Mercedes brought a new floor to Miami for both cars. Doesn't seem to have made the slightest bit of difference. As Anthony Davidson showed on the Skypad, there is no rear end grip so neither driver can go full throttle through the high speed corners. There's a lack of grip at front end so it's not turning in and apex's are being missed. The car is a dog, it will show in one session it has some potential, then in the next its back to shit. They seem to spend to much time messing with the set up and its not working.
Totto determined not to lose this kid like he lost Verstappen (Red Bull offered max the torro rosso seat and Totto had nothing available for a young max).Mercedes are going all out with the kid. Though he has shown remarkable ability to be competitive in pretty much any machinery he has been thrown into, it seems a bit too early
Alonso blaming Lewis FFS
Agreed, next time I will watch again before postingAlonso saw Hamilton coming and tried to turn as late as possible.
Hamilton was driving like if he was alone on the track, and you can't simply drive like that on a start.
Yup - why pick this track for this. What a joke F1 is becomingThis track isn't meant for sprint racing.
Beautiful race directorship missing literally every pass that happens live.
Yep, also I know you have to show max crossing the line, but surely in this age of tech they can do picture in picture and have a smaller picture box of max crossing the line while we watch Sainz/Riccardo/Piastri on the last lap duke it out.Idiot director missing overtakes.
I am starting to think that Lewis is part of the problem, there is a lot of mistakes creeping into his racing, maybe frustration with the car.K Mag made that so much more interesting. 3 x time penalties in a sprint race must be a record. I quite like the hard driving of K Mag (pushing Hamilton off the track was OOT) but apart from that he's so good to watch when defending. Thought he was immense in Singapore.
Mercedes have to trim some wing off rear wing, that Mercedes is so slow.
He will be frustrated for sure. But what is he supposed to do (Russell as well), with a car that is slow in the straights, has no rear end grip in high speed corners and poor turn in, in low speed corners. If you can't trust the car you can't push it and yourself to the limit.I am starting to think that Lewis is part of the problem, there is a lot of mistakes creeping into his racing, maybe frustration with the car.
I can understand the frustration, he still wants to win and is pushing himself and the car, 3 seasons now of driving a dog of a car.He will be frustrated for sure. They brought new floors to Miami and there's been no improvement, more of a case of going backwards. It's as thought they need the biggest bit of luck, to have some debris get stuck in the floor for the car to come alive and work as it should in theory.
They have to make changes to both cars for qually otherwise they won't get into Q3.
Anyway hopefully Norris can get into the top 4 for qually, and his car is repairable (they didn't have spare new parts), cause he could be a genuine threat on Sunday.
Honest of kmag that he deserved the penalties, but did the tactics he did for the team.Very interesting interview with KMag.
