Fabregas to Barcelona!

Okay, what have I missed? I'm guessing Pete have had his annual meltdown as Arsene once again clears the squad of his biggest stars and replaces them with 15 year old w(h)ingers? Also, at a push I'd say he's not to flustered about seeing Fabregas go, as they'll still "comfortably nick third place at least", I mean, just as they did this season WITH him in the team? Oh wait..

You obviously don't watch him enough. He's a warrior of gladiatorial prowess with gems for feet and an eye for erected netting. Quality stuff.

He's none of those things. Especially the erected thingy. Billong is a lad with limited vision, limited passing, but he's good at breaking up play and he's a very good dribbler.

He's a bit like Fletch but without the class and a daft name.

Diarra's a midtable player - a bit like Fletcher. Adebayor was a flop at RM which is why he's being moved on. Toure is fecked, poor lad can't jump which is a problem for a CB.

It'll be worse again now he's off the diet pills.

Lass is as good as Billiong, if not better.

You forget he was Real's player of the year in 2008 after only signing in January. Billong isn't talented enough to pull of such a feat.

Edit, I'm slightly drunk, we are still comparing Billong right?

I though Bale and Parker had killed off any lingering cred for POTTYs. Billong is a very good player, Diarra belongs at Portsmouth.

Put it this way.

Diarra is better at breaking up play than Billong, a better dribbler and he tackles better. He has more stamina and is faster.

Billong is younger, but then again I heard he's not really that age.

The same Darren Fletcher who has 4 Premier League Medals, an FA Cup, 2 League Cups, a Champions League and a World Club Cup to his name whilst making nearly 300 appearances?

I'd suggest you need a few more mid table players in your sqaud. While Fletcher might never be a World Class player, I'd rather have him here for his career of being a very good squad player than have some potential world beater, who will leave by the time he is 24 and before he has realised any of his potential, taking his squad place.

Poor compared to Phil Neville, Wes Brown or John O'Shea.

But nothing to do with his actual ability. See above.

But his attitude, application and mental strength is an example to the younger players. He knows what is needed to win and to never give up, that rubs off on the youngsters and if they mature with that attitude, the attitude that rubbed off Keane onto him, then we're in good shape for years to come.

It's probably an alien concept to an Arsenal fan but technical ability will only ever get you so far. Look at a player like Ballotelli, he has more talent in his right eyebrow than Gary Neville ever had in his whole body, but I know who's career will be looked back on as the most successful in 20 years time.

Song actually has a brain, unlike Diarra.

Diarra charges round like a rabbit on steroids, tackling anything that moves. Without thinking.

It's actually possible to break up play well without being a quicker version of Lee Cattermole. Song has his faults but overall, I think he's more effective than Diarra.

So does Billong.

It's why I was laughing when Wenger was laying into Fletcher. The hypocrisy was amazing.

Well, no, Song doesn't (why are you calling him Billong, anyway? His surname is Song-Billong as he has a double-barreled surname which is uncommon but possible in France, and in most of these cases, they take the paternal surname - the first one - and in this case, it's "Song"), as he lacks the mobility. He's not great at playing between the lines. Song is a better passer and although his defensive midfield positioning isn't great, he's a fairly intelligent player who knows how to use the ball. Diarra knows how to get rid of it but not much else.

Song's excellent, underrated by pretty much everyone. Anderson's not rated by anyone except this forum.

And Song's not really rated by anyone except gooners. See, there's a pattern here...

You're criminally underrating Lass. He's actually technically gifted and is fantastic at beating players and dribbling in tight spaces. Billong's passing doesn't stand out so it can't be that much better.

Spot on. Song is clearly the bettet player of the two.

So long as he doesn't start believing his own hype, that is. When he got that silly haircut and decided he wanted to start scoring goals Arsenal looked very porous indeed. Good player when he puts his mind to it though.

Song is terribly naive and gives away a huge amount of dangerous free kicks. He is marginally better on the ball than Lass but I'd take Diarra because he does his job better.

Yeah thats right, SAF and the coaching staff at the biggest and most succesfull club in England think he is a shower of shit.....thats why he never plays and is being sold.....no....wait.....hang on....

I don't know which is the bigger joke, getting 35million for him or thinking he won't be missed because they have Song.

Arsenal fans in being deluded shocker.

I often get the impression that rival fans on here enjoy taking a pop at Anderson at the moment simply because they have absolutely nothing else to say to get one over us at this moment in time.
