FA Cup 2023/24

Keeping him on will not allow Chelsea get their act together. Under a more tactical astute manager Chelsea would have reached the FA Cup today and won the league cup final.

I don't know, man. Unless the tactics ensure Jackson repeatedly ends up in front of an empty goal with no one pressuring him, not sure what anyone else could've done better.

This is gonna turn out like last season. Us and city in the final. They’ll only be one winner. At least this time they won’t need to win it for the treble. If ETH can get us the FA cup then that would be 2 trophies in 2 years. Which shows under him we’re definitely a cup team. We need to improve in the league.

Surprised there isn’t a dedicated thread to the final.

Mainoo is ridiculous. I’m so glad England have produced a player of his profile with his level of talent.

He's not quite at Gallagher's level just yet, but we're very happy he's taken to senior football so well in his first season

They’re different players completely. They excel at different things. At Chelsea, Lavia is probably the closest we have to Mainoo’s profile.

Pep will be sitting down soon and drinking bottles of water and start talking to no one in particular waving his hands.

School boy error on first goal gifted Utd the game.

We should have beaten City in the semi, so only got ourselves to thank for 8th of August Conference League qualifying.

Man. United fully deserved that.

Man. City only did anything in last 20 minutes. They clocked off after winning the league and probably underestimated Man. United after last year's win.

Amrabat signed off with a decent performances. People talk about injuries but him playing LB instead of Reguillon in the first part of the season was a bit bizarre. Did what he needed to do today.

Surely ETH is back next season

His in-game struggles were on full display today, fully aware the players were gassed and not making proper changes when necessary. And going uber defensive at 66' when the side has shown all season they usually cave under pressure. It worked for them today but that's once in a blue moon (heh) for his tenure at United.

He's gone, imo. Just like LVG after the cup win.

We've had a shit season but put quite good performances in the FA Cup. We deserved that and also are going to Europa via it. Better than league route for me.

Really impressive performance from United. Tactically spot on and deserved their 2-0 lead. City looked off all game but United were really good.

Well done, you cnuts. Unlike most here, I'd actually rather have even our worst rivals win something than 115 continuing to ruin the game.
