F1 2024 Season

Is this confirmed? They have to make these cars smaller, I was at the Hungary race last year and was shocked by the overall size of the cars, they are far too big especially around Monaco

Yes, wheelbase will shorten slightly and become slightly narrower

One and only race I’ve been to is Silverstone and sat at Becketts. The thing that stood out to me which is hard to really appreciate on TV is how fast these cars are even through corners.

Its just incredible isn't it? It's only then you realise how skilled these drivers are!

100%. No time to actually react to much. You just have to be in sync with the car and it’s all on reflex. And really goes to explaining why a slight lack of confidence in the car can significantly impact performance.

Along with the consistency with which they attack the circuits, whilst under insane G forces.

I’ve been lucky enough to experience a taxi lap at the Nurburgring in essentially a race car BMW M3 with the driver not even particularly pushing the car and the G force was incredible, I can’t even fathom what these things feel like.

Woah the way Perez hits his head sideways when the car hits the wall, you’ve got to appreciate all the safety measures they’ve put on these cars.

Magnussen not apologizing but even saying he was not at fault is bonkers.

edit: FIA agrees with him is even more bonkers.

I was surprised they didn't bring him to clinic for a scan. Was very quickly walking around the paddock again.

No further investigation from the stewards

That's going to cost RedBull a fortune. Chassis is probably destroyed as well. That's a massive bill.

RedBull must be appealing, kmag needs penalty points for that.

Perez and Magnusson are both such absolute idiots. The sport will be better once they're both gone.

Perez was also at fault here, especially since he looked right and saw that he was there. Maybe he has the “right” of way. But it isn’t really a braking zone.
Both to blame in my opinion.

God I hate advert breaks.

Edit: turns out Sky Sports Main Event was switching to the football

It's a shit race. It's only on the calendar for glitz, glamour, celebrities etc. The only drama you can get is a massive crash.

Just when you thought Monaco couldn't get more boring
