Wolff needs to get on the phone and bring in Sainz.

Russell is a bottler, they need someone better to lead the team

Russell did the same thing towards the end of Singapore whilst chasing, decent driver but under pressure he bottles it big time.

Early into the season but Ricciardo looks done out there, needs to step aside to allow one of the youth drivers to get some experience.

Excerpt from Alonso’s radio during the battle.

Alonso: “Check the throttle”

Engineer comes back: “Yeah we see it”

Alonso: “Something’s stuck, I’m pushing with all my strength”

Engineer: “Copy yeah, we see it”

Double yellows come out

Engineer: “MFB blue”

Alonso; “I don’t know if I can get it back”

Throttle issues. The engineer confirmed it on the radio.

Onboard Alonso does sound like an issue with the car.

Rachael Brooks baiting Russell. “TELL ME HE BRAKE TESTED YOU!!!”

max bottles winning all 24 races just 3 races into the season. and people want to convince me he’s the best ever?

Alonso: I had some issues in final laps in car
Fernando Alonso speaking to Sky Sports F1 on that under-investigation situation with George Russell, when the Mercedes ended up crashing out in chase of the Aston Martin:
Asked about reported suggestions from the Mercedes camp that he had brake tested Russell, Alonso replied: "Obviously I was focusing in front of me and not behind.
"I had some issues for the last 15 laps or something on the battery, on the deployment, so definitely I was struggling a little bit at the end of the race but I cannot focus on the car behind.
"But he's ok, apparently. I saw the car and I was very worried."

Russell: Alonso came towards me extremely quickly
George Russell speaking to Sky Sports F1 about his incident on the last lap with Fernando Alonso:
"My take is I've gone off and that's on me. I was half a second behind Fernando 100m before the corner then suddenly he came towards me extremely quick and I was right on his gearbox. I don't know if he had a problem or not.
"He's off to the stewards and that's a bit bizarre in a circumstance like this. I've got nothing more to say right now. I need to see everything, just disappointed to end the race like that.
"It's clear he braked 100m before the corner and was back on the throttle again and took the corner normally. We've already seen the data of that."
On whether Alonso brake tested him:
"I'm not going to accuse him of anything until we see further. I was right behind him for many, many laps. I was half a second behind him before the corner
"Then, suddenly he slowed up dramatically and got back on the power. I wasn't expecting it and he caught me by surprise. That part is on me. It's interesting he's been called by the stewards. I'm intrigued as to what they have to say."

Karun raised a good point about Mercedes being in the know about Alonso car as they’re the engine suppliers, they will know if he was having throttle issues.
