Fabregas to Barcelona!

Not really comparable is it? In a normal transfer no we'd pay the £5M and we're not going to.

You have to be taking the piss, you wouldn't have to pay it if you'd told them to feck off with their 35million offer either would you? If your board had had some balls, insisted on a minimum of 40million (lets face it he's worth 50) and still not payed the 4million loyalty bonus.

Transfer equivalent to can a loss be a win right here.

"We wont have to pay his wages anymore.... get in, great business."

Storey is a deluded sad case with blinkered vision when it comes to Arsene Wenger and Arsenal and can not see that his small time little club is in a downward spiral and will be very lucky to hang on to 4th this season.

Well I dunno about you, mon petit chou, but I'm looking forward to the kick off

You're nothing if not predictable. You can spin almost anything so that in your head it is good for Arsenal, and the few things that you can't you turn the thread into something about Chelsea's money or one of United's players you don't rate. Top marks for consistency.

Ha s the Valdes quotes been put up yet? In short if not, he pretty much saying Cesc will be a Barca player within the next 24 hours.

Wenger this morning: "Nobody will be leaving"

Mere hours later Fabregas joins Barcelona.

Sky SPorts saying the deal is done now.

He will be presented as a Barca player tomorrow.

Wenger has lost it, why would you say that this morning. The club morale must be destroyed.

I honestly felt sorry for Wenger this morning, if that was Ferguson he would told them all to feck off before saying "let's put this to bed"

If Wenger really said no one will be sold in the morning and now he's on his way? Kind of strange and doesnt speak for him

A reporter asked him "do you expect Cesc and Nasri to leave?"

His reply:

"I expect nobody to leave," he said at the club's training ground.

"The best thing for us one day before the championship starts is not to focus on possible transfers.

"At the moment there is no news. If there is news I promise I will give it. I will decide what's best for the club.

"My personal feelings are not important. What is important is the club and how well we do.

"I have not been disappointed with their attitudes. They are professionals. I take nothing personally.

"The transfer speculation is disruptive but that is not an excuse."

he still basically told everyone he didn't think anyone was leaving, a blatant lie. Why say that when you know the deal will be confirmed hours later.

He just threw the reporter's wording back at him, with a wry smile on his face. Watch it.

I will admit to feeling a bit sorry for Wenger, he made both players what they are and both are fecking Arsenal over.....

Fabregas, I don't mind so much, he's given us 7/8 years and was always going to go home sometime. Nasri's a greedy little cnut who's given us half a season and screwed us over, he'll probably get the curse of Wenger on him and feck his career up.

Probably why he's pushing the highest contract possible....if he sticks around another year and drops back to his first season at Arsenal form, would probably struggle to get 100k a week.

Can't see Fabregas flopping. Won't be as influential as he has been for Arsenal obviously though, not straight away anyway.

Nasri had half an outstanding season and then seemed to think he was Maradonna. Asks for ridiculous wages. In a couple of years, I hope City find themselves in the same situation with him as they do right now with Adebayor/Jo etc.

Wenger's still had a decent career peter, he may still add to it yet.

Interesting: Arsenal hanging on for a deal. Im afraid the cellebrations from Barcelona were premature and that must have hurt Arsenal board
