Prepare the Exploding Kneejerk thread!

"My dream has always been to play for Barca and nothing has changed. I'm very very happy here and I never thought about leaving"

Summary:

Fabregas: "I'm Happy in Barcelona. Never have thought to go...never I thought of something else to follow...I want to succeed here."

Shouldn't most footballers be glory hunters?

Barcelona's model has been to achieve glory, hunting together...not searching out a greener pasture.

Isn't it okay to be a gloryhunter if your a professional footballer? Most players have around 15 years max at the top level. You can't blame anyone for wanting to achieve as much as possible during such a limited time.
Impatience, money & fear of those ahead of you leads you to run off to London. Then you witness success & glory going on from where you left which leads you to want to return & triumph there...only to find out you aren't good enough to start. And instead of returning to the club he claimed was the only ever one he'd consider playing for other than Barcelona, he flirts with United. There's nothing about that story that describes a winner much less a footballer with a champion pedigree

We've basically been played by the Cesc camp to strengthen his position at Barca. A lot of Caftards said this from day 1. Amazingly the club fell for it.

Oh its over! He is happy, he wants to stay and butt feck Barcelona until he is retired. Its off, it was never on.

But rejoice, it is Ronaldo day! To the Ronaldo thread!!

And so, the dragon spread his wings and ascended into the sky.

The young prince, the young prince had to find himself a new dragon to tame.

Why the feck would we bid (twice) for a player who doesn't want to leave and his club doesn't want to sell? This is bizarre.

Anyone with half a brain could've told you that, that's why it beggars belief that the club were trying to get him, especially for such a low amount.

Bollocks. Anyone who thinks United never had encouragement from Fabregas' agent is full of shit. Nobody makes bids without the OK from the player.

Not that I disagree that it's probably off but what do you expect him to say at a Barca press conference? That he wants to leave? They wouldn't put him in the press conference if he was going to say that so of course he has said what he's said.

If we went in again, it's because Fabregas is attainable despite his claims in the press. Not because we're naive idiots.

Ronaldo was very happy playing for Madrid last night. Pointing at the badge etc...

I barely even enter the ronnie thread as that is one transfer that ain't gonna happen.

Sorry sparky

In reality it was never on. Fabregas' agent was just using United. But what could United do? They can't read minds.

It seemed fairly obvious to just about everyone that this was a completely impossible transfer though. I'm not quite sure how the club could "fall for it", or whatever.

I don't believe Cesc for a second. He wanted to sign for us, but has been told there's no way Barca will sell this summer.

I never said we didn't have encouragement from his agent.

Funny thing about agents, they tend to want more money for their players.

Sorry? Why? Did you do something? Stop trying to ruin Ronaldo day!

He simply would not be sent out to do a conference if there was a doubt.

If Fabregas' agent said the player was interested, and United never tried to bid, then people on here would be going apeshit at them.
