Falcao

He's pulled up with a slight injury.

I am surprised Chelsea didn't go for him, but I suppose they're happy with Ba  How time has changed...

Falcao is immense and loyal. It would shock me to see him at Real.

City may want to drop Dz and move in for him in the summer. Can't see many more teams outside of PSG who can afford him. Juve could but they're after Llorente. Inter and AC are no longer big spenders. The Germans never have been. Arsenal aren't. He wouldn't go to Liverpool. Spurs would have to sell a bunch before they could afford him, albeit he would be perfect for Spurs and would fit into their style well as they emulate Porto a bit.

Not sure if I'd call him paranoid. By all means he seemed a very down to earth person during his time here. I think he even studied Journalism in University (or intended to) before going full-time footballer. Perhaps why he "angrily" denies what he regards as terrible examples of his second-choice profession.

His conviction that everything is a lie is a clear hallmark of paranoid schizophrenia. He's a damn fine footballer, that's for sure, but he needs to address his mental health issues before even thinking about moving to a big club.

Aren't you on the wrong place Adam?

Marca have a headline on their front page tomorrow that Falcao is on his way to United for 55 million Euros. They say negotiations between the clubs are well advanced.

On their tiwtter page they have an image of the front page.

Sounds like bollocks. But who knows. Falcao and Ronaldo. No midfielders. Stranger things have happened.

Although I love Falcao and think he is along with RVP and Ibra the best striker in the world, this is a player we definitely don't need. People always say you can never have too many world class players, but what's the point if they all play in the same position? Unless Sir Alex plans on converting Rooney to a proper center mid, pushing Van Persie back and playing Falcao up top?
Regardless, it's probably not true, but just imagine...
Falcao
Kagawa RVP Nani
Rooney Carrick

Well, I'm convinced. Any manager that can't get Rooney, Van Persie, Falcao and Kagawa into the same team, isn't worth his salt.

So Cavani, Lewandowski, Falcao, RvP, Rooney and Ronaldo next season all in the same team? Sounds like an FM-muppets wet dream.

I say back to the roots let's play 2-3-5 next season:

De Gea
Rio - Vidic
Rooney - Carrick - Kagawa
Ronaldo - Cavani - Leandowski - Falcao - RvP

We will just overrun every opponent and if the game has to end 10-9 so be it.

Weird, in all honesty if this was to go ahead then it would be curtains for 1 of the current crop and more than likely Danny Welbeck or Hernandez. Wouldn't really see Fergie selling Rooney unless it was to fund this move.

feck I'd be gutted if Wayne was sold.

Well, well it's not like Marca is linking all the big teams with practically all players, wouldn't count on them having any insight that other magazines haven't had so far.

If Marca says we're signing Falcao, we're definitely not signing Falcao.

We already have 10 strikers, can we sign a couple of midfielders please!

Midfielder are overrated. Lets just field 5 strikers and lump it up to them all game to do something with

Yep, if this is true (unlikely) i can see Rooney and Hernandez being sold to finance the deal.

Welbeck's clearly gong to be turned into a winger.

Falcao, van Persie, Rooney & Hernandez as our four strikers.

As long as we also invest in our midfield, I'd gladly take Falcao.

 We are signing Falcao? It doesnt get any better than this. I cant wait for the summer to read more comedy.

What are the chances this of being another Hazard, Moura, Benzema, Torres, list goes on and on.

We do like a bit of window shopping the big top talent.

Rooney, Hernandez, Lewandovski, Van Persie, Welbeck and Falcao as strikers.

Nani, Giggs, Young, Valencia, Kagawa, Rodriguez and Zaha as wingers.

I think that we need some other signings in those departments.

The Caf would meltdown if we actually signed Falcao, people wouldn't know how to feel. It's most definitely not happening, which probably means it could happen.

Would love to sign Falcao, I wouldn't cry that we have too many strikers already, I would see it as a world class player joining our ranks. My only concern would be for our younger talents like Hernandez and Welbeck and how it would affect their playing time, however SAF seem's to be grooming Danny to be a winger anyway

In all seriousness, don't think it would ever happen but would welcome a player with his talent here.

At this point I wouldn't care if we signed 11 Bebes, just as long as a midfielder arrives.

Here we go again. It's like a deja vu. Everyone said the same before buying RVP, what it showed was that SAF doesn't trust either of those for a full season and needs a more consistent goal scorer. Even if it does hamper the progress of one of them, more likely it will be Hernandez, it will be better for the team.

I could only see us going for someone of this calibre if we sell Rooney. We won't fork out for him as a replacement for Welbeck or Hernandez, I can't see that.

What happened to those stats posted the other day? Said that he lost the ball more than any other player at any top team or something.

How many more strikers do we buy before that sentiment rings true? It's striker saturation. We're not getting Falcao anyway

At what point did I say it wouldn't? Think you may have taken that out of context unfortunately, as my comment was more on a personal level in regards to Welbeck and Chicarito, I would like them to stay, however as you see I ended my post by saying 'but would welcome a player with his talent here', meaning bottom line, he can only be a positive. I appreciate there are a lot of people here spouting crap, but I made that comment as I have a particular liking for both of these players...

So do I, naturally. Who doesn't like a player coming through the club ranks and establishing as a regular and contributing in success. But then I have moved past that concern, as I don't think we can afford the luxury of giving plenty of time to a young player who tends to show inconsistency, particularly in terms of goalscoring when he's meant to be a forward. It is sort of same with Clev as well. Plus I don't think it will affect both Danny and Hernandez, like we saw after the arrival of RVP. Sir Alex knows better than anyone else on how to rotate four forwards, it is safe to say that Hernandez would be no more than a sub, Danny can still get plenty of time. Or not, depending on how he develops. There has to be a limit of time till which we can continue playing a forward whose known for his work rate more than anything else.

Yea well it is, I don't think we are getting him either. My point was that I'd sacrifice playing time for Danny or Hernandez if that means having a forward like Falcao (in form, which has sort of cooled of in the second half of the season).

Definitely, but if we draw the line too far, there is always the worry that we will turn City esque, where they buy their team. They are copying SAF's way and implementing much better youth facilities, hence I think they will (over the next 5-10 years) start to develop much stronger kids as well, so it is important, but fully agree with your stance. Our no1. worry is Manchester United, not Danny, Javier or anyone else, and who is currently better? Falcao/Javier/Welbeck, there isn't much of a question IMO...

I suppose I more mean to say, I HOPE Danny and co don't see it as they are not in our future I suppose, because I do much prefer a young lad coming through the ranks than a £50 million superstar, I think any football fan would agree. However City and Chelsea with their spending over the last 5+ years have really forced our hand somewhat IMO to move slightly further away from giving the younger players time (Not that we don't, but not as much as we used to IMO), but again as you say, its not a bad thing, just the level of what is needed has risen so much recently I think...

I really doubt about Rooney being sold. Sir Alex went through the trouble of convincing him to stay after the whole ambition gate and offered him a mighty wage, so there is a really low chance that he will let him go when he'd fetch less than he would have then.

Yep, here it is

Hope not.

Where does this shit come from? Can they genuinely wake up and decide to write X, Y and Z and still get people to listen to them? Surely it has to go through some consensus to check the validity or am I living in a dream world?
