. Infuriating. These things never go my way. Never.

Think Kane is a great shout for TC on 37. If history is anything to go by, he'll smash it. By then spurs will probably have 4th spot and their sole purpose will be to get him that golden boot.

It was always the player and week to use it.
I thought I knew best in going Lukaku this week instead.

Went that way as didn't think my bench was up to much for the bench boost.
Will make every transfer between now and 37 about having doublers for that week.

Another horrendous looking week on the cards. On 34 pts at the moment with another round of games to go. I now think doubling that total is optimistic.

Activated free hit last night and have this in place as a preliminary side...

Pope
Van Djik / Baines / Tomkins
Salah / Mane / Zaha / De Bruyne / Sterling
Aubameyang / Jesus
subs: Nordfelt / Perez / Long / Dummett

Of course Liverpool might well rotate (have avoided Arsenal for similar reasons) and who knows what side Pep will play now that City have won the league. Kind of hoping they wanna go out with a bang and have nothing left to play for so he'll put his strongest side out at home and thump Swansea.

Top tip for this week if you're on FH - there's a twitter account called Anfield Express who's been leaking the Liverpool line ups a day early a lot of the time and it looks like he's never been wrong. Keep an eye on it later in the week to get the drop on any Klopp rotation and adjust accordingly.

@CassiusClaymore
I'm using FH this week as well, when you play it I'm assuming it's like a wildcard and you can make unlimited changes until deadline?

Yeah when it comes to the confirm transfers bit it'll ask if you want to use free hit. After you've saved that first draft you can tit about with it all week up until the deadline.

Using the free hit this week has so far been a huge mistake.

Nearly all the players I took out smashed it and the players I got in have done sweet feck all (except Eriksenn and Long).

Mad aint it. All I scored from this weekend was a Vardy goal and a couple of assists from Alonso and Willian. The rest was just appearance points.

If I'd done bench boost instead of triple captain I'd have 22 more points right now.

This game is bullshit sometimes. I have Davies who hasn't played yet and a Huddersfield defender on the bench with 8 points...guarantee that Davies will come in against Brighton and concede or something for 1 point.

A guy in my league just overtook me using his bench boost, not a single player on his bench is even playing twice! He's not even trying.

Davies did play on Saturday, just scored zero.

Very underwhelming double gameweek so far. Sanchez captain gamble has not paid off, I am pretty sure he will be dropped on Wednesday now too

Took out Hazard/Salah and Auba to accommodate Kane/Sanchez and Arnautovic. Thanks Spurs/Utd.

If Lukaku that donkey put away his chances and didn't let Rodriguez score, I would have had a good round. fecking eedjit.

I have DDG, Smalling and Lukaku as Captain. Why did I put my faith in united? :(

 even worse. Well atleast I know for sure that my bench player doesn't stand a chance.

But only one player from your bench can be used? so if those four players were rested only the first player on your bench would come into the team

This is incorrect, right?
Can anyone confirm that 2/3 auto subs is possible, as long as the formation is still a valid one?

Can everyone who has Rom captained, and who understands how FF really works, please agree that there is no way, at all, that he'll come through with a much due big score against Bournemouth...

There's no way that will happen, right? And we all know as much. And there's no way, at all, that we'll be wrong.

Last season he would score hatricks and huge double digit FF points, but that will not happen against Bournemouth.

Could everyone who agrees with me please let it be known...

Thanks!

In that case I'll have Long, Lascelles and Milivojevic to cover Mustafi, Robertson and Salah, who I think are most likely to be rested.

Actually a smart idea this gameweek. So much potential for rotation from Liverpool/Arsenal/City that it might well be essential.

And thinking along those same lines it might not be too clever to stack from them in favour of form players like Zaha, Arnie & Perez.

Thanks!

Sorry mate, genuinely thought only one player could come off your bench...

My free hit team is looking like this:

Pope; Baines, Monreal, Roberston, Tomkins; Zaha, Sterling, KDB, Salah; Auba, Jesus.
Bench: Hennessey, Lowton, Kenedy, Barnes.

But this will change I'm sure. For example, it might be wiser to get in one of the Silvas (man city) instead of KDB and put in Mane for one of the defenders. Arsenal defenders do seem pointless currently.

My FH team looks currently like this:

Pickford
Laporte - Robertson - Baines (Long/Monreal)
Salah - Mane - Gundogan - Zaha (Arnautovic)
Jesus - Auba - Tosun

Freehitting too this gw. Waiting for press-conferences but:

Pope (Heaton as backup)
Baines - Coleman - Arnold - Walker
Zaha - Sterling (C) - Salah - Mane - De Bruyne
Aubameyang (VC)

Subs in order used: Tosun, Lowton, Campbell

Why's:
- Everton have been strong at home this season: 9-3-5. They may not clean-sheet, but Baines / Coleman could provide something as a backup
- Arnold has been on fire the last two games. If he's not saved, he's a great attacking asset.
- Walker is more assured to start than Jesus.
- Crap/unsafe attacking options this week.

Edit: I might switch in Jesus for De Bruyne if Pep gives a hint that Aguero is still out

Great tip! He's not posting them for every weekend it seems, so it could also mean he's just deleting some wrong-guesses, but he seems spot on - got a lot of specific players like Ings correct, so it seems legit.

I see you're not entirely familiar as to how this game actually works my friend!

After Rom and de Gea both definitely blank against Bournemouth, let it be a lesson to you and your green smileys.
Haha no I see exactly what you're doing. I have Lukaku (c) Smelling and DDG...

Alli rested. fecking free hit waste of time. I've been burnt by Alli multiple times this season

For this to be a good gameweek I need Gross and Vertonghen (5x Son assists) to both get a hattrick. Ryan to save a couple penalties too.

Next time I will not use free hit on a double game week. Completely useless with players being rested.

Alonso to be banned, Alli rested, Pogba probably dropped. I had Long and Wood goals on Saturday and I thought this was going to be a great FH DGW but since then the wheels have fell off, everything has gone wrong. Annoying.
