Fabregas to Barcelona!

Jesus, that'll go down well at the Emirates - Cesc kissing the Barca badge on his shirt.

On a different note the Premiership has just lost another great player.

Eboue is also leaving Arsenal. A bigger loss than Fabregas to Arsenal.

If your argument is that the reduced fee is representative of the transfer market 'righting' itself then I'd have to disagree.

I know that wasn't the intention but it might have some spur on future fees. It may be a little more of, "if Fabregas is 35M then so and so is only 20.." instead of these medicore players like Downing, Henderson and Carroll being used as examples of player values

Him kissing the badge shouldn't bother anyone, he's been crying about Barca for close to 3 seasons now...

But this is not on
Cesc: "I waited many days, months, years for this moment. I return home after 8 years."

He makes it sound like he was in prison.

Also
Wenger, 12/7/11: "Imagine the worst situation, that we lose Nasri and Fabregas, you cannot convince people you are ambitious after that."

:lol::lol:

Ignore the Carroll price or the Downing price or any of that. Fabregas is £45m+ in ANY market, yet alone a current inflated one.

Our hands weren't tied in the sense that Ronaldo outlined 700 clubs he wanted to transfer too? Or did he make it clear from the very start there was only one other club he would transfer too, pretty much exactly the same as Fabregas.

It doesn't really work as an excuse.

Ronaldo made sure we got as much for him as possible, and he signed a contract that had a 80 million trigger, which Real activated. Fair fecks to him

The 2 situations aren't comparable.

There was no clause in Ronaldo's contract.

I admire the cameraman's intention to zoom out and show the FC Barcelona text above them, just to clarify what club he was signing for.

Well done, you.

He's cheesing so much, I've never seen the lad so happy! hahahaha.

You looking maad happy Boss

There was no clause in Ronaldo's contract.

Still, Ronaldo acted professionally throughout. If he acted like Fabregas, we would be in the same predicament. I can't find fault with Arsenal in this scenario, just common sense.

Err what?
He acted exactly like Fabregas. What are you talking about?

13.08: This is brilliant! They are playing a Cesc video montage, backed by Every Breath You Take by the Police! Shameless!

Every move you make/ Every bond you break / Every step you take / I'll be watching you

Every single day / Every word you say / Every game you play (!) / Every night you stay / I'll be watching you

Oh can't you see / You belong to me / How my poor heart aches / With every step you take

Wow. Just...wow. That level of HAS to contradict tapping up regulations, surely? They've just admitted STALKING!

Someone pass the sick bucket...

Did he arrive in an Arsenal tracksuit?

Apparently it took so long for Fabregas to sign for Barca because he was in dicussion whether or not to sign with Arsenal.

Good job Sky cutting him off right in the middle of his fecking interview.

The feck are you talking about?

I don't think you can really say Ronaldo acted professionally whilst sorting his move to Madrid. He acted like a prize cock. Since he left he's acted professionally, granted, but not during the saga.

The feck are you talking about?

How on earth has Ronaldo acted any differently from Fabregas. Both of them wanted a move and were quite vocal, both of them stayed for one year due to their manager's wish and both of them in the end got the move they wanted.

Honestly, there's no fecking Ronaldo has acted any better from Fabregas.

Wow. What a squad of players Barca have.

But as we have learned many many times before, squad quality doesn't count. Results on the pitch do..

By the way, did I hear it right?? Barcelona paid 29 million euros for him???? + 5-6 million euros IF he wins trophies...etc.???

May be Arsenal should have let him go last year..

Ungrateful spanish cnut. Fits in well at Barcelona.

Why does every player being shown off to the media/fans control the ball like that? How often do you see a player do it during a game?

I do it all the time.
Then again, I'm awesome.
