FA Cup 2023/24

Please, please, please can Garnacho, Højlund and Rashford turn up against these lot on Sunday.

I swear I’ve never seen you say anything remotely positive or even neutral about Chelsea. It’s all whinging and moaning. Chelsea had probably the most entertaining game of the season.

The draw against City was sorta enjoyable. And the win against Spurs but that was mostly Spurs playing some stupid kamikaze ball.

Blame Poch. Or Boehly. Every time I try to give it a shit, mostly when nothing else is on, it is incredibly boring.

Would say get rid of Poch but you’d also need like 8 new players.

Kamara playing like Bad Fred on valium.

Almost every time they find space out wide Chelsea have nobody in the middle or just one option

People say this all the time but I could not disagree more. They have a decent collection of players. They will get better. But under a different better manager they can be dangerous

Well they cant possibly get worse

Depends on the goal I guess. My assumption is they want to win the PL and CL again and for that they need a new manager and basically an entire new starting eleven.

I guess an argument could be made that with the current team they can do better under a new manager but ‘better’ shouldn’t be that hard and still an uphill battle to get top 4 with these players.

We're playing alright but nothing fantastic. A bit annoyed we've played through and been fouled when beating their press and they for some reason seem immune to yellows for it.

The space villa leave between midfield and defence never mind in behind is incredible.
it works when the high press works but it’s a disaster if that breaks down

Kamara can't pass water tonight, probably his worst game in 18 months. In theory a midfield four of Kamara-Luiz-Tielemans with McGinn drifting to the left should work incredibly well but we've looked much better most of the season playing 4-4-2-2.

We also in these types of games take far too many touches around the box instead of just getting snap shots in and creating pressure that way.

Rare game where Chelsea have been pretty clinical, Jackson missed an easier header on Sunday.

Cheats!!

Where’s this formidable Villa at home? They haven’t turned up here, all Chelsea and in control.

Not in cups, we lost at home to Everton in the other one.

Also haven't won an FA cup tie at Villa Park since 2016 or something stupid.

Second half we need to give Pau Torres half an hour if he's up to it as there's just no organisation there with Carlos-Lenglet, no talking so that means players are just unmarked in centre of the box with good scoring opportunities and we've been punished.

Interesting first half. Think Chelsea have done well co-ordinating their press triggers and winning the midfield battle. Luiz and Kamara look lost.

Villa have been abysmal but I do think Chelsea have got a good plan tonight and are executing it well. Looks like a 4-4-2 out of possession and Villa have no answer to break through it.

On a side note;

1) Atmosphere is garbage.

2) Chelsea fans rowdy but ffs aren’t they boring? ‘Who are ya’, ‘your support is shit’, ‘he’s one of our own’.. their song book is painfully bad.

3) Why has Chilwell put a blob of ginger in his hair? Looks a mug.

Worst fans going. Just so crap. Every time.ive had the misfortune of going to the bridge it's been horrible.

Absolutely typical that Villa roll over for Chelsea and then will play like prime Barcelona on Sunday once they’ve had a bollocking.

This is pretty much Villas strongest side right? They look a bit flat, and will hopefully be knackered by Sunday.

It’s poor enough from Villa and then you have to remember it’s against a poor Chelsea side as well

Insane freekick. Martinez getting fingertips to it is credit to him. Couldn't have been placed better.
